  I really don’t like leaving reviews, but I had to for this one. I honestly don’t really care to much about how my hair is, but this is the first time in my life that I have ever been upset at getting my haircut. I have gone to this place 3 times in total, the first time was fine. The other 2 times, I will say that I didn’t get at all what I paid for. I always get the same haircut everywhere I have gone, which is a medium fade with 0 on the side and 2 or 3 on top. I have never had issues with my haircut but the last 2 times they have given me a high and tight. Not even close to being faded. You would think it was the same barber, but it wasn’t. I should have complained to the barber about the cut but I hate causing a scene. I shouldn’t have given a tip but because for some reason, I still did. You would expect having a haircut without an MVP costing $28 that they would do a good job but that is not the case. This is also my opinion and I am very unhappy with the last 2 experiences I had there. I will never go there again.

  I will be fully honest with this review because I hope it can help other people decide where to get their haircut. This is the best place in the AV hands down. I’m a young trans man and I don’t pass well, but they treat me well regardless, which is not something I can say of other barber shops I’ve been to. Other places question me, make me feel “other”, and just overall seem to judge me for how I like my hair. Javier (I believe his name was) gave me exactly what I wanted enthusiastically. I paid $35 for just a basic 30 minute clippers cut and was more than happy with it! It was so professional looking and sleek and he was so nice and made small talk with me. This place is truly great, and I reccommend it to ANYONE who gets razor haircuts. Thank you!

  New York Styles is and has been my go to barbershop for 2 years now. Now I took my son there for his first haircut (4 1/2 years old). Not only did he get a perfect cut, but the whole staff encouraged him and made him smile for the entire time. It was a big deal as we never cut his hair before, but he enjoyed the whole experience and when we left he said, “I’m never growing my hair back!”.

  We took a picture of him in front of the big Puerto Rican flag image on the front of the shop and its now a cherished day our family.

  I found this place online and walked in. They were able to squeeze me in with no appointment. LS Fadez handled my cut and beard trim and I am impressed. Had me looking good! Found my new barber for sure. Very relaxed and chill environment. 100% recommendations

  I asked for a fade and a little bit off the top and it seems that they only know how to do one haircut because they just cut the sides all the way up even tho they pointed to where the fade would end. I don’t recommend unless you want to look like an off brand marine. Wish I had my money back because now i have to go shopping for hats.

  They did a great job on my husband’s and my son. He got his first ever hair cut there and the lady was so nice and patient. Buy make sure you have cash I had to run around town trying to find a ATM that didn’t charge me 5 dollars to use it.
