  The people really were thoughtful an gave attention to my grandkids needs , I thoe was disturbed as much as foster dot helps so many children an families in need all the clothes an shoes that have been donated to them were not all in good shape shoes were very worn , I did not find out Sammy’s window was available until 2 wks ago , if I would have known about them the 7 big bags of nearly new clothes I gave to our thrift store , I would have taken to foster dot connect an gave for the children , I will donate next time we have clothes to give because they need newly used clothes donations and newer shoes all these kids need help so we should help foster dot connect . Thank you

  Staff was very friendly and it was apparent that they loved their work. Unfortunately, they couldn’t take the toys I had due to due to limited space, but the Staff person said they’d take the items to Blue Springs Police fir children. I was very pleased with their professional attitude and their caring attitude about the children they supported.

  I’m a retired licensed social worker from another state and I’m so saddened and appalled to see how this agency takes care of our children. So many people in leadership roles but the actual work is not getting done. A wonderful woman (age 39) that I have known all her life became licensed to be a foster parent. She is single and works full time. She got a call for a 4 year old with no background information until a few weeks after he was placed with her. She found out he had been in 6 other homes and was agressive. Yes he was extremely agressive. Poor little guy had been passed around and around as is the case with many little ones who have trauma history. She tried repeatedly to get him in therapy but the worker never did the paperwork to get it approved. She had him for about 5 months when she felt she was not meeting his needs. He definately needed a two parent home and therapy. (She did get him into a wonderful preschool.) The worker refused to move him for almost 3 more weeks. She felt so much guilt but she had zero agency support!! Communication was beyond horrible with the worker. Three months after he left her home, she recieved a letter saying therapy had been approved for him! It’s been a year since then and absolutely no phone calls for another child who needed placement. And we all know there are way too many children needing placement than there are foster homes. Later I learned that there is only one worker for her area (suburb of Kansas City MO). I looked on the website and see dozens of leadership people. What are you doing exactly? And this is the best you have to offer our children who have experienced trauma?

  I could not ask for a better case worker for my son. Rachel is intelligent, respectful, caring and truly just inspiring. With just enough spunk to go to war when it comes to fighting for my child. We are truly blessed to have her.

  Communication is very very bad. All they are worried about is doing a fast job of putting kids back with the one that hurt them. They don’t care about the kids Safety.

  Very disappointed with their therapy services for our teenager. Attended about 10 sessions. Horrible communication with the therapist. Lack of follow-up, lack of including parents on diagnosis and plan for treatment. Do not recommend.

  I love being able to support them by going to their Farmers Market on Saturday mornings. There are animals that people can feed and pet as well. The work they do here and the facilities give me a good feeling. I love being able to support them in such a simple way as the Farmer’s Market.

  I wish I could give them zero stars. Something is not right with this place. Please keep my daughter Unique and me and my family in prayer. I don’t trust them because my daughter is moving Monday! Where…I don’t know? I was told they don’t even have to talk to a parent because my daughter hasn’t been home in 30 days. Ok, and how do you know this. The place she currently is knows nothing supposedly. Be careful is all I can say. I’m a single mom, who works full time and wants the best for my children. I don’t support wrong and will tell you. However I love my children unconditionally forever. I am blessed by God with my children. Regardless. I pray this place looks out for my daughter. They sure are not starting off good to me. So many peiple want to blame the parent but the truth is parents don’t have support from Local facilities. And yes I have made bad decisions which is why I’m single today but I still deserve support. I pat taxes and I’m an upstanding citizen.. Zero stars. Something is not right.

  My husband grew up on Drumm Farm from the age of 8. We met as high school students at William Chrisman High School. His life was perfect due to his Drumm Farm background. There were 42 boys at Drumm Farm when he grew up there. George Berkemeier was superintendent and the boys respected him so much. Mr Brown looked after each boy with love. The boys had their farm chores and responsibilities but their school work always came first. They had a study hall for homework. Homework was done before anything else. I lost my loving husband of 58 years this past February from a heart attack but enjoyed a great husband and family of 3 wonderful children due to the family values my Jerry learned at Drumm Farm.
