Man what a difference they made for the foster families in Oconee Co.! They blessed us so much that when we had to retire from foster parenting I became a volunteer at the clothing closet. The closet was a blessing to us and I wanted to pay it forward. What a joy it is to sort through all the wonderful donations. I especially enjoy watching families come in to shop for their foster children. The children get so excited to get new clothes, socks, underwear, toiletries, a coat, and shoes. Because of the vast resources the organization provides, such as clothes, car seats, baby equipment, diapers, shoes, etc, we have never had to say no to a placement due to a lack of resources. Fostering Faithfully has provided our family with MANY meals, which makes evenings run a bit smoother-especially on nights we welcome a new child or sibling group into our home. Abby and other members of the organization have reached out many times to provide love, support, and tangible resources when our family needed it the most. Not only have they supported me on my personal foster care journey, I’ve watched them step in and serve at a moments notice for multiple other foster families.
