My grandfather and dad went here all growing up. Today my Fiancé got his hair cut here. It was quick and professional with a great pleasanton experience.

If she cuts all her clients this way, she seriously should be fired and have this place shut down for clearly not even having a license to properly do it. Very lazy way of making a quick buck while charging $8 more than competing places that do a better job than this local business. Gave me a complete buzz cut when I specifically said to leave it longer (trim but not much less i, and I’m starting college classes the next day. Rather would attempt to chat with me to distract herself from not doing a proper job when I’m clearly showing zero social or romantic interest in her. Although I was being polite and respectful, I’m not satisfied at all with the standards of this barber shop. I don’t live far from here, but I would much rather go to one in Fremont that actually takes pride in taking care of his customers.

I’ve been going to Marie for a long time, and she’s always messed up my haircut. For the third time in a row ( a couple months in between) I asked for 1 inch off the top and 1/2 inch off the sides. She has always messed up one of those two quite simple instructions, and I’ve even given her a visual on how much to cut and where. Last chair on the left, do not go to ever if you value your haircut.

Okay for Value for Money with the Safeway coupon! But the hair stylists have no patience, always seem in a rush – some don’t even check basics, for example – if the sideburns are even on both sides!

Terrible customer service. Gave a 25% tip for a men’s haircut. Non Asian women had the audacity to call me cheap. Racist vibes for sure. I think the only reason they are in business is due to their low rates.

I went in looking a mess. My color had grown out, my gray hairs were unruly. It was not a good look. Lisa did an amazing job with a cute cut that flatters my face, gorgeous color with lowlights, and styled it to make me feel like a goddess. I am SO happy I found this place.

My hair stylist was Lisa. Here is my honest review. The salon has good interiors. The receptionist was nice and checked me in immediately.

Let’s talk hair cut now. I think Lisa was in a lot of rush. I was in and out for a long haircut in less than 30 min which also included a hair wash and blow dry! Seemed like a joke to me.

She did not confirm with me the kind of haircut she was going to do. Didn’t hear out what I exactly wanted. Just took her scissors and started cutting. In around 10 min I was told to shift to another chair for my blow dry.

I really felt this as waste of my money and time. The hair cut did not look good either. Have been to other Bishops in Cupertino before and have had a great experience. In fact I love Bishops and have been with them for a while. Will I come here again? No absolutely not

PLEASE DON’T GO TO THIS SALON IF YOU DON’T WANT TO BURN YOUR HAIR AND FACE.

I should have trusted all negative google reviews! Sorry to say but this hair salon has to be the worst experience ever. If I had no stars, I would rate that!! This place is horrible and very unprofessional. My hair color was a joke. The timing was ridiculous (they kept me waiting around forever). The salon lady who did my hair color did not know what she was doing. I had an appointment scheduled with her, but she gave me to a trainee who didn’t know anything either. The trainee messed up my first hair color. The lady tried to attend me in between when I started complaining about the trainee. But she continued to leave me in the middle of hair color session to attend other clients while my half head is covered with the bleach. I left this salon with a headache from the stress, frizzy and burnt hair. And still didn’t get my hair color/highlights. I spent the entire day and still didn’t get a good result. The lady asked me to come back again tomorrow. I didn’t have any options since she had already taken the entire amount for this awful hair color service. Second day: The salon lady attended me, but she messed up my hair so badly with multiple attempts of bleaching/coloring and washing. I felt like a lab rat for this salon lady who was doing different experiments on my hair. She was very inconsiderate using chemicals on my hair. She has not only made my hair dry, but I had few chemical burns on my face. Finally, I decided to just keep my original hair color in order to not to look funny at work. Worst hair color service I’ve ever had – please it’s an insult to charge what they did for the service received. She offered me a partial refund, but the original charged amount was so high that it doesn’t justify my time, frustration, frizzy hair, and chemical burns on my face with no hair color at last.

Do NOT be fooled by their overall great ratings or decor. At their price level, I would expect the work to be thorough but the long cut was literally done within five minutes! No offense to Great clips but they can do a much better job than that at a fraction of price. I’m quite disappointed by Bishops’ technique and attitude! It felt like accidentally swallowing a fly. Would definitely avoid this place.

