4 months agoWas a little worried coming in at first usually get a pretty typical taper fade with some length up top. This time I’ve been growing out my hair and knew I should get the back and sides trimmed up, and was little nervous how to explain what I wanted. DJ was awesome and hooked me up with exactly what I wanted. Highly recommend for all types of haircuts!a month agoI started taking my toddler here when he was 2 and they do a wonderful job! Jose is so patient and does so well with children, not to mention he always makes his hair look great! All the staff is very welcoming and friendly. Will always recommend to anyone of any age in need of a barber!3 months agoTrim, beard, eyebrows, and hot towel shave… DJ did an excellent job, and the shoulder massage during the hot towel treatment made my shoulders melt! I travel 90 minutes for Bongos!3 months agoI have had the pleasure of getting my haircut at Bongos for the past several months. I have a rather thick head of hair, so I am told. Bongos has never commented on my hair’s “difficulty”. Instead, they have provided me with the best haircuts I have ever gotten. They have truly perfected the fade with ease. I have personally visited Anthony and Wady and only have had great experiences. They are one of the few barbershops that I trust. Their availability and ease of scheduling is phenomenal. I will be back!6 months agoWe came here for the first time today. My son has autism and it’s been really hard to find someone to cut his hair because he struggles with loud sounds and people touching him and have had places tell us that they cannot cut his hair. This is the first time we’ve had anyone be so patient and reassuring with him. I cannot express how amazing Betzy was with my kid and not to mention the vibes and haircuts were exceptional. We will definitely be coming back as regulars. His dad even got a haircut that looked awesome! We won’t be going anywhere else but here from now on.

Great service and they have always had fantastic hair cuts from here. We drive the hour for them to get their hair cuts. They received a warm neck towel, shampoo and conditioner, plus a neck massage.a year agoMy husband went for a hair cut. There was a hairdresser with her big smile and we both felt good and hopeful for a good cut. Don’t be fooled!!! The hairdresser gave him a very bad haircut and made a very unprofessional trimming to his beard and mustache became super crooked. I couldn’t believe in my eyes what that hairdresser did. I even pointed that his mustache is crooked and her reply was ” Oh, hehehehe I will make it better but in the end she corrected her mistake with worse work. Dear God!! She destroyed his look for weeks. On the top of that she was a sale-woman and promoted many things like shampoo, beard-cream etc etc. This visit is the LAST visit. I have no idea why this place has some good reviews. I guess that people in general have lost their taste. Save your money but mostly save your head and face from those fake workers.a year agoAwesome staff, and always a great cut. Online check in is the best.

2 months agoWent in today and got a high skin fade. Been to barbers all over Greenville and none of them ever get it right. Katy did a excellent job, best cut I have had in a long time. Highly recommend.2 months agoShave on Fifth has a great atmosphere, Katy has been my Barber for a few years and she does a fantastic job on my haircuts. I also like they way you can schedule appointments on their website.a month agoI have medium length hair, I called to ask if they had someone who knew how to scissor cut and they said they did. I booked with them. Went in for the cut and they shaved my entire side burns off and cut off way more hair than I asked for. I even showed them an image before the cut of myself with a previous haircut, front and side profile. Complete waste of money and now I have a bad cut.7 months agoIf you need a barber, go with Michael Maida at the downtown Greenville LocationI had an appointment with Mike but he had to cancel for personal reasons. I am in the military and need my hair to standards for training this weekend, so Mike offered to come in early to make sure my hair is cut. When I got there, he was finishing up folding towels because I arrived earlier. I decided to help him, folded about 15 towels, and then got my haircut.
When the haircut was over, Mike told me I didnt have to pay because I helped him fold towels. I have never wrote an online review in my life, but Mike has been great over the last two years and 15 towels does not warrant a free 40 dollar haircut. Book with Mike you wont regret it.
9 months agoI booked an appointment for 9:30 am and drove all the way from Wilson just to get cancelled less than 30 minutes prior to my appointment. In the barbers defense he offered to reschedule and even cut my hair still (I do not want a rushed haircut for my big day). I get married and will be leaving town tomorrow to which the barber offered to cut my hair early but it would be inconvenient due to having to make another trip down to Greenville then drive another 4 hours west. They do an amazing job at cutting hair and is worth the money I’m just disappointed in the service and the fact I gotta drive back to Wilson wasting time and gas without a haircut.
