a month agoThe whole staff at the Mt Pleasant facility treated me with dignity and grace. The wait was not long and they seem to be very organized with the work flow. Dr McCoy was very knowledgeable and made me feel at ease with my situation. I waited way to long to get help but he, Sham, the young lady who took my vitals, and the front counter “check in” gentleman never shamed me or made me feel uncomfortable in any way. I am feeling much better today because of them. I appreciate this whole team for helping me in my time of need. I hope I do not see you again under the same circumstances but it’s nice to know you are there if needed.a week agoI arrived to receive treatment for a cut on my finger around 9am today. The cut happened at 9am the day prior and re-opened at 8pm that night. Since I arrived 24 hours after the cut happened they wouldn’t treat it.While I understand policy and adhering to it, that is not the reason for my first ever negative google review. The physician was the absolute rudest human I may have ever encountered in health care.
The first words out of her mouth were not hi, hello, or anything cordial. It was a blunt, clipped, and rude statement followed by more of the same. The way she behaved made me feel like I was being chastised for seeking stitches. Maybe if I had asked for narcotics or any controlled substance it may have been justified behavior on her part. As it stands now I will never visit another one of their locations for anything ever, period. I hope you don’t have the same experience here.
a month agoHad to bring my daughter to MEDcare while on vacation. Checked in online was greeted at the door and taken back all within 10 minutes. Everyone we came in contact with was very nice. The doctor was very patient and took the time to listen to my daughter and explain to her everything she thought was wrong with her. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.in the last weekI was having the worst gout attack I’ve ever had and the staff got me a wheel chair and go me in quick. They were incredibly understanding. Dr. Jeffrey Anderson is on point everytime I’ve been there. He has my respect ? The cherry on top was a stranger in the lobby insisted on pushing me to my car in the rain and holding an umbrella over my head while he was getting soaked. 10/10 best experience I’ve ever had at the doctors(minus the gout.)a month agoI was visiting out of town and found myself needing an urgent medical intervention. I chose MEDcare based on customer feedback, location and a clear descriptor of available services. I was not disappointed. Registered on line, chose my appt time. I arrived slightly early, greeted by a very professional person. Short wait. I was ushered to an intake person, then to an exam room where a PA took care of my needs. Prescriptions called into local pharmacy and the total process was less than an hour. Facility was exceptionally clean and easy to access within the Charleston SC area. While no one wants to include a clinical/medical visit within their vacation itinerary MEDcare in Mt Pleasant made it seamless. Thanks to everyone for taking such good care of me. 4 months agoI Highly Recommend Doctors Care. The Entire Staff Were Exceptional From Front Staff To Nurse To Doctor. Their Skills, Knowledge And Professionalism In All Aspects Of Medical Care Totally Put Me At Ease. The Nurse Administered Tests For Covid And Strep And It Did Not Hurt At All. She Was Amazing. The Doctor Was Very Kind, Gentle And Respectful. She Told Me The Test Results, Examined Me, Discussed My Diagnosis And Medication That She Prescribed And Was Completely Thorough in Every Step Of Treatment. Within Hours After This Visit And Taking My Medication I Felt Much Better. This Was An Exceptional Experience. I Highly Recommend.2 weeks agoEveryone was so very nice and friendly. The receptionist was efficient and had a great sense of humor, the nurse was very attentive, and the doctor was knowledgeable and competent. I was extremely impressed by the care I received here.5 months agoAwesome Office Staff as well as caring nurses and doctors! Had an amazing experience with them. They saw me in a timely manner, addressed my concerns and had me in and out. Loved the way the office staff greeted us even though it was the end of their day and I’m sure they just wanted to go home. a month agoI was extremely disappointed in the treatment received here. I came in with a fractured wrist, 2 times it’s size and little to no mobility. I originally visited the doctors care off of Jonnie Dodds and the doctor there was lovely. Unfortunately they didn’t do x rays there so I was sent to this location. The X ray tech was nice , thorough. I sat in the room waiting for the doctor for 20 minutes. doctor Tunney popped his head in and said “your X ray looked fine” He Didn’t even take the time to come in, introduce himself , take a look at my wrist etc. He also didn’t give me any follow up instructions , or options as to what would be causing the pain & swelling- yet he didn’t even see the swelling because he never stepped foot in the room to examine it. The practitioner at the first doctors care was great, she called me after and told me things it could be – and recommended for me to see an orthopedic surgeon. Very disappointed in the care that Dr Tunney gave me at the Ivy Doctors choice. Seemed very interested in being paid as a doctor but not providing the care needed. There needs to be better screening / bedside manner courses taken. I will not return here.2 weeks agoThe staff is very friendly. I was seen by a doctor after a very short wait and was finished quickly. I also just walked in without an appointment. I highly recommend this location to anyone who appreciates fast and friendly service.2 months agoDr. Tunney and the rest of the staff there were friendly, professional, and made us feel like we were in excellent hands. They listened well, asked good questions and took the time to make sure all our questions and concerns were adequately addressed. Hardly had to wait to be seen, too. Highly recommend it here!5 months agoDo not go to this Doctors Care or any for that matter. I went in for an appointment, after paying for the appointment up front and waiting an hour I was seen by the physician. He told me he needed two hands to do the procedure, but is unable as one arm is in a cast. I asked if I could come back tomorrow when another physician was in, but he told me rather than aggravating it further, he will call in to his colleague to the other Doctor’s care close to the bridge and have me “be seen right away”. I drive 20 minutes further one way to this doctors care to a full waiting room and then told that the other patients need to be seen first. I am 2 hours in to this ordeal and 7 other patients still need to be seen. I am upset because I was led to believe something very different and would have never came to this other Doctors Care if this was going to be the case. This place does not communicate accurately which is very important in healthcare and overall seems very unprofessional and put together. Do yourself a favor a go to another urgent care. You have better options.3 weeks agoVery thankful for the help I received at a recent visit. Staff was professional and competent, yet courteous and caring. I felt in very good hands. Outstanding staff, all the way around.
