4 months agoMorgan did not give us what we asked for and annihilated my sons hair. He cut all the hair off the top sides so that my son is too embarrassed to go anywhere. He took 3 inches at least off when was supposed to just clean up/ trim ends. My son now only has hair in middle of head with almost nothing on sides. He cut off his beautiful curls. He is 15 years old and devastated. Morgan didn’t ask follow up questions or communicate during cut to assure he was giving us the cut we wanted. He barely looked at the photo we showed and it did not come close to the photo. I don’t think this was even the stylist we were scheduled to have who was supposed to know how to cut curly hair. He cut all the curls off. I immensely regret going to this barber shop .2 months agoAllyson was fantastic. I’m very picky about my service. Showed up at 850 and waited for them to open. Walked in and John was a no show. Waited 50 minutes and still a no show. Staff tried of offer me other services that I did not want.

2 months agoIt’s hard for me to get a haircut where the stylist cuts my hair to look like I want it to, and not like the stylist wants to. In addition, I hate appointments for a haircut. I was “ in line” at another place. Because of the wait , I called Sports Clips . No wait. They were staffed with a stylist for every chair. This haircut was important for me because I had a photo shoot for a CD cover. I even brought 2 pictures for stylist to choose from . Kaela actually said no problem. I’m a 74 year old solo pianist whereby the record company wanted me to “ look modern”, instead of the longer Chicago “ greaser” look . She took her time and cut my hair perfect.Not the “ razor cut”, short “ southern over starched “ blue cotton shirt ,cotton khaki pants, topped off with cordovan penny loafer shoes.
Same look like it was in 1967 when I came here for college.
Conclusion;
I had no wait as a walk in . The stylist Kaela cut my hair exactly as I wanted. She was personable, friendly, didn’t bore me with small talk, or talk about how Memphis “was”. She kept her opinions to herself.
You only have one chance to make a good opinion, and obviously this sport clips made a great impression on me .
In and out 1/2 -3/4 hour .
7 months agoJames was the guy who cut my hair. Older black man. Very in articulate. Shoving my head around instead of just giving me some indication by putting light pressure against my head which is what’s commonly done. I finally called him on it. He turned me so I couldn’t see the mirror and then spit on my head. then he took the sprayer and sprayed so much water on my head That water ran down my face. this happened at about 1:20 PM on Saturday. Should be easy to check the cameras and see him do it.3 years agoTerrible haircut. Then the situation was made worse by “Christy” the “person in charge”…If a client is dissatisfied, deescalate the situation, solve the issue, and move on. Don’t argue, tell the client you weren’t there, basically it’s not your problem, then start talking about having surgery and stuff.
All they had to do was get a stylist to fix my Sons hair. I would have accepted that. Instead we were given a refund and had to go to a GOOD salon to get it fixed.
This was a regular stop to get their hair cut for about 2 yrs…not anymore.
7 months agoIt was my first time to get my haircut done here and I loved my experience and the ambience of their salon. Would definitely come back. I expected the price to be more expensive but it was not.6 months agoCourteous and prompt service. The true test was upon returning home after the haircut. My wife approved the stylist efforts!
