2 months agoThe worst haircutting experience I’ve ever had. I recently went to this shop to get my hair trimmed, and the stylist there was far too harsh and hurried. My hair was trimmed incorrectly, and she also removed part of my beard without my consent. She is being so very disrespectful as I try to ask her why she did what she does. Being a foreign student, I hadn’t anticipated this. Additionally, she was giving me a serious look simply because I hadn’t given her a tip during billing, which is entirely acceptable.4 months agoAfter years of getting the cheapy haircuts – and as the cheap ones got more expensive – I decided to spend the extra couple of dollars and try them out. It’s very nice getting a REAL haircut by stylists who know what they are doing! Kat and Michelle give me the best haircuts I’ve received in over 20 years! Forgot to mention all the tv’s showing sports – need I say more?5 months agoI went in with an easy haircut in mind and also a picture to show how I would like it. The stylist told me that was easy to do and she would take care of me. She started using the clippers and pulled my hair and my head jolted and I have disc disease in my neck where any fast movement of my neck could hurt me worse. My fault was not asking for a mirror to look at the back bc I just wanted to run outta there. I went to Sports Clips in the same plaza the next day and they were extremely welcoming and fixed my hair!4 months agoKat if you see this you are one of the nicest people in the world. You saw me on the news and you took monney out of your bank to help me. You felt so bad for me that you did that for me much appreciated. You deserve alot more then you have.Thank you❤️❤️❤️

4 weeks agoProfessionalism and atmosphere is a clear indicator of the service provided. Always enjoy the friendliness, curtesy, and detail of their work. Finally took my 3 year old for his haircut. He’d always have a uncertain look in his face at other locations. Joshua’s was easily relatable with him, in return provided the calmness it took for my son to have a stress free haircut.2 months agoHello, I desire to share my experience of Joshua’s yea, I’m a Portfolio Manager & was a Professional Football Player yea. This place is a hidden treasure of Ventura County. I grew up in The Shadows apartments in T.O. So I know the area… I came in here disheveled after failing at growing a beard and basically needed an EN&T doctor to fix me up. David knew what to do, lined me up sharp, and I had 7+ different women chasing me afterward haha. I left with my swag rocking like Marshawn Lynch heading to the end zone. ??I recommend all the best to come in and get lined up at Joshua’s yea, especially if you like it spicy yea. This place is spicy, and David has it!! No hay una duda, no! ?? (David turned me from Steve Erkel, into Cool Man Newmanza.)

Josh n the gang always create a great atmosphere and despite not going to the other barbers, I see that they all are solid and will leave you looking clean!6 months agoI have hard a hard time finding a barber who really listens to what I want, works with my hair/needs, and has solid recommendations for products and how to maintain my hair. Oscar has been hands down the most involved barber I’ve ever experienced. Always willing to work with me and try new things, and is always happy to readjust to his people’s needs. Going above and beyond with service. And on top of that, if you want to have a conversation you can have one. If you don’t, there’s no pressure to make small talk. Oscar really helps aid Josh’s skills and business to be set apart from other local places. If you want a quality haircut and find your barber, this is where you need to be.4 months agoThis place is Best In The Business. Everyone is friendly and laid back, but beyond professional. I have been coming here for years, and there is a reason why they are rated so highly. Walk in or book an appointment online, they just make everything so easy. Support a local, family owned, small business and you will NOT be disappointed in the results.

2 months agoAfter 3 years of cutting my husband’s hair, I thought it was high time for him to get a professional haircut. We were in Thousand Oaks for a wedding and my husband wanted to look presentable. He definitely got more than just a presentable haircut at the HandleBar. Thanks to Jay, he got a great haircut and looked super sharp. Great atmosphere, very friendly, and my husband also got great advice about razors, shaving soaps, etc. These guys at the HandleBar know what they’re doing, for sure. Highly recommend!2 months agoGot a shave from Kenny today and could not be happier! I really enjoy a professional shave and this was the best one I have ever had. My dad got a shave and haircut as well from another barber there, wish I could remember his name. Could not have had better experience. Very nice person that walks you through your haircut to ensure it comes out how you want it to. The staff are all really good and what they do and very friendly! There are also a lot of products to purchase! Other cool perks too like a free minty hot and or cold towel to a beer or soda on them.
