3 months agoI had no experience with this Action Urgent Care so i didn’t know what to expect. I called and the woman on phone was super patient and answered my questions. I made an appointment for that day and it turned out that was a great thing to do. The Med Assistant at the Chico Safeway clinic was super nice and explained everything as we went. I talked to the doctor by Zoom. She was in the Bay Area. She was great too. For my situation this worked fine.They were all courteous and competent. Thanks!a month agoThe service was great. Fast. Straight to the point. Kind & helpful. It’s nice when you can go somewhere and talk to people like regular. If I ever have a workmans comp claim, I’ll go back there again. Convenient for me since it’s near my home.4 months agoI had a very positive experience. The woman at the office was very helpful, friendy and professional. I didn’t have to wait all that long to have a virtual visit with a doctor. The doctor was attentive and asked a lot of questions about my illness. She prescribed a medication and I was on my way in an hour.4 months agoI have never had such a pleasant urgent care experience. Made an appointment via the app and was seen right when I arrived. Was tested for COVID, strep, and the flu on the spot and received results while still in the room. Both the nurse and the doctor were very kind. Would absolutely recommend.2 months agoThis was a really convenient option and everything was hassle free. Megan in particular was so nice and welcoming. She went out of her way and left me feeling much better than when I came in.

6 months agoThe bureaucrats and “managers” do their damnedest to usurp the good work done by most of the line staff! I have not had much luck with the VA since my 2 doctors retired! I am now giving them another shot since the new site is supposed to be much better than the old Chico VA outpatient clinic!?! Dr. Panal and Dr. Eaton are sorely missed! (Sacramento VA). Update: The Chico Clinic is MUCH better than it used to be… in social services ONLY! Otherwise, quite frankly, it is a HUGE stretch to call it HEALTHCARE!2 years agoHave always received good, appropriate care at the Chico VA clinic and, in a fairly reasonable timeframe for routine issues. Not perfect but I truly appreciate them doing the best they can with limited resources. Negatives are that there is no real same day/convenient care, sometimes longish wait times for appointments and, having to drive to Mather for anything beyond basic care. But the positives outweigh the negatives for the cost and, things work well for routine care. Shouldn’t expect this clinic to provide a full service, major hospital level of service!4 years agoNew location here3 years agoAlways a good experience here. I had a few changes of doctors but it’s cool because they’ve all been really good. I really appreciate all the men and women who work at this location as they’ve been great.New Facility Update:
Such a nice new building. Now there’s lots of parking. When you walk in there are like 5 self check-in terminals and multiple help desks. The main waiting area has nice new chairs, some of which have USB ports and an outlet on the leg so look down. The pharmacy and eyeglass lab are next to each other. I chatted with the pharmacist and he said he was happy and they were properly staffed. The rooms are big and clean. There are drink and snack machines as well as a drinking fountain made to fill water bottles. All the staff I encountered were very pleasant and did good work. Doc B got me all squared away.
10 years agoI’ve recently been receiving care from the Chico clinic after years of receiving care at Mather. The service in Chico is so friendly and helpful. I can sense that the Chico workers actually care about veterans. I feel blessed to experience this quality care. BUT, yes, the phones are horrible at primary care. Mental Health is squared away; the guy answers or calls back. I just hope my health remains stable and I don’t have an urgent primary care need.

in the last weekDoctor is friendly, staff are friendly, but no one seems to be able to do their jobs correctly. I just established care with this office and it’s been 3 weeks since I originally asked for my medications to be refilled. I I asked again on my follow up appointment, still nothing. I just called and was brushed off by the clerical staff. I also asked for a referral to a podiatrist, again, crickets. Bottom line, of you rely on maintenance drugs for your health, you might want to look elsewhere.5 months agoI feel so blessed to have Dr Lee as my physician! I would recommend him to anyone who is looking for a doctor. He is willing to take his time and listen to any questions that I may have. He is always on time and it’s so refreshing not having to wait. For anyone looking to find a doctor, please make an appointment with him! The other thing is that his nurse/receptionist, Franchesca is also so amazing and kind! You can’t go wrong by making an appointment with him. She is so smart and gentle, my top choice for taking care. I have to say she saved me. Sunshine insisted I get mammogram and it was early cancer! All good now, thank you Sunshine❤️ My care is with Sunshine because she makes the stuff we women have to do so easy!
