  1. Shut up and take my money, this place is INCREDIBLE!!! Cream is the name of the game when it comes to cocktails here. Purified heaven. All of their smoked meats are incredible. Personally loved the brisket and smoked chicken. The Cucumber salad and root salad are delicious.

  2. Handsome Hog has an amazing brunch menu! Everything we ordered was delicious with well balanced flavors. My friend had their Handsome Hog Hot Brown which was absolutely fantastic! The house ham was juicy and incredibly tender, the pecan bacon had a perfect balance of pecan and bacon flavor, the mornay sauce was rich and creamy, marinated tomatoes came on the side along with a cup of mixed greens, and the Gouda and the sunny side egg crowned the open faced dish with the egg having the most perfect run I’ve ever seen. I had the BBQ chopped salad which was exactly what I was looking for in a salad. Of course I ordered their Bacon Old Fashioned with a fancy ice cube that had a hog image in it and my friend ordered their Bloody Mary which came with a proper beer chaser which was again perfect; not too spicy, but definitely not mild. And the final drink that we ordered was a pineapple drink that was just as refreshing as it looked. Our server Amanda was excellent – we never felt rushed, overlooked, nor was she overly attentive. Handsome Hog is a favorite brunch spot and I can’t wait until they open their patio… it’s one of the best in town! Five stars for their amazingly delicious food and five stars for our server Amanda.

  3. This place was absolutely amazing! I had the brisket hash. The flavors meshed so well. It had a slight kick but just warm not hot at all. I do wish the potatoes were cooked just a hair more.

The chicken and waffles were cooked perfectly and tender. The flavor for the breading was delicious.

Staff was friendly and kept the water full.

  4. If you haven’t been to the Handsome Hog yet… you need to go! We’ve driven past so many times, saying we should try that. We’ll tonight was the night for date night! Tyler was our server and he was incredible! Great suggestions and he gave so many details about the menu. Our drinks were delicious, the food arrived quickly, and well… it was delicious! Seriously, we will be back again soon!

  5. Our first trip to Handsome Hog and it will not be our last! Great attention to service from the beginning. We arrived to our reservation early and they were able to seat us right away despite being very busy. Our server Alex was the best, answering our questions and making suggestions. So easy to talk to and knowledgeable. I rarely drink and ended up ordering the #dope. It was so balanced and smooth, I thought about ordering another. If you like mussels don’t miss these, you won’t be disappointed. I ordered the Coffee Rubbed Elk Tenderloin. I’ve never had elk in a restaurant and they prepared it beautifully. All I can say from service, to food and drink Handsome Hog was a great experience, thank you!

Beautiful experience here, top to bottom. This is not going to be the most informative review but I learned a lot from our gracious server. She was patient, attentive and helpful. This is my second time going here but I feel much more relaxed and comfortable knowing how much they take care of their customers.

The food itself is absolutely to die for. We had the king crab, the surf and turf, the shrimp tempura and the oysters. Do yourself a favor and ask the server about the selection of oysters. They are all different in flavor and size, texture as well. You can definitely learn a thing or two about fine dining when you come here. They will do any preparing of the king crab so that you don’t have to mess up your hands or look clumsy doing it. Also, just FYI they have a program where you spend $25 you’ll get a $25 credit back. And it’s a rewards program that also works at several other restaurants here in Minnesota. It is totally worth it.

Most wonderful 1st time experience! The service was insightful regarding the menu & pleasant I regards to drink offers/refills & manners.
The food was impeccable! Please give my compliments to the back of house employees as well as whoever you purchase you meats from!! It was rather pricey prior to eating but once all the food was devoured it felt as though the price was right. Thank you for the memorable experience. I look forward to coming back soon!!

The finest seafood experience in the Twin Cities! As a staple in downtown Minneapolis for many decades, it’s always a delight to enjoy their amazing menu and their top quality service. Our visit was on a busy Saturday for a friends with a party of 8 (note: they only sit parties when 75% of the group is seated), which only took a few moments to be placed at a table.
We were fortunate to have Tony, a 17 year veteran of the restaurant, as our waiter – and his seasoned expertise showed throughout our meal. From the advise on bar service with espresso martinis and our friends ordering oysters while I had the clam chowder appetizers, to delivery of our delicious surf and turf of bone in ribeye with the Alaskan king crab upgrade plus lobster mac & cheese, the experience all around was worth the money. Plus you cant leave an amazing meal without a perfect finish tantalizing your sweet tooth!

Amazing experience as to be expected. Valet offered for $15 and very worth it unless you’re just walking from a hotel – downtown parking can be a nightmare.

