I have gone twice since I moved back to Suffolk and I love the guy that does me there. I have gotten my hair highlighted the first time and then cut the second and both time I got the same guy to do it and never have I had a bad experience. The price was good. For my highlight it cost me about $50 and for my cut it only cost me $27. If you ever go to the hair cuttery on Main Street I recommend you getting Dalton to do your hair. He is amazing.4 months agoAfter our experience with Great Clips, we found this place just down the road. My children had their hair trimmed here and they absolutely loved it so go here when their hair needs trimming. We visited here 5 times already and each lady did a fabulous job. The best time to go is during weekdays, preferably late afternoon or early morning. The place opens at 9 am and on July 4th. The staff members are awesome.2 months agoKenny was great with my 5 year old son today! After my son was nervous to get his haircut by another stylist he didn’t know, Kenny was willing to cut his hair even though it was out of their usual rotation. He was funny and kind, making my son and myself feel very comfortable. Plus, the haircut (which was needed after my son chopped off own hair) was great. Thank you so much!4 months agoThis was my first visit to this location. I was greeted by Hannah when I came in. She was very friendly and professional. She did a great job on my hair!I did have an 8am appointment so I would recommend updating the hours that show online.

Thanks3 months agoI have been coming to this Great Clips for YEARS. I absolutely *LOVE* Daisha as my hair stylist and almost always make sure I get my haircut by her usually even waiting for a day that she works. She listens to my wants and needs and is very personable and funny. Also, might I add, I come up with crazy haircuts all the time (Mohawks, faux hawks, rat tails etc) and she always does the haircuts flawlessly. She even takes extra steps like edging the lines around my face, and using powder around my neck after shaving my head. She is beyond awesome! I am surprised I haven’t written a review sooner (probably the ADHD short attention span) this a great location and also use the online check-in, it’s also great.a week agoEvery haircut is the same, perfect! I highly recommend this location.6 months agoService was fine, price WAY to high!! Came here for just a wash and blow dry and the price was astronomical, IMO. My fault for not asking first, but I went to different great clips location in the area a week ago and they did a wash and “messy” blow dry and charged me $6, I came here and they did a wash/blow dry with a brush and charged me $48. HUGE difference. I assumed it may have been a little higher for taking more time on the blow dry but not that high, there was no real styling done. I pay less than that for a wash/cut/full style at my regular salon. I won’t go here again because of the price. Felt a bit ripped off.

a month agoI’ve been going to the Great Clips on N Main St in Suffolk,Va for many years and now my husband gets his hair cut there too. We love Margaret and we won’t let anyone else cut our hair. She works her magic every time we come in and we have a great time chatting with her. We love her!! P.S. Checking in on the app makes it so much easier!! All while he was cutting someone’s hair. At least have enough respect to turn people away. While I was waiting, I made an online appointment at Great Clips. They were AWESOME!!! On time, quick. Save the headache, go to Great Clips.2 years agoUpdate 2nd review: Margaret is a favorite and just as wonderful too!! I was nervous to try someone other than Selena but Margaret was just as amazing. Selena wasn’t there and we didn’t want to wait until Monday but no regrets! Highly recommend Margaret! I was really impressed with her level of patience.When we arrived she was the only one working. The phone was ringing, people coming in and out and she maintained her dignity. My daughter felt very comfortable with her, and enjoyed their time, while she cut they chit chatted away much to Kaiyas delight. (My daughter loves to talk)
I’m adding pics from Margaret’s excellent cut. She too also really listened to what we both wanted. I could tell she really wanted to get it right and make us both happy and she did!! I was very impressed by her resume, she often expresses how she loves what she does (you can tell too!) and has been cutting for over 30 years! She told me how she even used to work for Revlon working with many professional models and numerous other clients and it definitely shows!! Just wow!!
1st review: Selena is a favorite!! Highly recommend her! Will be a lifelong customer requesting her every time from now on! She was extremely knowledgeable, personable, friendly and really listened to what we wanted. We told her we wanted something with not too much length taken off, so she gave a beautiful layered cut to really bring out my daughters curls &got rid of her dead ends, gorgeous! We got the shampoo and cut. Love the end result! Such an easy to maintain style too!
a month agoChecked in online got a text for my appointment. Get there I’m not in the system. They tell me it will be a hour wait. When checked in it was only 15 minutes. Showed them my message from there system, and the lady got and attitude with me. I will never do busy with this company again. As I walked out the door I ask that they please have there system checked. Again the lady got an attitude in front of about 5 customers. Two walked out behind me.5 years agoI have been getting my hair cut here for about 7 years. Margaret is my stylist. She does an amazing job. I have short hair and I have never had a complaint about my cut and I am very picky. The place is very clean as well as the restroom. I always get a very welcome greeting when I call or come in. I live 40 minutes away and will not go anywhere else.
