I love how they’re open til 9pm, saved me 2 trips to the emergency room so far! Always greeted promptly and with a smile. I’ve seen 4 different doctors here and they all listen and genuinely care about helping their patients. Follow ups are only $35 which saved me a lot a couple occasions. 10/10, I won’t go to another urgent care. William is the most helpful doctor I’ve seen in my life so far, answering a question that 10 other doctors have said “I don’t know to”. Can’t recommend this place enough! They also have primary care, X-rays, ultra sound, and physicals here, which is a much quicker wait time than other medical providers in the area.

William, our doctor, was knowledgeable and made us feel comfortable right away. Our care was fast, compassionate, and comprehensive. When we ran into problems getting our prescription filled at a local pharmacy, we had to return. They worked us in right away and made sure we got the antibiotics we needed that evening. Thanks to Nadine and her shot giving skills. If I lived in Santa Fe I would trust this team of professionals with my Healthcare needs. As a visitor I am grateful they were there when we needed help.

Fantastic and efficient urgent care center. The staff is super friendly, professional, and they have you in and out of there quickly. I love it and even more because I can book an appointment via their app. It’s easy and I didn’t have to wait longer than 20 minutes.

This is literally the only place I’ve received great medical attention in Santa Fe! I’ve also had a good experience at Presbyterian but they no longer have an urgent care and anyway I prefer Aspen. The people are lovely! They are easy to work with. Sometimes the wait times are long but take advantage of their urgent care visit scheduler. 10/10

I have had two visits at Aspen and both have been beyond expectations. Dr. Kat and Dr. Tina displayed professionalism, compassion and medical expertise at the highest level. They, as well as their support staff, have shown me they care about helping people that walk through their doors. I wish l could say the same about treatment l repeatedly received at a long established ER on the east side of Santa Fe, which is so close to where l live. Aspen is so worth the drive. The people who referred me and I realize the impact they are making in our community. That is why l do not hesitate to recommend them.

I went to Concentra to get PT for my knee that the orthopedist recommended. The PT person I was assigned was very thorough but also very real. He told me exactly what I needed to do to take pressure off the knee and stop bowing in both knees. I had dealt with Concentra when I worked for the State but am very impressed in their outpatient patient services as well! Have been working with Nicole for the last three sessions and she is even more awesome and keeps me on track!

When I first got in, me and my family let those in front know I was there for a dot examination where I was greeted with a stone face. I thought was interesting but quickly brushed it off my shoulder because I believe everyone is entitled to be a little grumpy on a bad day. I was asked to complete a questionnaire which I completed on my phone right before it died. Later I was asked to do the questionnaire again because It didn’t go through, so I did it again and noticed it was asking me about my hearing eye sight an weight before I realized that part was probably for the examiners. Realizing the fact I went up to the front to ask if I was mistaken where my I was met with that stone face again and no reply, it was a different clerk this time and she fixed the simple problem and sent me back to wait. My son was being hyper and he can get pretty loud and forgets to use his inside voice so I sent him and my wife out to the car to wait for me. Time was ticking on and I saw that we were nearing the time they stop taking patients at which point I was becoming worried that they wouldn’t take me in due to the fact that we had drove an hour to get there from where we live. I was about to ask for a refund at about 15 till 3:30 as I looked at a poster on the wall that had a list of customer service goals that I read and crossed out the ones that weren’t met in my head. Finally I heard my name and got up to once again fill in the questionnaire which I did quickly and proceeded to the examination. The practitioner also had that stone faced look so I remained quiet unless I was asked a question which was given like an order. At last, (after completing the eye exam and urine test) I met with the doctor who was much more professional, (at least on the surface) and I was out of there. All in all my experience was not great, but at least I was finally done with it.

I had quit a lucrative career and moved from Indianapolis Indiana to Albuquerque New Mexico for a promising career that I had always believed was out of reach. That being said the company in Santa Fe I had applied for and received a position from required a physical at your facility. From the start I felt as I was a burden from signing in to the finish. The reception at the desk was put forth as if I ought to know what was going on while constantly filling out paperwork. At one point I stepped out to get information needed for the paperwork and received a call stating that I needed to come back inside as I had more paperwork to fill out. When I was finally called back I was put in one room for a test and the assistant came in and acted as if I was a burden to her getting what was needed for her portion of the testing. During the eye test faze I was required to remove my glasses for the eye test. From there I went for hearing testing of which I was instructed to remove my hearing aids. After all testing I went in for conference with the doctor who had mentioned that the computer system kept acting up. After consultation the doctor advised me that I had failed the required testing that my employer needed. On return to my employers office and advising them of the results, they couldn’t understand why I was instructed to remove my hearing aids and glasses. So therefore I feel that as I understood it from my employer that this was the wrong approach to the hearing vision and prescription that this in turn caused me to lose a lucrative dream job and am now possibly going to have to put out more finances and return to Indiana missing out on my dream career.

The front desk attendants were friendly, helpful and pleasant. The technician who facilitated my tests was polite and performed her job well. However, I waited in the waiting room for over an hour before I was taken back for my tests. People that arrived after me were taken ahead of me without explanation, leaving me with the impression that had I not spoken up I would have waited even longer.

The wait was almost an hour. The guy who gave me my TB skin test was great. Return visits only took a few minutes.