I ordered the escargot for an appetizer that had the perfect blend of buttery garlic and rich bold flavors. Followed by the live lobster. They crack it and she’ll it right in front of you making for a show. Finishing off with baked Alaska! For the month of October this is pink for breast cancer awareness and I like that as well.

Drinks I recommend anything on the menu, the guava daiquiri was nice and refreshing as well as the sangria. Both come in a nice presentation and the guava has an “edible orchid” though I did not try it. Worth the $$ and a great experience

My wife and I went to Oceanaire for our 5 year Anniversary and they did not disappoint. The host was very friendly as she walked us to our table, asking us if there was a special occasion. She then relayed the information of our Anniversary to our server Chuck. My wife and I both agree Chuck was by far the best server we have ever had at any restaurant. He was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and precise. He gave great recommendations, answered our questions, and he knew exactly when to check in with us. We orded oysters, appetizers, salads, entrees, and desert. The food was spectacular, tasted great, looked amazing and was very fresh. The best however was the pacing, once we ordered the food came out perfectly in order and on time. It felt like we were never waiting for our food. The moment we were done with a plate it was cleared by the server assistant and our next course was brought out. The whole experience felt very much in rhythm from the kicthen to the wait staff. We couldn’t have been happier with our experience. We will definitely be back!

The place had a fancy vibe that looked like it was suitable for business meals. Most people were dressed in a corporate manner even when it was on a weekend. The food was excellent and the service was on point! The waiters were wearing uniforms that showed that they were a restaurant with class. My only critique was that it was slightly expensive. As much as it was a fancy restaurant and I did not expect the price to be cheap, the quality and price still had an imbalance in my opinion. We did not manage to try the chicken pot pie because it was out of stock, so we will be back to try that next time!

My friends and I ate dinner on a Wednesday night in the fancy (stuffy) dining room. Next time we should try the bar or jazz room. Service was excellent food was good. The beet salad was the best dish I ate. The lobster toast was okay, I won’t get that again. Vesper cocktail was another highlight!

Wow! This place is what dining is like in older movies.
Swanky, posh and phenomenal food. Just a wonderful experience!
The drinks are crafted precisely. By that, I mean the bartender takes their time and does right. Well done.
We went (unbeknownst to us) during “Restaurant Week.” So they had an added menu just for the occasion.
The Texas Tenderbites (listed as an appetizer) were delicious and addictive. We wanted more but thankfully refrained.
The Butternut Squash Soup was absolutely superb! You have to try it.
Next was the Diane (steak). The rich smokey flavor was mouthwatering! I have to say, I couldn’t bear to use the sauce that came with it due to the flavor being so amazing.
We capped it off with one chocolate cake and one key lime pie. They’re dessert, so they’re rich and filling. But good Lord were they incredible!
The service was spot on. Tim was our server and was fantastic!
One thing to mention is that there is parking in the back. But, the parking lot is very small and there’s only one way in and out. So you might want to be prepared to park elsewhere. Just a heads-up.
    This is a must visit!
    I hope this helps. Cheers!

Fantastic experience! We sat at the bar for dinner and had very attentive and knowledgeable bartenders. I would highly recommend this to anyone. The presentation of our dishes was 10/10! I had the Cesar salad and onion soup 9/10. Service 10/10. Atmosphere 8/10.

Our experience at the Lexington was incredible. Jess and Liz helped us that night. We had a party of 15, and they handled us expertly. They were very helpful giving us recommendations on the food, since many of us were new.

Everything was out very quick, and even with how many appetizers we’d ordered, the table was never too full with plates. Service was very regular, and I was specifically helped with finding the bathroom as well as putting away leftovers. With this experience, I definitely recommend the Lexington to anyone wishing for great food in a great restaurant.

We had a good experience here and would go again. We sat inside but there is a huge outdoor area I would like to try next time. This places goes out of its way to let you know it is FRENCH! Decor, menu, etc. There are not as many entrees and choice as I would prefer, instead the menu is grouped into several sections with 4 or 5 items in each. We had the octopus appetizer and scallops appetizer both of which were wonderful. The drinks were fabulous, they make a great martini and give you an extra glass of booze to refill your stem glass. Nice. I had the Cobb salad entrée and I didn’t really enjoy it. I should have ordered the baked walleye. My wife had the steak sandwich and really enjoyed it. Also as our waiter was bringing the round of drinks he spilled some down my back which I didn’t appreciate!

