  To Kmea Jones, I am so sorry you and your children are being put through this messy situation with this, agency. What type of foster care agency is this? I have never heard of them. Have you try reach out to the commissioner of ACS, to see if they can transfer your kids to a better foster care agency? My heart is with you. The workers in their sound like they don’t care about people’s children.

  NAC is such a wonderful organization. I have been there for two years now and it’s crazy to see how much progress and breakthroughs I’ve made. I come here for therapy and the services they have are excellent! The staff is nice and there’s so many things that NAC does because it’s had a huge impact. They help children in foster care, children with physical disabilities and mental disabilities such as autism. I’m proud to be a part of this organization.

  The experience I had with this place was”horrific”! I don’t know of (these so called good reviews) (“NOT”!) but this place made it very difficult to not get your child back(which is their intention in the 1st place)and the so called workers were callous and cold towards your situation and did a lot of intimidation big time!. Oh yeah they throw these big fancy events(at the Jacob Javitts Center)inviting the child and it’s foster parents by putting up a front on how great this organization is(“NOT”!) I dislike this organization for what it is and stands for(taking your child). I wish I didn’t have to put a star “at all” that’s how rotten I think this place is! Nor do they have the skills or abilities to handle a special needs child!!(that’s what NAC claims to be a specialists in!)P.S. regardless of the many different situations it’s not always the parents fault: this agency is meant to help both sides and they do neither.

  We were with Graham Wyndham as foster parents and our foster daughter was diagnosed with leukemia. We were transferred to NAC. We LOVED Graham and had tremendous support from them. NAC has been an absolute disaster. They have zero integrity. They say things and never follow through and then ask us to trust them only to undermine that trust at each subsequent opportunity. I had initially blogged about how proud I was to be with NAC given that they are the only agency in NYC dedicated to medically fragile young people. Having been with them for some time I am so so so terribly disappointed. What a disaster they have been. They are incapable of keeping a promise or even an appointment. Shameful.

  I was blessed enough to find not one but two Black female therapists that accept Empire BCBS at this single location and they are wonderful. Communication is key and they are very supportive of my family and their therapeutic goals.

  I been a foster care worker for years decided to become a foster mother and JCCA tried to ruin my life. After having kids in my home over 3 years they took them away because of one’s attitude. Please don’t go to Jcca there are plenty of other agencies that support foster parents

  The place is horrible. They don’t know what are they doing. Very bad working with the foster mothers. I was working for them for like 4 months. Never did want they was suppose to. Still my money for one child out of two kids that I had. They have no respect for us. They like to still money from us. Didn’t pay me for taxis that I pay for my kids to bring them on time to their appointments. Please don’t work for them… is a lot of better companies out there. They frustrate me that I don’t want to do it no more. I did it with love and now I feel so bad that I can’t do it no more ?????

  If I could them a zero star rating I WOULD!! As a foster child who has been in this agency since 2010, I can tell you from firsthand experience that your voice clearly doesn’t matter. That staff/ workers are don’t actually listen to what you have to say even though you are the child they’re supposed to attend to. I can go on and on but this would turn into a thesis paper.

  This place is so horrible. These people does not help these kids in need at all. Alot of kids deal with so much stress..Emoitional..Anger and this JCCA building does not put there all I to these kids. These people does not help these foster lost souls. They help the foster parents more and the foster parents are the ones ruining these kids future. I do not recommend this place and system.

  Have you lost your child? This center might have claimed your children, especially if you are a non-American seeking asylum at the USA border. The Cayuga Centre is receiving separated children from their parents. That deserves a single star for aiding ICE, DHS and border patrol, busy separating families and keeping them separated. Stop accepting children from border patrol and GIVE THE KIDS BACK TO THEIR ORIGINAL PARENTS.

  Extremely unprofessional recruiters. Received a call from Amanda, she did not identify herself, when ask where she was calling from she ask “how many places have you applied”. She called at 5:30pm looking to schedule an interview the following morning. Note: some of us apply to other positions while employed and would not called out of our jobs to attend a rushed interview, especially not at place where employee do not find the need to identify themselves. If this is a sign of how business is conducted at Cayuga then there’s no need to want to be a part of this team.

  Unprofessional and incompetent management, solely run on nepotism and favoritism. The only pros’ are the children in totality. Its unfortunate such a business is still continued to operate under such conditions. Save yourself the heartache and demoralizing environment.
