3 months agoI scheduled to have my hair and my bridal party done for my June wedding back in November. I thought that would be plenty of time to get everything in order. Unfortunately their “Bridal Concierge” team is not very good. They were the one stressful thing about my wedding. I had to constantly reach out to get a reply (if I got one). I was never responded to when I asked in January to schedule my hair trail. I reached out in March for a timeline to make sure we would be done on time and I did not get a reply until 3 weeks before my wedding and everything was incorrect. The times were well after I said we had to be done, they added makeup which was not marked on the form, and did not have the right styles with the right person. I tried to speak with a manager and she pushed me off saying I had to deal with the bridal team even after sharing my frustration about them. I would NOT recommend using them for a wedding. It’s unfortunate since I use to like the salon but they have gone down hill with customer service. Day of the lady at the front desk was annoyed I was not paying for everyone and that she had to refund me for some of my deposit. She kept saying I could pay for someone and they pay me back even after I said no.I did love my stylist and she did a amazing job but the frustration of everything outweighs the day of service.

Very professional.5 months agoWe had Taj Salon provide our hair and makeup service for our wedding and it was a great experience! Courtny was great to work with and made the whole day easy. She was great at organizing and scheduling appointments for my crew and she was so friendly and helpful. All the stylists came onsite to where we were getting ready and did a great job! Everyone’s hair looked flawless and stayed in the whole night. I would recommend Taj Salon for anyone looking for a reliable on-site hair and makeup service.3 months agoHad a fantastic experience with Sam! Took me in a day earlier because my dummy self chose the wrong date! Amazing haircut and super clean environment. Will be going back soon!a year agoAngie R really understood the assignment!!! She went above and beyond with my situation. I innitially booked a session with a student as a model and my hair didn’t turn out as I expected, I expressed my concerns to Angie and she invited me back for a session and really took my hair to the next level I couldn’t even imagine. I have dark thick/coarse Asian hair and Angie was able to do her magic!! I had blonde bangs and needed to do something to blend it all together since my hair was growing out. She listened to my needs and the outcome was phenomenal!! Her balayage does not disappoint!! I will be going back to her again in the future! 2 weeks agoI’ve been coming here for about a year until the lady left somewhere else so I followed her. I’ve always had wonderful haircuts here and even upgraded for the massage and extras.I’ve had a great experience every visit. Love how I’m always checked in and given the text reminders. The drinks weren’t cold for awhile so I adjusted the temp inside and they have been cold ever since (hope that’s okay). Sometimes if there was a call out I’d get the business owner that would reach out and try to reschedule on their behalf. I appreciate his diligence in the matter.
2 months agoI have been going to 18:8 in Maple Grove for almost 2 years now. My stylist over this time has been Chloe F. She has an incredible talent for cutting hair. I have been doing a bald fade shorter hair cut for some time now, and she has exceeded my expectations. Her attention to detail is probably my favorite! She makes sure every single time that I am happy with my hair when I leave. Chloe is so much fun to connect with and is a joy to visit. I look forward to every haircut appointment as I like to get one every 3 weeks or so. Chloe is the best and I will continue to schedule my appointments with her!3 months agoThe first time I came in here I had a stylist whose name I forgot. She was great but didn’t really give me the haircut I wanted. After that I booked with Casey and have been coming back to the salon ever since just because of her. Not only has she given me an amazing haircut every single time, she listened to what I wanted and executed it perfectly. She makes me feel comfortable from the second she takes me back to her chair to when she walks me back up front. You can tell she cares about her job alot because her customer service is unmatched. She’s also very funny and smart and personable and it all just adds to the overall great experience. I tell everybody I know to come to 18/8 and specifically book with her. I never feel as confident as the second I leave the salon. Casey if you’re reading this; thank you very very very much, I really mean that.4 months agoI have gone in several times for a beard trim and style with Nicole C. I have to say I leave with an amazing feeling of self confidence. I would rate higher than five stars if I could. I really would also like to give the highest review of another person at the salon. Xander that works the front desk is really an amazing person as well. He is so dedicated to making the experience worth every penny. These two people are why this salon is the best of the best. Thank you both for making me feel special and confident.5 months agoI have been going here for 4+ years now with the same stylist, Casey, she is by far the best for curly hair (likely other hair) that I have ever had a haircut with, always friendly and great to catch up life with! I have had two haircuts with two other 18/8 staff members because Casey was out sick or on vacation etc. and they were both really really bad (one member from the wayzata location, although they were nice… and the other was the manager I believe for the maple grove location, also nice but my god was my haircut bad) Casey is the most valuable stylist at 18/8 by far, and would highly recommend if you have curly or wavy hair!

4 months agoI see Ms. Lee on a weekly basis and I have never been more satisfied with a Barber in my life! She is so personable and pays attention to the details. She is a true magician when is comes to cutting hair! I would recommend scheduling with her as you will leave with the best hair cut and best quality of service! Truly! Best haircut I have ever gotten! I have been coming here for a couple years and always get consistently great results. I did not know what I was missing out on before I started coming here.6 months agoI brought my two sons ages 10 and 12 to get a haircut. The barber was Mrs Lee She rushed through the appointment finishing both children in 30 minutes. The haircu”t was barely an edge up. She did not clean the clippers, as a result one of my son’s got a rash on the back of his head. She still charged $25 a pop though. I recommend never scheduling with Mrs Lee She does not give quality haircuts and she overcharges.4 years agoBest barber shop in the Twin Cities, by far! John has been in business for 25 years and his staff is amazing. After moving here 7 years ago and getting haircuts by my mom, whose been a hairstylist for 40+ years, I can’t tell you how many barbers I gambled with in the Minneapolis area and the talent doesn’t match up. Miss Le is my go to. Best fade I’ve ever had (sorry mom?). My two sons go here as well. If you’re looking for a quiet, laid back old school style barber shop, stop in and see John and his staff.
