3 months agoI went in the other day after not going there for awhile because my stylist left. I let my hair grow out. The stylist who cut seem nice and to listen to me as I describe what I wanted. She went to work cutting and then with a pair of thinning scissors she didn’t touch my neck. Tonight after my shower I was brushing my in mirror and I noticed I have a hole on my right side above my ear.4 months agoI’ve been a client for years. My wife and I live in Oceanside now so the El Camino Real location is my new place. Today I went in to get the MVP service and Faith was my stylist. Everything was PERFECT. Best haircut I have ever had. Very detail oriented with the cut and the massaging wash. What more can I say? I know she is new but she is a star. I will request her every time from here on. Thank you very much.3 months agoWe always come to this location, but today we got an older lady named Judy. She was rude, rough, and messy. She kept complaining about back pain. He cut my son’s ear and left a lot of hair on his shirt and neck. And then, he put a lot of gel on his hair. She hates her job and I feel bad for the other girls because all of them are super nice, except for this lady. Don’t let this lady cut your kids’ hair.2 months agoFaith really helped me out. 7 months agoI asked for a medium skin fade. The only thing barber Mona did right was the skin. Nothing faded at all and there’s nothing medium about it. She cut as far up as she possibly could. Every other barber has given me great service and has cut my hair perfect every time. But whenever I get stuck with Mona it’s always the same situation. I don’t understand how someone who cuts hair for a living could be so consistently bad at it. And this is not an isolated incident I’ve had multiple friends also get haircuts from her and leave extremely unhappy and most of the time you could just have another barber fix it up but it’s so messed up you just have to wait for your hair to grow back. Absolutely unacceptable. I will still go in for the other barbers. But trust me stay away as far as you can from Mona.2 months agoThis place has got to be one of the worst barbershops in Oceanside very unprofessional and racist! Walked in and asked to get my beard done and the lady that help me said sure take a seat, when it was my turn the person who was going to do it said “they don’t to beards on Sundays” like what! Ok so you also don’t do hair cuts on Sundays?! It’s so ridiculous! Why would one of you guys say yes to me and the other one no? Make up your minds! Don’t recommend this place at all unless you want to be turned down by the color of your skin.8 months agoI showed up about 15 minutes prior to this barber’s posted opening times. There was another gentleman waiting there, as well. I left around 9:15am because the establishment wasn’t open or even remotely stirring. This was one of the repeated complaints in the review section, so, I guess I shouldn’t have been overly surprised. Really aggravating and disappointing experience.Side Note: this business has a 4.3 rating supposedly. A little suspect IMO. Regardless, this is not a 4.3 establishment. You don’t really know if it’s even going to open during it’s advertised times. There are too many other barbers in the area to choose from. Ditch this unprofessional shop.

I did have an 8 year hiatus in between. However, my barber Max has been there through the entire time. I’ve always come back to this place because Max is the best barber I’ve had in the world. That’s not hyperbole, as a military person, I’ve had haircuts all over the world and nobody has surpassed my expectations as much as Max.
I think everyone can identify with that fear you get when you sit in a new place and have no idea how your hair is going to end up. I’ve never had that fear in Stud Cuts, especially now that Max is one of the main trainers and ensures all barbers are up to her standards.
Aside from amazing haircuts, Stud Cuts is one of those few places that offers a hair wash after your cut (a must for my sensory issues, I can’t stand to be itchy). Additionally, they have a variety of hair products for you to style your do. You can actually hit this place up on your way out and leave ready for the night.
Now I wouldn’t lie to you, if you come here on a Sunday you’re going to wait. I plan my cuts on other days to avoid the crowds.

HIGHLY RECOMEND SEEING ALICIA THE BARBER. good location to get a cut ✂️ and afterwards many options to grub around downtown oceanside!a year agoGood low fade, their barbers are solid and don’t go higher than you ask, like I’ve often run into in the past with other barber shops, this one has great hours of operation too, open up early on Sunday and the line is short, even at peak business hours they get to your number pretty quick, because they have pretty much all the barber chairs in use! Highly recommend this place. Been going here 2 years almost every weekend and I’ve had zero complaints.
