  Let me start off by saying I’ve always had a good experience until today. I called to get an appointment for a prescription refill with a doctor that left office yesterday. I was completely okay with this and asked to have an appointment with anyone because it was just a refill I needed. I then explain I will be out of town for 14 days and just needed an appointment when I get back. I then get lectured by the receptionist about how I need to keep better track with my prescriptions and appointments? I’m calling 14 days in advance and called my pharmacy 14 days in advance to get it refilled. She tells me since it’s a heart medication I really should be making appointments every three months to be seen and how once again I need to keep up with my prescriptions. My doctors gave me a YEAR prescription bc me and my doctor know what type of heart problem it is and it’s not as serious. I am then told how I will need to call back every morning at 7:30 am to see if there is any cancellations instead of even TRYING to find an appointment two weeks out. After some back and forth she schedules an appointment for tomorrow but made sure she didn’t hang up the phone until she tells me I’m summary that it’s my fault and need to be more diligent with making appointments. I can understand making a point once but not over and over again to someone trying to get an appointment in advance.

  Love Brenda Kozak, her nurse Lisa, DR Renninger (sad that she is leaving) and her Nurse Yolanda, Danielle, Spencer and the front desk staff at the Amherst location. I just wish the turnover would stop. I feel like as soon as I get close to someone they leave and that sucks for any patient.

  I have had no problems with the service I received from them. My doctors are very concerned about my health and the treatment is very good. I like it’s in and out and I don’t have to be there all day. The doctors and nurses are nice I have no complaints. They can do something about the phone service it’s to slow and I always have to have a callback.

  I have a OBGYN schedule and they called me and told me it was cancelled due to they did not receive my paper work when I called my doctor and told them go send it over they don’t make your appointment for you they don’t hwlp with transportation or anything. I will be finding another doctor cause they are not on it when it comes to pregnancy and appointment

  It’s been a couple months since my visit there but I’m finally emotionally ready to share. My childhood cat of 14 years (had her since I was 6) was diagnosed with end stage kidney failure and after doing hospice care at home over the weekend, I believed the time had come to do humane euthanasia. I took her here since they were the only place in Lynchburg open that day for this service. From the moment I walked in, all the staff were extremely kind to me and understood me being an absolute wreck. They explained everything clearly to me and let me have alone time with her before and after the service. They even did a clay mold of her paw prints for no extra charge. Dr. Seroki was amazing and empathic. A couple weeks later I even got a hand written letter in the mail from her and her staff expressing their sorrow for my loss. The cremation service was smooth as well, it was actually done sooner than I expected and came in a very nice container. Thank you so much for being understanding during one of the hardest losses I’ve experienced. I will definitely return here if any of my other pets has an emergency in the future.

  Our dog was bitten in her face while we were visiting friends at SML and she needed stitches. Not knowing the area we started calling around and this place was available. It was an hour away, but it was our closest option.

  As soon as we walked in we were greeted by a very compassionate and kind staff member. She checked us in and we were shown straight to a room. They took our puppy back, sedated her (required,because the wound was right by her eye), stitched her up and had her back in my lap within 25 minutes. Incredible.

  I found each staff member to be kind, compassionate, and genuinely interested in our puppy’s well-being. This was a very stressful event – our dog is just six months old and this is our first big thing. They made a bad day better. My daughter and I were very grateful. I can’t recommend them enough.

  I took a female stray outdoor cat that I care for to this clinic at midnight on a Tuesday night and as soon as I arrived I was promptly spoken with regarding the cat’s symptoms and history, and she and I were taken back to an exam room where Dr. Harper came in to see us within minutes. Once he found out the problem he gave me the diagnosis, explained everything clearly and gave me several treatment options. He and Shelby the nurse/vet tech were amazing, and so kind and compassionate. I was pleasantly surprised by the charges, everything they did for my stray kitty cat totaled up to a very affordable price. And just know folks if you go here for emergency pet care and it ends up being more than you can pay up front, they have a couple of options for financing and payment plans. Overall, I had a really good experience in a worrisome situation at this vet clinic. Thanks again, Shelby and Dr. Harper!

  They saved my pet’s life! We had a good experience from the front desk… the vet… and the checkout. So grateful for this clinic and the cost wasn’t what I thought it would be. Emergency services cost more for a reason…. but I didn’t think they overcharged us. Thank you to all of you that work all night saving lives!

  Our French bulldog swallowed some gum that one of our children dropped on the floor. We called for help, and the staff almost immediately gave us the info we needed to save her. Didn’t cost us a dime, and they were extremely professional and knowledgeable. Thanks so much for the help, you saved our dog!

  I made an appointment at 9:35am. Was told it would be 11:28am before my son could be seen. At 10:58am, I got a text saying they were running behind and appointment was pushed to 11:58am. At 11:27am, I got the text that said we needed to be there 10 minutes before the appointment time. At 11:41am, we arrived and called in. We were once again told our appointment was pushed back to 12:18pm. We waited in the parking lot till 12:15pm. We walked in to the front desk and were told once again it was delayed for another 30 minutes.

  At that point, I asked why our appointment kept being pushed back WITHOUT notice. The front desk lady “apologized” but said their clinic WAS a walk in facility (then why the appointment system?) It’s obvious they don’t value their appointment system or your time!

  Fortunately, my son isn’t feeling too bad. Imagine if you are feeling quite sick and are told to wait and wait and wait, with no idea when you will actually get seen or why you even make an appointment to begin with.

  Staff was very uninterested in helping me. The nurse pactictioner I saw would not help me and offered no solutions to the pain and vomiting I had. She only said that they didn’t prescribe pain medication. I wasn’t looking for serious schedule pain medication. I would have preferred Ibprophen. I was there in the exam room for over two hours waiting to only be told they could not help me. She let me go without any help other than go to the hospital if I wanted to. She ordered blood test only to tell me she didn’t believe I was having any issues, as I had already vomited in the office and been in and out of the restroom there. I would also like to add that when I arrived there was a man out front that was tweaking on something. I watched him for several minutes until he got into a car and pulled out a crack pipe and began to smoke it in the parking lot. Be aware of what happens around you there.

  this is the BEST walk-in clinic in this area, hands down. the staff—from the front desk receptionists to the nurses yo the drs.—are friendly, welcoming, compassionate, and knowledgable. i have never felt rushed, always felt listened to. my presenting issue, and the treatment thereof, is always thoroughly explained. i could not recommend this practice more.
