2 months agoI really liked the place, but not the haircut.Asked for a tapering clean fade starting from a zero. Came back home to check the mirror closely and was dismayed at the unevenness of the cut. (Look at the length near the ears. Looks like the barber ran off amid the cut).
There could be better attention to detail.
Will try to book someone else for next time. ☹️☹️
2 months agoNot a positive experience. I went there for a haircut but the stylist sprays my hair with water and went on to cut which looked okay then but once I returned the fade, cut and everything was inconsistent. The place looks great with all the facilities.. but the stylist could probably use better training2 weeks agoI had a great experience with the stylist Sara. She is confident and knows what she is doing. She asked for my opinion and what I wanted and knew real quick what I needed. I have multiple cowlicks and she made sure to cut my hair in a way that prevented them from sticking up. The fade on the sides was also great. I recommend.a month agoHad a weird experience here after years of great Rudy’s service… Stylist didn’t wash my hair (figured he just wanted to rough chop before, which is fine, that happens). However, he decided he was done without the face framing I asked for (also trimming the front is not the same as face framing). I asked how to get my hair washed, he said it was my fault for not asking for my hair to be washed when I showed up. I’ll be going back to have someone else fix it, but I’m pretty shy and conflict averse, so I hope it goes okay, wish me luckin the last weekI previously had a bad experience at a different Rudy’s in seattle but stumbled into the one on 6th ave and that changed my impression. All the credit goes to Brandon! This is my second time getting my haircut with him and i am very satisfied!! He exactly does what you want and very patiently listens to what you ask for. I kept making changes to how i wanted my hair to look like and he happily did whatever i asked for each n every time! If at all you aren’t satisfied with your cut, it’s entirely your fault. So make sure you know what you ask for 😉 I’m definitely going to visit this place again and will always get my hair done with Brandon 🙂 And oh yeah not to forget the fun talks he always makes you ingulge in 😀Ps. If you want your hair washed, make sure you ask your barber as soonas you’re in the shop and they’ll do it for you. If you aren’t asking for it, they won’t do it for you. That’s how it is at Rudy’s 🙂

4 months agoI was hoping to get a better cut since it is more expensive than the the University Ave barber shop, but unfortunately I was pretty disappointed. The fade on the sides were good but there was a weird cut gap on my front left forehead. (The picture is mirrored) It was so bad that I felt embarrassed on my way home… I know others had great experience from this place but unfortunately I did not and I don’t think I’ll be coming back here anymore.4 months agoI came home noticed how horrible this fade was. Fade is not blended, you see lines and it was not level with the other side. Uneven fade. I guess first warning sign, the fade was done in like 10 minutes. MJ, he’s a friendly guy, horrible fade. I wouldn’t recommend the guy that sits 2nd chair to the righta month agoDo not go to the guy closest to the windows, he gives you a quick 10 min cookie-cutter haircut and doesn’t listen to what want. He messes up and will make up some excuse or will butter you up to make it seem its not a big deal.He definitely knows how to cut well, but doesn’t care to put in the time or effort and overlooks things. BUT, if you don’t care about quality and just want a quick haircut definitely go to him.
If you value quality and want a decent haircut go to the other guys who actually listen and care.
3 months agoI’ve been coming to this place regularly for 4 years straight because of how well they consistently cut my hair as well as the continuous hospitality I’ve had! The $30 haircut is totally worth it if you want to look nothing but your best. MJ and Yassin are the best and I can only dream of finding another barber that can match these guys!2 weeks agoGreat spot to get a haircut. Consistently a great cut and they all the go above and beyond. Great atmosphere. Been coming here for two years and will continue as long as I’m in Seattle

a month agoI had soooo much anxiety about getting my hair cut for the first time in 30 years. I wanted a change but had no idea what that change should look like, just a mood or vibe I was hoping for. Ash was able to give me that and so much more. We talked about some ideas and then she started, a little length at a time to ease me into it. The nerves quickly subsided, replaced by joy and excitement on how this was turning out. In the end, I left with more than I was hoping for. A great new look, information on how to keep it up and options on styling not only my hair but beard as well. A truly enjoyable experience. Ash is more than a barber or stylist, but an artist at her craft.2 weeks agoMy first time at Rudy’s was today, and Ash was my stylist. I came in with a couple of options for the direction that I wanted my hairstyle to go but needed guidance, and Ash absolutely nailed it. It was quick and efficient, with friendly service and a really nice vibe in the whole place. Worth it. For sure.5 months agoVery bad customer experience. Last Tuesday I was 1st customer; I had made appt online. I was turned away because they said they had only allotted 20 minutes for a cut and they thought my hair would take longer than 20 min. I have been going to this Rudy’s for 20 years..no more. Their attitude sucked also.a month agoI had a really bad customer service. Ethel barely spent 10 minutes for my haircut and I felt like it were the first time she held a pair of scissors. The communication was very bad too.2 months ago$20 just for using a machine trimmer for 5 minutes to line up beard. Mentions that he “doesn’t do razor” AFTER starting. Feels scammy but I didn’t want to cause a scene.