I came here for a severe meniscus injury. I couldn’t fully flex or extend my leg. Rana Russell examined my knee thoroughly, made an assessment, and discussed my treatment options with me. I left the office with a referral to the proper orthopedic physician. I received a better diagnosis, more information, and comprehensive patient education from her than my usual PCP (Alma Family Medicine). The staff at this Urgent Care are excellent. My review would be five stars were it not for the extensive wait time. I waited an hour to be called back to an exam room, and another 45 minutes before I was examined. Just know that wait times can be up to three hours. This is a better alternative than the ER and my PCP who is booked out for weeks.

NO MATTER WHAT YOU DO! DO NOT COME HERE! I WISH I COULD GIVE THEM NEGATIVE STARS. There seems to be a major lack in competence as well as compassion at this urgent care. I would say I have been here around 4-5 times, hated each experience but returned due to Santa Fe’s lack of decent healthcare centers. This particular visit, today, 8/23/2023, really took the cake. I came in because I was in need of a TB test and physical for a new job. I told the woman who seems to usually be in charge in the front (wears glasses, has some pink/blonde streaks in her hair, nasty attitude) that I was also in need of the TB test. She fully acknowledged that the form I brought in, included that information, assuring me that both things would be taken care of. So, I wait in the lobby knowing they said about 1hr wait time. Great, totally fine. However, the wait time was 3.5 hours long. Once I finally get to the back and am filling out a TB form they tell me that I need to be able to come back in 48-72 hours for the interpretation of the test. That is not possible for me as I am leaving the state on Friday. I know that common sense is not so common but I am truly baffled at the fact that in an entire urgent care, not one person thought that would be something worth mentioning? Especially when I initially was signing in. Those are 3.5 hours I will not get back, on top of them having no issue to charge my card within 5 minutes of me being there. To make matters worse, as I stood in the back of the office one of the women working at a computer sat there chuckling as I expressed my frustrations. I find such behaviour absolutely disgusting. The rate at which Black women are not taken serious in the medical field is ridiculous and whoever that woman was (maybe a doctor or NP, looked about 40-50s, curly brown hair) (no names of any workers were given to me during this 3 hour wait.) I have visited several of the healthcare centers in Santa Fe, on numerous occasions, and never have I experienced such a disgusting lack of concern. When I voiced my concerns, the women at the front desk were dismissive and stopped speaking at me to address someone else. I wasn’t finished speaking with her. I’m not sure if this place needs DEI training, time management training, or simply a class in manners but something is wrong and needs to be addressed. Oh! To put a cherry on top of the entire situation another person was allowed to enter the lobby and wait with other patients when they expressed that they were experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 and were “pretty sure they have it again for a second time”. Personally, by the amount of posters on the front door before yo walk in, as well as inside the clinic, it seemed pretty clear that those people should not enter or can wait in their car. Not one worker seemed to be concerned about this either. This must be a testament to how poor the healthcare system in Santa Fe is if they have been rated the #1 urgent care 2016/7-2023. Major yikes. — at Railyard Urgent Care.

Absolutely the most professional and caring team I’ve experienced in an Urgent Care. I can’t tell you how happy I am after going there with a clogged ear. They saw me faster than was originally stated and took care of my problem with grace, humor and above all else, ability. It may have been routine for them, but it made all the difference for me. I’ll always go to them for issues I may have in the future.

Very professional and kind. It was busy, yet it did not take long to be seen. The Nurse Practitioner who treated me was sharp. She prescribed a medication that fixed my issue immediately and ended a week of suffering. After being in the medical field for over 3 decades myself I can heartily recommend this place. Vince

I went in with a pretty seriously infected cartilage piercing embedded in my ear. I really appreciated Dr. Addington’s approach—he could tell I was disappointed that I would have to give up the piercing and offered the option to cautiously try to resolve the issue with antibiotics rather than immediately removing it and flushing out the area. He gave easy to follow instructions and I was able to keep the jewelry—healed up beautifully! Meant a lot to me that Railyard staff listened and let me take a conservative approach I was comfortable with.

Planning to Visit a Family Doctor? Here’s What You Should Consider!

24 Hour Clinic in Santa Fe NM
24 Hour Clinic in Santa Fe NM

When visiting a family doctor in the United States, there are several things to consider in order to have a successful and efficient visit. These considerations include:

  • Insurance Coverage: Before scheduling an appointment, it is important to ensure that the family doctor accepts your insurance plan. Contact your insurance provider or check their website to find doctors in your network.
  • Medical History: Gather all relevant medical records, including previous diagnoses, treatments, and medications. This information will help the doctor understand your medical background and make appropriate decisions regarding your care.
  • List of Medications: Create a comprehensive list of all medications you are currently taking, including prescription medications, over-the-counter drugs, and supplements. This list will help the doctor avoid potentially harmful drug interactions.
  • Reason for Visit: Identify the specific reason for your visit to the family doctor. Write down any symptoms or concerns you have, as well as questions you would like to ask. This will help guide the discussion during the appointment.
  • Appointment Length: Determine how much time you will need for your appointment. Some family doctors may have limited availability, so it is important to request the appropriate appointment length to ensure all your concerns are addressed.
  • Transportation and Parking: Consider the logistics of reaching the doctor’s office, including transportation options and parking availability. Plan ahead to avoid any added stress on the day of your appointment.
  • Language or Cultural Considerations: If English is not your first language or if you have specific cultural needs, inquire about language services or cultural support that the doctor’s office may provide. This will help ensure effective communication and understanding.
  • Follow-up Care: Discuss with the doctor any necessary follow-up appointments, tests, or referrals to specialists. Make sure you understand the next steps in your healthcare journey before leaving the office.

By considering these factors, you can have a more productive visit with your family doctor in the United States, allowing for better communication and optimal healthcare outcomes.
