This is very easy to find in Cody, I checked opening hours on Google, it said it was closed but I found it open. I was given a table to myself immediately. I ordered the Granny’s Special breakfast. 2 rashers streaky bacon, hash browns, scrambled eggs & toast. 10/10 for service, 4 refills of coffee! Very reasonable $13, staff very polite and professional. I understand why this diner is so busy. Well done Granny’s Restaurant, I’ll be back.

Not a single thing about which to complain here! We’ve stayed in Cody nearly a week; this was our third sit down breakfast and easily the best experience.
Polite and attentive staff, the most prompt service one could expect, and the food was great, particularly for the very reasonable price point. One must order a cinnamon roll… OMG. It’s a meal on its own, and perfectly fluffy.
Save yourself the trouble of searching for the go-to breakfast spot in Cody.
    This is it.

Very nice and quaint little diner in Cody! The food was delicious and hot, they’re short staffed like everywhere, so patience is needed, but it’s worth the wait! Nice folks!

the restaurant was packed, but we were seated within 5 minutes, Ashley was our waitress, she was very attentive and pleasant and refilled my drink quickly, the sausage patties were delicious, the bacon was supurb, thick and delicous, I asked for crispy hasbrowns and eggs over medium, everything was cooked perfectly! This is a truly great breakfast restaurant!

    Not a Fan

This local dinner offers excellent service with below average food. We had hamburger steak which clearly was not fresh ground beef. The corn has no seasoning or flavor. The ham and bean soup tasted much more like chicken noodle and was very watery

The service was excellent but that does not make up for the poor food

The restaurant is very run down and is not well maintained including the restrooms

Y’all. SO MUCH FOOD!! The burgers here are so freaking good and they’re so good that I could only eat half because they’re so big. Also the fries are so good!! And the ranch (a little salty though)! My husband and I have been trying to find “the spot” and this has to be it. Best place in Cody by far. Also they have an under 21 indoor patio section so now you can be prepared if that’s something important to you!

The food was just absolutely amazing. My server was very friendly and I would definitely recommend this place to anybody who wants a good juicy steak and divine fried green tomatoes. Definitely coming back!

My brother and I ate here for dinner and had a great experience. Our waitress was very good and the food was delicious. I had the Mac and cheese with buffalo chicken and bleu cheese. It was some of the best Mac and cheese I’ve had. My brother’s prime rib was perfectly done and didn’t last long! We ended our meal with wonderful desserts. I had the peanut butter pie and my brother chose the cherry cobbler. They both were great ways to end our meals.

Had the Rodeo Burger and side of Onion Rings and a beer. Burger was good flavor but slightly overcooked. Onion Rings were better than the Rodeo Burger. Waitress was great and very friendly. Waited 15 mins for a table and a full hour for the food. Final bill was higher than posted menu prices and each condiment was $.75 extra. Would not likely come back here.

I had the New York Strip. My son had the Flat Iron steak. Both were perfectly cooked and delicious. Salad and fries were also outstanding. The decor is amazing too.

Their menu and signage says New Mexico Style, however being someone that was born and went to College in New Mexico, it was not what I was used to.
When I asked someone when we arrived, if the food was really new Mexico Style, her response was, “I don’t know. I’ve never been to New Mexico. But is is Tex-Mex.”
I can tell you that Tex-Mex is not New Mexico Style….

We were told all the outside tables were reserved. We sat in the hallway, see pictures. We were told they would have to clean tables to seat us elsewhere. There were two dirty tables nearby. To try to be nice we took the hallway table. We were provided with chips and salsa right away, highlight of the experience. No one came to wait on us, when someone waited on a table behind us, who came in a while after us, my husband went to the hostess stand. The hostess decided to wait on us. She said they didn’t have sangria so I ordered bud light seltzer-black cherry, and my husband ordered a house margarita on the rocks. The margarita came after a while and my husband complained it had no tequila. I hate tequila, so I smelled it. Nothing, I then sipped it, nothing. I drank the virgin margarita. It had no alcohol. Another server herd us and insisted it did. I reiterate, I don’t drink tequila. It had no alcohol. No waitress ever came. Finally the hostess came and took our order. I ordered the special two spinach enchiladas, they were the worst enchiladas I’ve ever had I ate one because I was starving. My husband got the taco salad, which I thought tasted ok, but he said it had no taste. This has to rank up there as one of the worst dining experiences ever. Oh and no one was sat in the reserved tables outside, they were still empty when we left over an hour later. Photos of hallway seating. My hair only got snagged on one lady’s purse. And we we’re almost charged for a vodka tonic because the seltzer wasn’t in the system. We had to ask for a price adjustment. Don’t waste your time. Go to taco johns, the food is at least as good and you can’t get tequila there either.

*Update on our second visit while heading to Yellowstone National Park*
I forgot how good their salsa was. Fantastic! The cheese enchiladas with thir red sauce ranks up there with the best I’ve had.

To start, this place has very good salsa! If you like a little spicy then this is it. Cheese dip was hot and served promptly. Mexican Pizza was very spicy and delicious. Bean and cheese nachos were good also. A couple of beers to wash everything down made it a enjoyable experience. Super friendly staff and waitress!!

Zapata’s is a great restaurant. The salsa and chips are a must. But all the food is very good. The staff is great.

