- Reviews:The only thing more dangerous than an organization that knows that it’s doing wrong is one that is doing wrong but thinks that it’s doing right, and that is CHLSS. They offer only minimal support and very few resources to families. Everything is done in a manner that let’s you know it checks a box, but rarely offers meaningful support. They choose willful ignorance if that means a child stays in a placement despite safety concerns for that child or the family. Working with them is an unfortunate reminder of how broken our foster care system is and how it continues to let down not only the children it was meant to protect, but also the families that are trying to help them. Kids deserve better, families deserve better, and they will not find it here.By A (4 months ago)We go months without hearing from our worker, our whole process was delayed multiple times due to her loosing paperwork and going completely MIA multiple times. They get 30 days to write a home study after everything is complete, but ours took 2 months. Not sure if it’s just our worker our the organization as a whole.By Antonio Gaalswyk (a year ago)Wonderful! They placed me in the early 60s with fanatics parents than in 1983 I met M.Spenser on post adoption stuff it wasnt expensive aprox $200 total for all the time included and care put in it was a steal! They Loving and do there best to make a hard sitution turn out the best! God Bless I truly am So Thankful!!By Deedee Sigvertsen (10 months ago)My husband and I adopted our daughter from here. The process was very punitive and focused on jumping through hoops. Even when we asked, they didn’t provide support to help us be a better adoptive family; all they care about is us jumping through hoops, which we did. We are going to a different agency for our next adoption that cares more about supporting our family. We know there are legal requirements to follow, but adoption should be about more than legal requirements. We are creating a family together after all!By Bradley Wolfe (a year ago)My wife and I are new to this Avenue of foster and adoption and I called to get more information before proceeding and was greeted almost immediately by a loving voice and then transferred to such a sweet woman who just made me feel so welcome and at ease on the phone as she patiently handled all of my inquiries and concerns with care and complete peace.. I had so many questions answered and not once was I rushed or made to feel foolish for not knowing how things worked with this option or that .. I felt respected and heard and loved. I highly recommend working with these deeply kind humans. They have sincere care for the children and potential foster/adoptive families. They are clear and to the point and so comforting and calm.By Preterra Nebulae Altus (5 years ago)

- Reviews:Adoption MN has been the BIGGEST blessing to me… They have been nothing short of amazing throughout my entire experience as a birth mother. I had soooo many questions and worries and emotions while I was searching for an adoptive family for my daughter… My adoption counselor, Kim, has been there for me EVERY step of the way. She has been beyond kind, compassionate, understanding, supportive and encouraging. I consider her a very close and special friend in my life. Each member of the staff at Adoption MN treated me with a great deal of respect and love. I never ONCE felt judged or insecure about mt decision to place my daughter for adoption. The entire process was very reassuring and helpful in me finding peace with my decision. I’m forever grateful for Kim, the adoptive family I found, and the organization as a whole. If anyone is considering adoption I would recommend Adoption MN to anyone and everyone.By Emily Bisek (5 months ago)It’s really hard to put into words how amazing and life-changing (for the better) this organization has been to me. As a birth mom, I knew and felt like I was being taken care of by the best staff there could be. The adoption process was flawless and any and all questions I had were always thoroughly answered by my social worker Amanda. I know what the staff has to do is probably very complicated and full of delicate situations, but they made it feel and seem so simple to me. I love the staff dearly and wish more people would be able to experience such a positive outcome with adoption! Attached is a picture of me and my son (when visiting him and the adoptive family)!By Lise Saint James (4 years ago)Our experience with Adoption MN was nothing short of incredible. The staff is deeply passionate about adoption and have a lot of experience. The agency has a fantastic onboarding program so adoptive parents know exactly what to expect while waiting to be chosen. The wait to be chosen can be really difficult but the Agency does a great job with equipping adoptive parents with the tools to pass the time.By Gerald Strauss (11 months ago)When my husband and I started our adoption journey, we looked at several different agencies but when we left the orientation session at Adoption Minnesota, I think we both knew in our hearts that this was the agency for us and the reason was simple: the staff. Through the orientation session, it became very clear to us that this was more than a job to their staff members. Each of them had their own experiences with adoption and their heart and passion for adoption was very evident. We matched in March of 2021 after nearly 4 years of waiting. The most difficult part was waiting because to be frank there is very little communication during the wait period (aside from your annual renewals). However, the agency did an excellent job of preparing us for that. I remember very vividly as we were going through the home study process being told that it was a lot of hurry up and wait and that was in fact what it was. Any time I reached out to staff though, I received a quick response. Our counselor was able to help us vet a number of situations and gave us advice on how to approach even out of state situations where the agency involvement would be less. Their staff was able to take the very complex laws surrounding adoption and explain the process clearly and in a way we could easily understand. When we did match, we felt like we knew exactly what the steps would be and the experience was exactly how they explained it would be. Ethical adoption was HUGE to us. My husband and I both have such a heart for our birth mom and it was really important to me that I didn’t feel like I was stealing someone’s child. The agency has specific counselors designated for birth parents that are different than the counselors working with the hopeful adoptive families and I think this is so important to keeping an adoption ehtical. They are very strict about adoptive families communicating with birth parent counselors too to help respect and keep that important boundary. Our birth mom had nothing but positive things to say about her experience with her counselor and even just as recently as a month ago, our birth parent counselor checked in with our birth mother- well over a year after placement! To me, this shows that agency genuinely cares about the birth parents they work with. In short, what really stands out about Adoption Minnesota is their staff. They are passionate about adoption and making sure adoption is done right for all parties involved. They care both about the adoptive families they work with as well as birth parents. If my husband and I choose to adopt a 2nd time, there is no doubt that we will return to them. We are forever thankful for their part in helping our family receive the greatest gift we could ever ask for!By Lacy Jabas (10 months ago)The women I have gotten the opportunity to work with are absolutely incredible. They have all truly cared more than almost any person I have experienced. They have been so supportive and caring for my goals, and I can never thank any of them enough. Adoption Minnesota wants the best for you and your child, always.By Kendra Olson (11 months ago)

- Reviews:As an educator working with at risk youth I found EVOLVE to be very trauma informed.By Mitchell Smith (4 months ago)Evolve did an amazing job at preparing us for our adoption journey. From applying to the program, taking education classes, home study. To being matched, placing, ICPC, finalization; they made it so smooth for us. With Evolve, you aren’t another case file. You truly do matter to the staff, and we couldn’t have imagined not working with them. Our daughter was born in June of 2020 and we finalized in December of that year. Having a baby in the middle of a pandemic, working with ICPC , navigating the courts for finalization, amended birth certificate, obtaining a SSN for her was so confusing. Evolve supported us every step of the way❤️By Jenny Cuttle (a year ago)Amazing staff worked so hard in helping us grow our family! On top of all the paperwork, knowledge, and process of adoption. Would highly recommend!By Liza Schoolmeesters (4 years ago)Severely lacking in post placement rapport and care especially for birth parents even after the rebranding from HOPE adoption.By Tammy Laxen (3 years ago)Super proud of this organization ??By Jackie Craig (3 years ago)