This seemed like a good barber shop going in, but the haircut I ended up getting was not good. A skin fade isn’t supposed to be an inch long, once I was able to get a closer look at my hair at home I realized I looked like I was wearing a helmet. With zero experience cutting hair I was able to do a better job fixing my fade myself, and while not perfect it’s 90% better than what I received here.

Lousy place!!! Completely gone south. Used to be great. Asked for a trim and had my kids hair totally messed. Uneven, messy, like some kid cut it. No spray used, Had to stop her from continuing- she clearly had no clue about cutting hair. And owner is conveniently missing.

AVOID JENNY. The 2 stars are because a majority of the barbers there know what they’re doing and it’s a great price. Tony and Lynn are especially great.

However, I’ve gotten my hair cut by Jenny 3 times now. One time when I asked for a 1 up to a 3 on the sides, she only used one clipper guard the whole time. When I asked about it, I was sassed and told it’s the haircut I asked for. This most recent time there was a distinct line between the 1 and 3 sections and had to ask her to blend it better and she was clearly annoyed I asked. I’ve never seen a barber cut hair like her. I am genuinely unsure if she knows what she’s doing.

Got a haircut today. I am disappointed with the result, the price is little bit less, but the service and the quality are bad, I won’t go back again. If you only want a lower price regardless the quality, go to hairstylist school near Stoneridge mall in Pleasanton.

Pathetic. I should’ve read the reviews. Came to this place last week and the lady cut my hair crooked. I asked her to fix and she only did it partially. After shower they still looked bad. I came a few days later for them to fix it, and they were empty, but refused. Very nasty attitude and said pay again. Complete incompetent idiots. AVOID.

What to Consider When Visiting a Barbershop in Pleasanton CA

Mens Haircut in Pleasanton CA
Mens Haircut in Pleasanton CA

When going to the barbershop in the United States, there are several things to consider to ensure a positive experience and achieve the desired haircut or style.

1. Research Different Barbershops: Start by researching different barbershops in your area. Read reviews and ask for recommendations from friends or family members to find a reputable establishment that meets your needs.

2. Determine the Style or Cut: Before visiting the barbershop, have a clear idea of the style or cut you want. Bring pictures or references to show the barber to ensure they understand your desired outcome.

3. Appointment or Walk-In: Decide whether you want to make an appointment or visit the barbershop as a walk-in customer. Certain barbershops may take appointments only, while others allow both. Making an appointment can help you avoid waiting times and ensure that your preferred barber is available.

4. Consider Barbershop Etiquette: It’s important to understand and follow barbershop etiquette to ensure a smooth experience. This includes arriving on time for your appointment or being patient as a walk-in customer, respecting other customers’ personal space, and discussing any concerns or preferences openly with the barber.

5. Manage Expectations: While it’s essential to have a clear idea of the style or cut you want, it’s also important to manage your expectations. It’s the barber’s job to interpret your preferences and provide professional advice based on your hair type and face shape. Be open to their suggestions and trust their expertise.

The Ultimate Guide to Men’s Haircut Prices in the U.S

When it comes to getting a haircut, many factors influence the price you’ll pay, especially in the United States. While the average cost of a men’s haircut hovers around $29, this number can fluctuate based on various considerations like your location, the expertise of the stylist, and the complexity of the haircut you desire. This comprehensive guide aims to break down these variables and offer tips on getting a quality haircut without breaking the bank.

One of the primary factors affecting the cost of a haircut is the location. Whether you live in an urban, suburban, or rural area can significantly impact the price you’ll pay at the salon or barbershop.

Average Cost of Men’s Haircuts by Location

Location Average Cost Range
Urban areas $30 – $40
Suburban areas $25 – $35
Rural areas $20 – $25

As evident from the table, haircuts in urban areas tend to be the most expensive, with prices potentially going even higher in high-end salons in major cities. In contrast, rural areas offer the most affordable options.

If you’re searching for affordability, chain salons and barbershops are good alternatives. Students can often take advantage of discounts to further minimize costs.
