Vicki was amazing, she really left a good first impression and hooked me up, I will most definitely be returning with her as a usual. Very good atmosphere as well.

Visited Sunday September 3rd, I arrived at 10:05 right after opening. There were 5 or 6 stylists just sitting on their chairs and none of them got up to meet me at the counter. No smiles and they all looked miserable like they hated being there. 2 or 3 of them were talking extremely loud with profanity. I walked out and did not even finish checking in. This is part of the reason why I quit going to this location a couple years ago.

The stylist scammed me into the more expensive MVP haircut for $29.

This was the first time I’d ever been here and just needed a haircut, so I walked in and sat down and saw no signs for the pricing or details for their haircuts. I figured I’d probably spend about $20 being that it’s a men’s haircut chain. After the stylist, Leslie, cut my hair, she brought me to the shampoo station. Before I sat down, I asked her if this was part of the basic cheap haircut and all she said was, “it’s part of the mvp, our regular haircut experience.”

The haircut itself was fine, but I don’t appreciate being unknowingly pushed into the more expensive haircut. Beware.

Ms. Deanna at this Sports Clips location is great at what she does. Not only did she give me a sharp looking haircut, she provided excellent customer service, and was easy to talk to. For a broke college student you can not beat the deals at Sports Clips, and you would be silly to go anywhere else. It it a little bit far away from campus, but if you make it there you will be glad you went.

Man I love this place! First time in a d while crowded went fairly quickly with three barbers working. No nonsense here. Straight forward in and out but they handle you with care. Hot towel and razor shave on the back of the neck is a nice touch. I have been in and out of the salon scene for the last ten years for my haircuts. One I dislike the pretence and two the price. This place is a real barbershop for dudes…..that’s it. For 20 bucks I came out of there looking like Gregory Peck for crying out loud!

I love this old school style barber shop!!! Just walk in and wait your turn. No BS with booking appointments. I’ve seen these guys turn out some nice fades and more. Definitely make a stop.

Genuinely the worst haircut I have ever received in my life. If you are under 60 years old I would never recommend coming here. After the guy was finished I looked at my ears and I have never seen anything like it. Complete embarrassment to this business. I don’t know if it was just the barber I got or if it is them as a whole but I would never step foot in there ever again.

I grew up with my family cutting hair for a living so this is the first haircut i’ve ever paid for. I was definitely impressed with the details of the outline on my hairline and beard.

I’ve been here roughly a dozen times, and only two people there seem to be able to cut hair. I was only even coming back because the next closest place to my house is even worse. No more. They have ruined my hair right before trials, before hosting a huge recorded event, and before more than one formal event.

Almost a decade of going to cheap military barbers and I have never been so dissatisfied. I have to tell them every single time that the haircut someone put in their notes is wrong. I ask for the same haircut every single time, a low fade to the skin. Instead, I end up with a number 1 not to the skin, almost no fade, and not even close to low, not even medium. I end up walking out with closer to a high and tight almost every time. Then I have to go home and finish it myself because half of the stylists do not clean up behind the ear. That is not hyperbole, I literally have to fade above my own ears every time. It is not my job to train your stylist. 3 times I have been funneled to the same woman; because I don’t have time to wait for a particular person.

Another issue here is that you cannot sign in online until the store opens. The store does not even open until 10 so there is always a line of people waiting to get in and sign in. The doors open at the same time as online check-in, so you have people at home signing in before the line of people already at the door. I showed up 10 mins before the store opened and signed in as soon as I could, and it took over an hour to get a haircut.

Finally, I find it extremely annoying all of the advertisements for the support and benefits related to the VFW when there is constructively no benefit to being a member of the VFW. A free shampoo at a men’s barbershop? No male combat veteran wants a shampoo after waiting over an hour for a bad, overpriced haircut ($29 before tip for a 5 min trim with nothing off the top is ridiculous). Also, somehow even with all the signs none of your staff even knows that it means Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Ive been to a few sports clips and honestly this was my worst experience. I asked for a 2-1 Fade/Taper on the sides and back and leave a good amount of length on top (6 inches or so). Usually it’s always done right. This time I ended up leaving with a 3 all around, maybe 3 inches of hair in the front, uneven trimming (hair was literally getting pulled out as she’s using the clippers), and and a couple high spots. The lady who cut my hair was really nice and held a good conversation, which is the only reason I paid. But this was not worth the $30 I spent. I really wish I just never went at all. Hope this will advise someone in the future.

I frequent this location whenever I’m in need of a haircut. Yet, I must say that Jessica K. has far been the most knowledgeable over my hair. She precisely told me how sides of my hair grow, which I thought was interesting and made a mental note of. Further, all hair stylists here have given me great cuts/trims and I can confidently say I have never had a bad experience.

Taylor did a great job on my haircut. She went quick and did it exactly how I wanted it with no mistakes. She also was very sweet and easy to talk to. 100% reccommended and I have been going there for about a year now.

The last few times I’ve gone here, I’ve shown the barber pictures of what I want and have been given a completely different style to what we agreed upon. Just asked for a mid drop fade and my hair was buzzed almost entirely, only leaving the FRONT HALF (yes she buzzed off the back half of the top of my head) of the hair on top of my head.

The Ultimate Guide to Men’s Haircut Prices in the U.S

When it comes to getting a haircut, many factors influence the price you’ll pay, especially in the United States. While the average cost of a men’s haircut hovers around $29, this number can fluctuate based on various considerations like your location, the expertise of the stylist, and the complexity of the haircut you desire. This comprehensive guide aims to break down these variables and offer tips on getting a quality haircut without breaking the bank.

One of the primary factors affecting the cost of a haircut is the location. Whether you live in an urban, suburban, or rural area can significantly impact the price you’ll pay at the salon or barbershop.

Average Cost of Men’s Haircuts by Location

Location Average Cost Range
Urban areas $30 – $40
Suburban areas $25 – $35
Rural areas $20 – $25

As evident from the table, haircuts in urban areas tend to be the most expensive, with prices potentially going even higher in high-end salons in major cities. In contrast, rural areas offer the most affordable options.

If you’re searching for affordability, chain salons and barbershops are good alternatives. Students can often take advantage of discounts to further minimize costs.
