a month agoMy experience from start to finish was great. Front desk person (wish I had her name) was so kind and helpful with checking in. Angela (nurse) was so awesome and fun to talk with. And she totally listened to all I had to say. Sara (PA) was so nice to me while going through her tests. So easy to talk to. I’ve been there before and have always been treated very well, hence I keep going back.3 weeks agoThis was my first visit to AFC Urgent Care Beaverton and I am so thankful to have found myself in their office for a wellness check up. The woman at the front desk ( sorry I don’t think I got your name) was so kind welcoming me and getting me set up for my appointment. After that Leonila (MA) led me back to the exam room where she was so kind and warm checking my vitals (also returning to draw blood later,) before Sara (PA) came in to give me a more thorough examination. On top of that my lab results came back the next day which was amazing. Thank you for all of your kindness!a week agoAfter finding out that i was allergic to one prescription, Trista and Sarah went over and beyond, to make sure I had a new prescription called in as soon as possible That would work for me to expedite my eye healing and health. Great job and thanks again, hopefully they both get a pay raise for their service and great personalities.a month agoI’m grateful for the experiences I have been able to have with the whole team at AFC in Beaverton. They have been very kind and courteous, they listened to me and showed they genuinely care about their patients needs and their concerns. I’m very grateful for all of them. I don’t remember everyone’s names so please forgive me team AFC because you are also important, but in the last couple of days Trista, Sara, and Erik have truly helped me and have been 100% on top of my care and I thank you all!! 2 months agoIm not the type to write reviews but if i could i would give this place a 0, dont go here, I had an appointment with dr gargi gupta and she was rude and did not know what she was talking about. Ive had PCOS symptoms since i was 14 years old and she made me feel very uncomfortable and unheard, she wanted to just put me on birth control to help “regulate” my hormones… she obviously knows nothing about PCOS. According to her that was the only thing she could do for me and got upset with me and started questioning me when i told her that putting me on birth control was only putting a bandaid on my problem and not helping me find a solution. Waste of time and have never felt so unheard and embarrassed will never come back.6 months agoGo ANYWHERE else, This place is a total scam. They charged me $240 just to have the dr, one Kathleen klunk, tell me that yes it sounds like I need lab work, and I should make an appt at a different location (of the same company) that actually does lab work. Well no duh lady, that’s why I went to urgent care in the first place. Also be warned, the tigard location charges as emergency care not urgent care, which they also didnt tell me. I’d give 0 if I could, these people should be ashamed of themselves.5 months agoWent to get a prescription refilled because I am heading out of town and my PCP is not available on weekends. Was there at 3:05 for a 3:00 appointment. Not 3:06 (5 minute late policy). Would not see me. Glad this is not life saving prescription.7 months agoSeverely disappointed with my experience. Previously I had amazing PA’s. However my recent experience left me with a highly transactional and clearly new PA. They completely ignored what I was sharing about potential causes of my issue. Instead they misdiagnosed, overcharged and left me feeling really uncomfortable. I’m disappointed this location’s PA went downhill but adding a star for the excellent employee at the front desk who checked me in – THEY were nice.a year agoI scheduled an appointment for a routine std test and it cost me over $400. I am insured through my employer and this is always a free service.Here is how it went. Backing out of an appointment with less than an hour before the appointment means you will be charged. in my case it was well over $100. I was told my insurance will not cover the preventative lab tests (fully covered on my plan) as they are a “retail healthcare” establishment. Of course, I did not want to loose the money for nothing so I went along with it and met with the nurse.
The appointment was basically just a discussion about how much I would pay for each lab test. The bare minimum (urine test and blood draw for only HIV) was already hundreds. Out of curiosity, I inquired about additional testing. Hepatitis testing adds hundreds more to the bill. Other, sometimes recommended, tests requiring swabbing do not exist from what I was told.
I was locked into a big payout from the moment I scheduled the appointment. In my opinion it was a scam and their practices are a threat to the overall well being of our community.

a month agoThere was a long wait, but staff was absolutely fantastic. The staff kept offering water, they repeatedly thanked the waiting for their patients. Once it was my turn the staff was friendly and she was led me thru the process so I had no questions. The process was quite speedy. After I was offered more water and a snack. They were professional and friendly.3 weeks agoI had to come here for a contaminated needle stick injury. I’ve gone in for blood work and my hep B vaccine which is a series. The staff gave me my first dose and in my follow up visit the Dr. repeated himself with my test results he informed me of in the previous visit and said we need to start the vaccine. I told him they already started the first one last visit and he looked at me like I was crazy. He had to go back through my file and find the documentation. So either they didn’t document properly or he didn’t bother to check my file thoroughly. My recent blood work visit, the lady (I didn’t get her name) taking my blood, stabbed both arms multiple times and caused extreme pain. She said she couldn’t get the blood to flow out of my veins…I’ve never had problems giving blood before. She also forgot to use alcohol wipes when switching arms. Ashley ended up coming in to take over and took my blood just fine!a month agoFirst I would like to say that the employees were very nice however the music was way to loud for an urgent care & music choice of hip hop playing was not appropriate for an urgent care in my opinion. I am a nurse & found it very inappropriate. I went in to have my annual tb test & was poked 6 times only to have to return the next day for another attempt. I believe the medical assistants need more education as I had to remind the 2 medical asst. who attempted to draw my blood, to use an Alcohol prep prior & what needle gauge to use & found myself providing them education. This is an urgent care & although the staff was nice there was a lack of professionalism from the staff (from the exaggerated long eyelashes, long nails, big hair & also bright hair color) which quite honestly have no place in the medical field.in the last weekWent for Dot physical in and out Fairly quick for an urgent care, everyone was pleasant and the doctor was cool as heck! Overall great experience.a month agoSuper friendly, in and out fast. Didn’t make me wait forever where you are going to piss your pants! Also they didn’t come across as A-holes as many of the U.A places do. I would recommend this place if that’s something you need to do.