Very disappointing experience overall. The meat in the burrito tasted and looked like it was left over from the day before and we ate at 430pm. The taco salad was not good. The corn looked and tasted like it was out of a can. We only saw our server when we ordered and when we were ready for the check. The food and service are terribly over priced for the quality and service. I have had better and cheaper Mexican food from fast food Mexican places. Do not waste your money here if you are visiting Cody! Absolutely bad all around.

Food was great… Vibe was not great.

I’ve not felt so micromanaged in a dining experience since middle school. There are laminated signs posted literally everywhere telling you what not to do!
It’s a small place, and busy; owing to the decent food and low saturation of breakfast joints in this tourist town. It is not a friendly or welcoming atmosphere.
We were told “it’s a twenty minute wait” ( which is fine), in a tone that reeked of “you should go elsewhere”. We waited outside in the beautiful weather… However, the seating outdoors is literally COVERED in laminated paper signs proclaiming the reservation of said seating for those folks with disabilities.

There were no such folks in evidence.

    Regardless, we stood.

Then we were told we could wait in the car, they’d come find us. We chose to not.

Curiously, whilst we awaited our sustinence, one staff member looked to and fro on the front porch, called twice or thrice for some hungry patrons to be, then immediately took us in because we were present and next. In other words, they may NOT come find you in your car if they don’t know and recognize you.

The signage motif continued once inside.
Literally every table has a sign ( two if located in a corner), tactfully but not quite politely telling you to hurry up, eat, and leave so they can subject the next patron to the order of life.

It’s tough to enjoy one’s meal while the sign in your periphery is constantly reminding you to GTFO.

The staff was polite, but seemed rushed as well.

This restaurant was incredibly busy on a Sunday morning, and we ended up waiting for over an hour. The staff were efficient and friendly, however, and made the best of the situation. The food is standard diner food. We liked the bleu cheese and bacon burger, which was amazing. The Denver omelet was good as well.

Their breakfast so yummy and coffee 25 cents is just oh so great. Biscuits n gravy wow just so tasty like everything else I’ve eaten there. Very friendly people here, they do get busy but its worth the wait

This is a place with pros and cons. It is a very small establishment with limited seating which makes for a long wait time for a table if it’s busy. We arrived and were put on a wait list for “25mins”. The wait was 45 minutes. The staff was very nice. The food came out within 15mins. The food was ok. I had the chicken fried steak and all I can say is, I hope they order higher quality of that product. I would have been happier with the experience if we wouldn’t have driven an hour to go to this specific location because of “the good reviews” The reason for the 4 starts instead of 3 is because the staff does a very good job for the establishment that they have to work worth and how quickly the food came out.

    Great local restaurant!
Hungry for breakfast, we decided to try this local restaurant. Glad we did. There is plenty of parking in front. There are only about 10 tables in the restaurant but they will take your name for a waiting list and come get you in your car. All the staff are wearing masks and cleaning tables and chairs in between serving customers. The place is very quaint. The staff was great. The food came out quickly and was delicious. The price was very reasonable. Their cinnamon role was excellent and huge. The bacon was delicious and the scrambled eggs and ham were wonderfull. If you are hungry, this is a great restaurant to get some food. Enjoy!

A great end to the day in Cody. I learned about the crazy cool Buffalo Bill, and we went all around the museum, the art was amazjng. We wanted a quick dinner because I was so tired, this was scrumptious. The burgers were so juicy and comparable to five guys! The zucchini fried sticks were also good, I was so scared it was gonna be onion sticks but I was pleasantly surprised when I took a bite. The Thai Salad was fine, I didn’t like the sweet on the chicken. But the raspberry vinaigrette was SO SUS AND SCRUMPTIOUS!! It was definitely not Thai but okay, I walked into the store asking how big their sandwiches were, because they were in a separate section from the burgers, and all 3 workers judged me before showing me the size of a bun. I did feel judged but it’s okay I know sometimes the imposter gets to people.

So if you want a big burger and a juicy one at that, go here!! I had the double burger with cheese and fries on the side. I didn’t have enough room for a shake after and I like to eat! My sister loves to go here for their salads, she’s weird though. But apparently they have good salads too if you want to go to a burger place for a salad!

The food is amazing, maybe the best burger in Cody. Everything else I’ve tried on their menu is top notch as well. Drive thru can be a little slow, but they’re making things fresh so it’s understandable.

But I’ve got to remove stars because in the dozens of times my family has eaten here, they’ve gotten our order 100% correct maybe twice. Sometimes it’s little things like forgetting ranch or putting all the toppings on a ketchup only burger. Other times it’s major things like forgetting an order of fries, or a substitute of onion rings, sometimes even forgetting my kid’s entire chicken basket.

So yeah I keep coming back because the food is so darn good, but check your order in the parking lot before you leave.

Chris T. Was very patient while looking at menu in Drive thru. He was professional and friendly to us. The classic burger was one of the best fast food burgers I’ve ever had. Wish we had them in VA! Thanks again for a great lunch and service!

I used to love this place. But I have been so disappointed of late.
Took my Uncle today and not only was the guy taking the order rude and dismissive, but the food was disappointing too.
The salad had a lot of wilted lettuce, my uncle’s fries looked like an entire salt shaker got dumped on them. They were so salty my two year old spit them out.
The soda station and condiment area was disgusting. Cups and lids all over the floor. Counter area was so dirty I wouldn’t even set my cup down there to get a lid.
Ladies bathroom paper towel dispenser was wide open and the paper towels were sideways and about to fall off.
This place really needs to get it together.
