3 months agoCame in as a walk-in and Damien took care of me. His attention to detail with my cut and beard work was outstanding, I was impressed with his skill, they offered me a beer to go with my cut and it really felt like I was welcomed from the start. Book with Damien and you won’t be disappointed. I was lucky to get in when I did, I advise making an appointment. If I’m over back in the OC, Damien is my guy.4 months agoJust moved to HB, needed a skin fade at 5pm on Friday last minute, was calling all around to see who could get me in. Anna got me in right away and was super nice. Alonso cut my hair and I’m super happy with it. Be advised it is cash or Venmo only but they do have an ATM inside the shop, don’t let that deter you from a great haircut and experience! Super cool vibe in the place and also very clean. 5 stars easily!3 months agoCame in the night before my wedding, I had a connect that hooked me up with Charlie. Was told I wouldn’t be disappointed.I wasn’t.
Great haircut, I’ve never had a better barber experience than this one. Cut was clean, sharp looking and he trimmed up my beard in a way I always wanted but could never fully describe to my LV barber.
The conversation flow was enjoyable and effortless, and when I asked him for a pomade recommendation and he gave me the jar he was currently using, with it being nearly full. Good stuff too.
It’s the little things that make a good experience transform into something a person will always remember.
Thanks man.
When opportunity knocks and I’m back in HB area for family and friends, I’m coming right back.
4 months agoBest place in OC to get a haircut. I moved to SD and it’s difficult to get up there regularly but when I do it’s a fresh and clean cut. Big ups to the owner Luis I was there when they first opened and they have come up lots of famous people come through. Get the Frank Sinatra it’s my favorite.3 months agoWas visiting from out of town and didn’t have an appointment but a Luis was gracious enough to squeeze me. Gave me a great haircut. Was very pleased by his professionalism and his work. Definitely recommend!

2 weeks agoToday was my First time taking my 2 sons back in 4 years . Love the new location and the larger space (they were still in the previous one 4 years ago) . Both kids had appointments with Jason, and they were both happy with their results!( If my kids are happy I’m happy) would definitely recommend Jason.a week agoA+ for hospitality. Greg did my cut. His service was awesome, coupled with a flawless haircut and beard trim! Highly recommended!2 months agoTook my son to the barber for the first time. I usually cut his hair but I wanted to give him a barber experience, as I’m a hairstylist. Sam did, phenomenal and the vibe was super chill in there. I’d come back, if ever in the area again! Thanks Sam!a year agoI should have read the reviews here first. Do NOT go here if you’re booked with Sam MacDonald.Sam is very rude, entitled, lacks empathy, and absolutely will botch your haircut. And it seems a lot of other reviewers here have had the same experience. Why keep this guy around if he can’t treat people well?
Context: I was late to my appointment because I was also taking care of my wedding planning prior to the appointment.
I did the polite thing and called to give him a heads up about the situation. He already gave an attitude over the phone telling me to “be there on time”. Red flag.
Once I arrived to the place, I apologized and introduced myself. He stares me down, refuses to shake my hand, makes a face, and felt the need to say the obvious: “You’re late”. He points at the chair and proceeds to angrily cut my hair. He didn’t bother to understand and hear me out.
The guy also didn’t try at all to cut the tension and make me feel at all comfortable, which shows he has a poor sense of customer service and people skills. I just sat in silence through the most awkward appointment I’ve ever had.
SPOILER: Turns out he doesn’t cut hair well either. Besides the fade (which I told him was ok to omit due to time), the overall cut I asked for was simple, yet the cut he gave me was uneven and textured weird. Nothing like the picture I showed.
Personally, I’ve been late to hair appointments at other places in the past because of meetings at work that run over or typical life things that happened and my go-to barbers back home are STILL able to give me a damn good haircut even under a time constraint MINUS the unnecessary amount of sass that Sam felt was appropriate to give me. In retrospect, that was a stupid power trip move to make himself feel good.
I regrettably paid because I felt bad vibes with him giving me the silent treatment the entire appt. That made it clear that he would’ve been a pain to negotiate with and I didn’t want any problems with him or any of the other male barbers at the shop. I felt unsafe to speak up at the time.
Never coming back here again. Hopefully the shop owner will confront this guy so he can stop messing up people’s hair & making such an awkward atmosphere.
Save yourself the time, don’t book with this jerk. Better go find a place with someone who will treat you like a person with a life that doesn’t revolve around salvaging his ego.
a month agoThe place used to be great for a prime barber experience. It’s gone downhill imho. I had a bad experience with a ‘new barber’ – Never heard from the owner. I hope they fix it. Will not be back.

4 months agoAbsolutely love this barbershop! The atmosphere is welcoming and the barbers are incredibly skilled. I’ve always been extremely happy with my haircuts here, and the attention to detail is top-notch. The barbers take the time to listen to what I want and offer great suggestions. Plus, the prices are very reasonable for the quality of service. Highly recommend!6 months agoMy Son and I were Walk-In customers. First time customers. Been to many barbers and seem to never get it right. Taylor cut my son’s hair. Taylor did an amazing job. Haven’t seen my son’s hair look that good before. Lorenzo cut my hair and cleaned my beard lining. Lorenzo did a great job as well. Definitely recommend them both. Atmosphere was great! Appointments are recommended, but they accepted walkins with no issues. Very glad I found this place.6 months agoGreat, quiet spot where you will get the BEST cut. I’ve been going to Alana for years and I followed her to this new shop, and I’m so glad I did. If you’re looking for a barber and you’re concerned about going somewhere new, just know that I’ve recommended several people who are very particular about their hair to Alana, and they said it was the best cut they’ve ever had. Whether you’re right down the street, or need to drive up from South Orange County like me, it is absolutely worth it. Just book the appointment, you won’t be disappointed.6 months agoMy first time there. It was a great experience. The atmosphere was friendly. They had music playing and a large screen TV playing. The cut included the straight razor and hot towel. It felt really nice. The only drawback for me is the cost is much higher than if you went to a buzz cut barber.6 months agoI am a returning customer and always leaving satisfied! Hayley always does a Killer job! She is easy to talk to and takes pride in her work. What else do you need? I’ll definitely be back in 2-3 weeks. Thanks again ?

The Ultimate Guide to Men’s Haircut Prices in the U.S
When it comes to getting a haircut, many factors influence the price you’ll pay, especially in the United States. While the average cost of a men’s haircut hovers around $29, this number can fluctuate based on various considerations like your location, the expertise of the stylist, and the complexity of the haircut you desire. This comprehensive guide aims to break down these variables and offer tips on getting a quality haircut without breaking the bank.
One of the primary factors affecting the cost of a haircut is the location. Whether you live in an urban, suburban, or rural area can significantly impact the price you’ll pay at the salon or barbershop.
Average Cost of Men’s Haircuts by Location
Location | Average Cost Range |
---|---|
Urban areas | $30 – $40 |
Suburban areas | $25 – $35 |
Rural areas | $20 – $25 |
As evident from the table, haircuts in urban areas tend to be the most expensive, with prices potentially going even higher in high-end salons in major cities. In contrast, rural areas offer the most affordable options.
If you’re searching for affordability, chain salons and barbershops are good alternatives. Students can often take advantage of discounts to further minimize costs.