Salut is perfect for dinner or just a nightcap thanks to their skilled bartenders, simple yet effective cocktail menu, and lively atmosphere. If you do go for dinner, the wines by the bottle are so well priced, you won’t break the bank if you have a cocktail to start. The escargot was a great start and the pastry atop the mushroom tart was cooked to perfection but the star of the evening was the hangar steak with garlic butter and bernaise. Excellent value and great selection of wines by the glass too. Can’t wait to try even more of the menu on their beautiful patio.

Very cute and cozy. French music playing in the background and posters everywhere. Very French inspired American menu. Everything I tried was pretty good. Had their ginger ale with house made syrup that was refreshing. Went during weekend brunch and got their Benedict florentine-overall flavors were wonderful. Downside, huge slice of raw tomato underneath the beautiful poached egg and sautéed spinach really let me down. But the sauces on this were delectable and the creamy hash that comes with is gooey goodness. I’d go again to try other things in the menu. Maybe just not for brunch, since the menu is small and it can get pretty crowded. Servers and employees were kind and helpful as well.

Walked in not expecting to going upstairs to be seated…such a dope breakfast atmosphere with vibes to match in this. However, I would definitely make a reservation ahead for inside seating because they can get busy, otherwise there is outdoor seating with heaters when the weather permits.

The Chicken Fried Steak and Eggs was bomb, and I really liked the gravy. The carrot cake pancakes were also good, you can do the baby cakes (smaller pancakes) and it’s almost enough to share. The overall quality of the food was on point, which definitely helped cause some of the prices are bananas, especially on their coffee drinks…I have never seen prices like this like EVER!

Overall I would still go back to try more of the menu.

Delicious breakfast! Mission and vision of this place is very awesome! Wasn’t a fan of the Bloody Mary mix used (too much pepper flavor) but the rest was awesome and the servers and kitchen staff were working hard to get things out fast from the kitchen! They succeeded! They were out of sausage on a Saturday morning, but with supply chain issues at an all time high, we understood and chose something else and enjoyed it. Great patio seating areas, but not enough shade umbrellas on the smaller tables in the sunny area. We were there early in the morning so it wasn’t too hot yet. We went on the last day of summer restaurant week, so it was busy and bustling. We definitely want to go back to try other things on the menu. Cool location and a community-minded business who is making a difference! So awesome!

The place is really cool, with lots of plants and open concept, and a huge patio. The service was warm and very helpful. They have an extensive menu for both savory and sweet.

The food was a bit mixed for us, we ordered the:
    – Banana Churro Waffle: it was stellar, my husband ate the whole giant platter and could have gone back for more.
-Pork belly & biscuit which had a good biscuit, decent grits, & chewy pork belly (the smaller pieces were significantly better), over all the dish was really under seasoned, but the mustard vinaigrette was amazing. Honestly a little more salt and spices and the dish would have been great, but it was kinda meh.
    – Vietnamese Coffee, delicious!
    – side of hash browns (ordered extra crispy) – wasn’t seasoned at all and not crispy

While the savory fell flat, we also didn’t order their most popular options, so we will be back to re-evaluate.

Really cool place with a wonderful mission and commitment to the betterment of the world. Love everything they’ve done to help others, especially during the pandemic, despite only having opened in 2019. For example, when we were there in Oct they had a promotion of 3 items you could order off the menu that would donate to 100% of proceeds to the American Cancer Society. This alone earns them an extra star.

Word to the wise – There are 2 single stall genderless bathrooms, and there was quite a line for them when we went.

Parking is tough. I was expecting it to be difficult but not this bad. They ended up taking our name off the reservation list after holding it for 10 minutes which is understandable. Luckily, they still had the table available and we were seated as soon as we arrived. We sat outside on one of the patio areas. It was pretty hot but we were able to maneuver out of the sun. Food was extremely decadent, maybe too rich for me, but flavors were good. We each got a coffee drink, an entrée, and a dessert and shared everything. We honestly should have just shared a dessert because we ended up with a ton of leftovers. Server was extremely attentive and answered all questions thoroughly. Fun place to go with friends!

I have to give this place some of the best praise I have ever given a place to eat. The service was amazing and super friendly, the waitress we had really was so nice and outgoing. The atmosphere was great. It is a little cramped with a party of 10 or more, especially with all the tables around ours but I wouldn’t let that lead to a negative review in anyway. The food was delicious, everyone in the party praised everything they ate. And the drinks were so good. Some had alcoholic beverages they loved and some had non-alcoholic which were just as amazing.

10/10 would probably come back but not with a huge party. Would make a perfect little date brunch for anyone.
