in the last weekMy 6 year old hates haircuts but Ahmed with the curly hair made it so much fun for him. He reports the following “my hair is cool and green just like I wanted for the first day of school. He was nice and got all the small hairs off me too” Nice, busy atmosphere and easy to find.6 months agoThis was the best haircut I have ever received. I may only be a young teen but this business is the definition of efficient. 5 guys cutting hair all at the same time and all haircuts look amazing. I asked if I could get a skin fade and he delivered. Definitely will be back here when I’m in the area. You’re definitely doing something wrong if you live in Syracuse and don’t get a haircut here.a week agoIf you’re trying to figure out where to get your next cut – this is the spot. Unmatched attention to detail and very fair pricing. The guys running it are super chill, and clearly their goal is to make you walk out feeling fresher than you expected. Well-deserved reputation they’ve created for themselves here.3 months agoMy mom and I were visiting my brother in Syracuse on Mother’s Day! My brother probably hasn’t cut his hair in over a year and we were determined to get him a hair cut. We found twin scissors by a google search and took a chance. It paid off they did a great job and the barbers were very nice! I was surprised how busy it was on a Sunday night! The price was really good too. I agree Twin Scissors is a hidden gem! My brother was happy too. Thanks!a month agoWorst haircut my son has ever gotten and he’s had some bad haircuts from other wannabe barbers but this one takes them all. The worst thing is I even showed him a picture and he was like yeah I can do that no problem mind u in the picture it was a little long on top with a blowout and let me tell u again he said yes I can do it. So I go sit down and start looking through my phone about 20 mins later I look over and he has done chopped all my son’s hair off. Smfh. What he should have said was I really can’t do this anyways I paid for it hopefully he takes that money and goes back to barber school cuz he didn’t learn the first go around anyways lesson learned and now I have to pay to get it fixed fml smh I’ll never go back there “NEXT”

a week agoMy son and I first came to Wescott Barber’s for a hot towel shave before my wedding last year and have been coming back ever since. The atmosphere of the place is just what you want in a barber shop. The service is always top-notch. Doug and the guys are fantastic. If you’re looking for a haircut and/or shave and want a great barber experience this is the place to go.7 months agoI’ve been going here since they opened and absolutely love this place. James is an All-star at cutting hair and I’ve seen everyone do a great job on cuts. The barbers have great banter and are hilarious, there is free beer sometimes, I never leave with a bad hair cut and I’m a black man lol. I always feel like I’m family there and I know I can trust them before a wedding, a big date, or a job interview. Highly suggested.in the last weekSerena is always a pleasure to see! My haircut is a simple style and she is usually done within 30 minutes complete with a quick shave and product. Would recommend!2 months agoWestcott Barbershop: A cut above the restWestcott Barbershop is a hidden gem that offers an exceptional grooming experience. a month agoUsed to be good but fell off. Bro wouldn’t cut my hair because I was about 10 minutes late and he had another appointment that was apparently more important than me. Favoritism like that is how you lose customers. Moving to Albany soon looking for a nice place there.a month agoWhether it’s Sal, Vinny , Nino or any of the other barbers at The Shop, you can’t go wrong. Excellent haircuts and informed sports talk. They don’t really do walkins much , I recommend the Squire app to make an appointment.4 months agoOn a Friday morning I was at the shop at 8am, the guy refused to cut my hair for 3 hours, turned me away. They must be swimming in business or they like to kick dirt in the face of walk-ins. It will be a long time before I attempt to get my haircut at The Shop 🙁4 months agoJohn saved my hair after it was poorly cut elsewhere. Comfortable atmosphere and great barbers. Highly recommend5 months agoGood people. Good shop. I have been going to Anthony since I was a boy. 19 years later, I still find myself coming back. Anthony is an artist and it shows.

Firstly, it is important to consider the location and reputation of the barbershop. Look for a place that is convenient and easily accessible for you. Check online reviews and ask for recommendations from friends or family to ensure that the barbershop has a good reputation in terms of cleanliness, customer service, and the quality of their haircuts.

This will help you convey your desires to the barber more effectively and reduce the chances of miscommunication. Consider bringing some reference photos with you to provide a visual representation of your preferred style.
Comfort is another important factor to consider. Ensure that the barbershop provides an inviting and comfortable atmosphere. Pay attention to factors such as the cleanliness of the facility, the availability of comfortable seating, and the provision of amenities such as complimentary beverages or entertainment.
Lastly, consider the expertise and experience of the barbers working at the shop. Find out if the barbers have received proper training and have the necessary skills to deliver the haircut style you desire. It is essential to trust the professional who will be handling your hair to ensure a satisfactory result.

The Ultimate Guide to Men’s Haircut Prices in the U.S
When it comes to getting a haircut, many factors influence the price you’ll pay, especially in the United States. While the average cost of a men’s haircut hovers around $29, this number can fluctuate based on various considerations like your location, the expertise of the stylist, and the complexity of the haircut you desire. This comprehensive guide aims to break down these variables and offer tips on getting a quality haircut without breaking the bank.
One of the primary factors affecting the cost of a haircut is the location. Whether you live in an urban, suburban, or rural area can significantly impact the price you’ll pay at the salon or barbershop.
Average Cost of Men’s Haircuts by Location
Location | Average Cost Range |
---|---|
Urban areas | $30 – $40 |
Suburban areas | $25 – $35 |
Rural areas | $20 – $25 |
As evident from the table, haircuts in urban areas tend to be the most expensive, with prices potentially going even higher in high-end salons in major cities. In contrast, rural areas offer the most affordable options.
If you’re searching for affordability, chain salons and barbershops are good alternatives. Students can often take advantage of discounts to further minimize costs.
