a month agoMelvin has been my barber for the last half decade. This spot is clean, safe and in a great location. Parking can be a bit tough but there is always a spot somewhere. They have water and coffee for the customers which is nice. I’d recommend booking with Melvin to get a crisp cut.6 months agoEmil’s attention to detail and professionalism sets Signature Barber apart from any other shop I’ve stepped foot in. He provides great service as a skilled barber and an awesome atmosphere for a great experience. Booking an appointment is made incredibly easy through the website. His shop is one of the top in NJ.6 months agoCame in here because I couldn’t get an appointment at my regular barber for a holiday and i have not stopped coming to Signature Barbershop. Emilio is the barber who cuts me and I’ve never had a better haircut. He listens to exactly what I want and he’s a great person to talk to. Give them a try and you’ll never stop going.3 months agoModern decor, chill atmosphere. Great experience for my son, and no long wait times. a month agoThe big fat blk dude kept getting upset because i was looking or peeking at myself in the mirror during the cut. Overall he did a good job. But leave emotions behind and just work .. your work will speak for itself. He is Last Alternative to go to.The Owner once locked out the hispanic guy out one day but once we got in he did do good job the guy on the scooter hes good and doesnt give any hassle no problems .. If you do go .. go to him
5 years agoAmazing barbershop!! They are very professional. Every barber knows how to cut really good. When ever you make appointment, they are already waiting for you to get in the chair at your scheduled time. I promise you will not be disappointed with this place. I’ve been to many barbers all over the area, and hands down this place is number 1 in my books.5 years agoBeen getting a cut at Klippers for 13+ years now with Pedro. Went to him for the first time the day before my wedding and have been going there ever since….has always hooked me up and would def refer him to anyone. Shop is always packed and is a good environment for all ages. Although I’ve never had my cut done by any other barber there, their chairs are always filled which means they’re doing their thing and keeping customers satisfied. Keep up the good job guys!4 years agoHands-down the worst haircut I have ever received. Most barbers in here look like they are good barbers but stay away from the very first guy when you enter. I don’t know his name but he is from Haiti. First he spoke on the phone for 15 minutes before actually cutting my hair, then he only took 10 minutes to do what I had asked him to do And finally he tried to overcharge me for the haircut when clearly There are signs posting the price of the haircut. None of that mattered as much as the fact that my haircut was by far the worst haircut I have ever received2 years agoI’ve been to this Barbershop 3 times in the 5 years I’ve been living in Elizabeth. Each time I’ve walked in and said hello and sat down waiting to be served or acknowledged and each time I was ignored by every barber in there until it became embarrassingly clear to them that I was waiting to be called.I’m from NY, BKLYN to be specific and I’ve never been treated this way at any Barbershop I’ve even been to in my 20 years of living in BKLYN. This shop makes new customers feel like they don’t belong and this is horrible customer service.
Yet on the flipside, when my girlfriend has gone there a couple of times she was promptly served so yeah go figure.
Where I live there is a Barbershop right up the block about a 2 min walk. I’ve been there once and was promptly served. They do not speak english well there but went out of their way to communicate and make me feel welcomed. It was the expected customer service you’d expect as a customer walking into an establishment. However Klippers Barbershop is far from customer service oriented (look at the negative feedback they get for this very experience) I gave them 3 tries and they failed miserably every single time and I WILL NEVER RETURN.

a week agoWent there today and had the worst experience as an African American customer. The supposedly owner ensure me that the next available person will accommodate me only for it to turn out for him to be the next available person and he took a customer who came in 25 mins after me and accommodate him. Then on top of that another barber became available and sat with his previous customer on their cellphone and conversate back and forth about god knows what because o don’t speak Spanish.also, while the supposedly owner was accommodating the customer he took before me, he was speaking in spanish: which resulted in the other barbers to turn their stare at me. I just think this kind of behavior is very condescending and racist and unprofessional. Clearly the supposedly owner lack communication and his worker have no sympathy for their customer and it’s so sad that this was my first time here and I had to experience this first had. I will definitely BOT recommend this place to anyone. Get your customer service game up!! U guys SUCK!!4 months agoI took my nephew for a haircut. The girl that cut his hair (Emily) took 1 hr and 1/2 to cut his hair. She was talking with everyone, dancing, and changing the music. She did everything but cut his hair. Absolutely awful and unprofessional. She’d cut his hair for 3 seconds, stop and talk to her coworkers. There are a couple of guys that do a great job not her.4 months agoI came here with my cousin and I have to say the lady (Emily) did a terrible job. She took over 1 1/2 hours just to cut his hair, he doesn’t have much hair to cut so it shouldn’t have taken as long as she took. Only two men in this barber shop did amazing. Emily on the other hand would constantly stop just to sing, dance and talk to her coworkers. She kept on repeating her steps way to many times. She would change the music too much and talk and threw water at one of her coworkers as a joke but took way too long. Do not recommend!!!2 months agoFirst time going to the barber shop called they told me to come in at 11am I seen Miguel sat right in the chair…. Miguel is an artist took his time with my beard…. Definitely going back to Miguel…..5 months agoVery rude and unprofessional, steven set up me for 4pm. I got there early he then told me after about 20 minutes of sitting there to come back at 8pm. I got there early once more when time to sit in the chair, he said he wouldn’t cut my hair due to what he said was a body odor of some sort which I don’t understand because I showered and washed my hair prior to going over there. Will never go there again. Wasted my whole day when I could’ve gotten my hair cut else where..

The Ultimate Guide to Men’s Haircut Prices in the U.S
When it comes to getting a haircut, many factors influence the price you’ll pay, especially in the United States. While the average cost of a men’s haircut hovers around $29, this number can fluctuate based on various considerations like your location, the expertise of the stylist, and the complexity of the haircut you desire. This comprehensive guide aims to break down these variables and offer tips on getting a quality haircut without breaking the bank.
One of the primary factors affecting the cost of a haircut is the location. Whether you live in an urban, suburban, or rural area can significantly impact the price you’ll pay at the salon or barbershop.
Average Cost of Men’s Haircuts by Location
Location | Average Cost Range |
---|---|
Urban areas | $30 – $40 |
Suburban areas | $25 – $35 |
Rural areas | $20 – $25 |
As evident from the table, haircuts in urban areas tend to be the most expensive, with prices potentially going even higher in high-end salons in major cities. In contrast, rural areas offer the most affordable options.
If you’re searching for affordability, chain salons and barbershops are good alternatives. Students can often take advantage of discounts to further minimize costs.
