  1. The oysters are as big as my fist! So meaty and juicy and refreshing for summer with some cool beer to pair. Great for afternoon lunch when it’s not too crowded! I hear this place is packed for dinner. The crawfish is so fresh! Scrumptious and the perfect mild-spicy consistency. The gumbo was good too. We didn’t try the Thai food but I think this place is astounding for the boil and seafood here. I keep thinking about those oysters! Go before season ends.

  2. The ‘deckhand’ style oysters were great, nice size. Love their salt and pepper calamari but we got with shrimp this time which was great, love this dish, they’re breading is always flavorful and light. The addition of onion, jalapeno and cilantro with the slaw is super tasty! Kids shrimp and Fry basket was plenty and reasonably priced. The mussels dish with rice had a ton of flavor, kind of like a kicked up super spicy ramen broth. My only complaint was the service, our waitress was incredibly slow and took forever to bring the things that we asked for and did not check on us unfortunately but I’ve been a fan of deckhand so far and am super pleased they have the new location right near the old!

  3. Food was very good. Fries, rice, shrimp, crab legs and sauce. Prices were good too. I left off a star because the Wednesday I went they weren’t broiling or frying oysters. I literally only went for the oysters. Also because my 7yo splashed garlic butter in his eyes and needed a sink to rinse them. Since they were prepping to close, they locked the bathrooms and offered us a cup of water. Kinda insensitive. If you’re going for something specific, ask if it’s available before sitting.

  4. We visited a couple weeks ago for the first time. I had a craving for fried fish and tried the Fried Catfish Fillets. They were wonderful! The fish was flaky and perfectly cooked, the coating was crunchy and it was hot (right out of the fryer). Yum! The best part was the price and very generous portion. Two meals, including tea for $25! We decided we’d found another fish place. Sadly, yesterday we went again and this time the same fish was hard and chewy! Very disappointed but will try one more time, soon, in order to have the final verdict.

  5. Great seafood! Til august 2022, they are out of oysters and cakes said the indoor signage. Great portions. Papaya salad was huge. Crabby fish sauce and spice level goes from 0-20. Crying phoenix has mild moderate and high spice levels and it’s glass noodles with garlic and spicy Thai flavors. The fried fish hush puppies and shrimp delicious!! GUMBO we got the smallest cup size and should have gotten the bowl to go. It was delicious my most favorite part. We will be back. Curious for the desserts like cake when it comes back. Also missed the oysters. Thanks y’all! Oh and if you want the Thai dipping sauce on their tables it’s also an extra charge.

Great food, service, and atmosphere. Love the patio. It’s a perfect place to sit and enjoy the day/night on a nice weather.

Both the Fried calamari and tuna tostada are the best we’ve ever had. So is the crispy gulf snapper- crispy skin with flavorful juicy meat.

I also really love the oyster from Blue Hill Bay, ME- a little salty and fresh, fully layered flavor!

I cannot say enough about this place! It was the perfect end to a day trip in Austin. We found the restaurant off Open Table; it had an insane amount of good reviews and it’s easy to see why. The atmosphere is a fun, bright coastal vibe complete with shiplap and wicker pendant lights. The service is impeccable (we like people watching and it seemed like everyone received food and drinks promptly!). The food is superb! They had a great selection of oysters and the lobster pasta was to die for. Our server, Paige, was a DOLL, and when we go back, we will ask to sit in her section. Loved loved loved the experience!!!

I wanted to come here for the outdoor atmosphere. The patio is so charming! I didn’t even look at the menu before we booked a rez, but it turned out well because the food was great! Our faves were the octopus, little gem salad and scallops. This would be a great place for a date night or special occasion. They do brunch, too, so we will definitely be back!

Beautiful end of December day in Perla’s, high 70’s outside on the deck, but sat inside due to immediate seating availability. Serving a brunch menu. I had the Ceviche with fish and shrimp, which was excellent, and my wife had the lobster roll with string fries, which was very good, but the fries were not that crisp. Service was prompt after seating but faded as we progressed. Food was served promptly.

Favorite place to get stakes and sea food in ATX. The oysters are the best, Luigi is an amazing server, highly recommend if he is available. Lobster mash potatoes are so flavorful. The Godiva dessert is baked when ordered. Wonderful place with occasional live music. Have to visit more then once to try all the food. The 15 carrot drink is a nice blend of fruity and sweet. High price however worth it, have not had anything bad to eat here.

Went to Eddie V’s to celebrate my birthday. The inside is very elegant and romantic. Service was great to go along with great tasting food. The dessert was phenomenal! If you want to take out a couple for dinner and impress them, Eddie V’s is the place. Since this location is downtown, I suggest you get valet parking

Amazing experience!! We love this restaurant! It’s family friendly!! We enjoyed Thanksgiving lunch in this establishment!! The oysters were fantastic and the server was very attentive and very nice!!! My daughters enjoyed the turkey plate and I ordered the prime New York steak. t. We liked every single part of our plates and experience. Definitely can’t wait to go back and visit!

