6 months agoMy husband has been going to Danny’s for years and has had a pretty good experience, but my son on the other hand did not. He got his haircut from the old man today (not sure of what his name is), and he ended up shaving my son’s head instead. He tried explaining to the barber that he wanted a fade, but looked at him super confused so went about a different route with 1 on the sides and 2 on top, but was told it’s going to be too long so he grabbed a razor and just went at it with his head. Also, my son’s neck is all cut up/burnt that it hurts. Poor thing is pretty scared from the experience today that he’s afraid of ever going back. The only reason why I’m giving this place a 3 is because of my husband’s experience. Would be a 0 if it was just based on my son’s ?3 months agoGood professional barbers. Actual barbers. Clean setting, good prices. If your like the old style gentleman’s club barbers with the barbers chairs and straight razor shaves, this os the place for you. Danny or Nikki leave my hair looking like a work of art every time.a month agoSo you’re telling me a thirty min basic haircut and shave costs $70. Don’t get me wrong the service was excellent and Megan took care of me. Insanely overpriced.5 months agoI went from fairly long hair to basically a quiff. I walked in and was told I should wait for Danny to be back the next week. I really appreciate this! This is by far the best fade/haircut I have ever had. Thanks so much!6 months agoHaircut was decent and basically worth what I paid. However, this place does not have the greatest hospitality. The barber was a bit aloof and did not give me confidence that they cared about giving a good cut. Last point I’ll make is that, when I went to pay, I was told they do not accept either Discover or American Express which is a dealbreaker for me. Decent place but I’ll probably go elsewhere next time.

3 years agoService was amazing! It’s got a really cool rocker vibe. You walk in and are greeted with a smile. Oksana was my barber and she was amazing! I cant wait to schedule my next haircut.2 months agoAs a regular patron of Floyd’s 99 Barbershop, it is with a heavy heart that I pen this review. My son and I have long been devoted customers, appreciating the skill and expertise of stylists like Ms. Erica and Ms. Barbara (manager) who has always provided stellar children’s cuts for my son.Our recent visit, however, was marred by an experience that has left us disappointed. The front desk staff inquired about my son’s age, who just celebrated his 11th birthday, and promptly declared that he now qualifies for a regular men’s cut. While we understood the age-based policy shift and accepted the higher pricing, what followed was less acceptable. An additional $8 fee was imposed for creating a hard parting line, a service which was categorized as a ‘design’. It was disconcerting, especially considering that we were not informed about this charge at the onset and had never been billed for this previously by Ms. Barbara. The lack of communication and the unexpected fee was an unfortunate surprise.
Despite the notable skill of the barbershop’s staff, the customer service experience has recently been less than satisfactory. An instance like this can indeed result in losing loyal customers. Regrettably, we plan to seek our hair grooming needs elsewhere.
In a world replete with choices, the decision to walk away from a service that no longer meets our expectations is an unfortunate, but necessary step. We do so respectfully, hoping that our feedback can foster improvements in customer experience for others in the future.
a month agoMy former barber moved away and recommended Sierra at Floyd’s 99. She didn’t steer me wrong. The staff are really nice and Sierra was awesome. She took the time to find out how my old barber did my cut and nailed it the first time! Easiest search for a new stylist ever.2 weeks agoMy son showed the stylist a picture of what he wanted. My guess was he didn’t have the hair thickness to pull it off, but I’m not a specialist so I don’t know, so instead of telling him she can’t do the cut, she RUINED his hair. My son had beautiful curly locks past his shoulders and she cut it straight across. Clearly has no idea how to handle curly hair. She gave him mini bangs, yep, short lady mini bangs. When I complained, she played up the sides AT MY SUGGESTION not her own, because she had no idea what she was doing at all, and made it 1% better but his hair is still ruined. I wanted to throw a bigger fit while I was in there but my son was already almost in tears knowing his first day of Junior year was the next day and he got a cut so bad it can’t be corrected, so I didn’t. If I threw a fit it would mean saying in front of him how terrible his hair is and I don’t want to make him feel worse than he does. It’s so bad I feel I should get paid for his therapy sessions he’s going to need. I want a refund. Do NOT go here for long or curly hair. You will be ruined beyond repair.4 months agoI was surprised that they were so busy this afternoon. I had scheduled my cut with Samantha, this was my first visit to this location. I had voiced concerns to her about my thinning crown and that I was looking for a new style since my hair was changing. She sympathized and mentioned how to style it and ways to cover the thinning, for now at least lol.I was satisfied with the cut and didn’t see a bad cut leave the place. Cool spot ??

What to Consider When Visiting a Barbershop in Cedar Park TX
When going to a barbershop in the United States, there are a few things to consider to ensure you have a pleasant experience and achieve your desired haircut or style.
- Research the Barbershop: Before visiting a barbershop, it is a good idea to do some research. Read online reviews, check their website or social media pages, and ask friends or family for recommendations. This will help you find a reputable barbershop that is known for providing quality services.
- Make an Appointment: Many barbershops in the United States operate on an appointment-only basis. Calling ahead and scheduling an appointment will guarantee you a spot and save you from waiting in line. Some barbershops also offer online booking options, making it even more convenient.
- Communicate Your Desired Style: When you arrive at the barbershop, it is essential to effectively communicate the desired haircut or style to the barber. Take reference pictures or be specific about the length, texture, and shape you want. This will help the barber understand your vision and deliver the desired result.
- Ask for Recommendations: If you are unsure of what haircut or style will suit you best, don’t hesitate to ask the barber for recommendations. The barber’s expertise and knowledge can guide you in choosing a style that complements your face shape, hair type, and personal style.
- Discuss Maintenance and Styling: After getting the haircut, talk to the barber about the best way to maintain and style it. Ask for product recommendations and learn proper styling techniques. This information will help you recreate the look at home and keep it looking fresh and well-groomed.
- Tipping: Tipping is customary in the United States, and it is common practice to tip your barber. A standard tip ranges from 15% to 20% of the total cost. However, if you are exceptionally pleased with the service, you can tip more as a gesture of appreciation.
- Hygiene and Sanitation: It is crucial to choose a barbershop that maintains high standards of hygiene and sanitation. Make sure the barbershop follows proper sanitation practices, including using clean towels, sterilized equipment, and disposable tools when necessary. This will ensure your safety and prevent the risk of infections or skin irritations.
By considering these factors, you can have a positive barbershop experience in the United States and leave with a haircut or style that meets your expectations.

The Ultimate Guide to Men’s Haircut Prices in the U.S
When it comes to getting a haircut, many factors influence the price you’ll pay, especially in the United States. While the average cost of a men’s haircut hovers around $29, this number can fluctuate based on various considerations like your location, the expertise of the stylist, and the complexity of the haircut you desire. This comprehensive guide aims to break down these variables and offer tips on getting a quality haircut without breaking the bank.
One of the primary factors affecting the cost of a haircut is the location. Whether you live in an urban, suburban, or rural area can significantly impact the price you’ll pay at the salon or barbershop.
Average Cost of Men’s Haircuts by Location
Location | Average Cost Range |
---|---|
Urban areas | $30 – $40 |
Suburban areas | $25 – $35 |
Rural areas | $20 – $25 |
As evident from the table, haircuts in urban areas tend to be the most expensive, with prices potentially going even higher in high-end salons in major cities. In contrast, rural areas offer the most affordable options.
If you’re searching for affordability, chain salons and barbershops are good alternatives. Students can often take advantage of discounts to further minimize costs.