We celebrated our anniversary here. Everything was awesome from a romantic table setting, to food recommendations for the perfect evening. We had oysters that were fresh and and delightfully tasty. Kung Pao Calamari was the surprising dish that we had to bring home for a once more. Lobster tail and scallops for the main course were tender and perfectly made, specially the pairing with citrus fruit and almonds added the nutty zingy flavor to the dish – a must try.

We’ll be back for some good wine and food again to this place!

It’s been a while since we have been here. Service was good, could have been more attentive. The bar tables are a bit too small for dinner. The wedge salad was delicious as was the bananas foster, with a unique take including banana bread and butter pecan ice cream. The steak was a little bland. In previous visits I would have rated this five stars. It felt not quite that good this time, but the atmosphere is great and we were sitting in the bar area.

Very friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere! Prices were typical of what you’d see at a seafood restaurant and wasn’t overpriced for the quality of food. Fish and shrimp were cooked perfectly and had great flavor to them, overall presentation was great, the only thing was the gumbo was dull and bland in flavor. Overall great place to go check out!

Drove from San Antonio to eat at this place. I remembered it from along time ago as having really good seafood. However on this day the food definitely did not live up to what I remembered. I ordered the stuffed shrimp and a cup of gumbo. Gumbo was OK but could have been warmer it was little to cold for me taste like it had sat all day. The stuffed shrimp was a disappointment they tasted burnt or like they had been re-cooked, shrimp was so rubbery I could barely chew them. Once again they were cold. But I didn’t complain just took them home and tossed them. The waitress was nice but was slow about bringing extras when asked if we needed anything. Never did receive the lemons…overall I don’t think I will be making that drive again anytime soon.

A small restaurant in the shape of a boat. There is seating outside on a deck. The inside seating gets full fast and the wait is long when that happens. The food is good and the prices aren’t too high for seafood prices. The tables always feel sticky though.

I ordered the alligator appetizer. For twelve dollars I got about twenty quarter sized pieces that were so over cooked I broke one of my teeth on it. I had the pick your own combo( I had shrimp and scallops) the scallops were good…the shrimp was so over cooked that they tasted more like shrimp jerky and the hush puppies were hard as a brick. I wouldn’t recommend and will not be back.

Always busy on a Friday night, I suppose, and with good reason. Lots of great seafood at reasonable prices. Excellent service and great local ambiance.

If I could give this place more stars I would. Great menu, excellent service, bourbon selection is top notch. Tuna was hands down the most amazing I’ve had. Food was excellent and atmosphere is what you’d expect although I wish they’d enforce their dress attire more. Nothing but the best when you dine here, worth every penny.

Words cannot even describe the experience that one gets at Truluck’s. I came here to celebrate an anniversary and they really made sure that everything was taking care of. As someone who experiences anxiety planning special events, I could not believe how perfect everything was. From being greeting and congratulated at every turn, to the stunning views, aura, and staff, Truluck’s came through in every way. Our booth was huge, and spacing was enough to feel like you had your privacy but had enough background noise from live music to other guests having conversation to provide some nice background noise. Our servers were knowledgeable and courteous. Food was absolutely incredible. I’ve travelled quite a bit and this was the best dining experience I ever had. If you are planning an anniversary or any special event, THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO! Will definitely be coming back.

Came here with my wife for our anniversary. Service was excellent. All our food was delicious. The meatballs were amazing in flavor and melt in your mouth. The crab cake was the best crab cake I have ever had: almost no breadcrumbs and pure crab meat. My branzino and my wife’s redfish were excellent. Even the salads were big and delicious. For desert we had the ice cream cake, it was amazing. 5/5

Fine dining at its best. Celebrated an anniversary here and from doorway to dinner table we were greeted and congratulated at every interaction.

Our waiter was very attentive and knowledgeable. Paired our wines and offered recommendation based on our cravings that day. All staff worked together to maintain decorum (things like maintaining place settings, napkin folds, and always clean tables).

The food tasted immaculate and was exceptionally prepared and served. I look forward to going back for future meals and celebrations.

Unbeatable staff ~ super friendly, nice and professional. Food was amazing and chief accommodated a special order for out little guy. Room is nice and warm, but not too noisy. Lighted menu and check was a nice touch. Stone Crab was as good as any you’d get in Florida, | personally was impressed that they gave you a size selection regarding to Stone Crab. First Class Restaurant, First Class Staff ~ well worth it.
