in the last weekI have visited this urgent care facility three times and have had really positive experiences overall each time. The wait times were always reasonable and the doctors listened to me and catered to my individual needs (pregnancy+treating for both mono and bronchitis — quite a doozy!). They also call to check up on you after your appointment.3 weeks agoLast year Cindy at IU Health East in Bloomington Indiana, she screamed at my husband to wear a mask over and over. my husband is paralyzed on his entire left side and in a wheelchair from 12 strokes. He rolled out of the session in the middle of a PT session with her. The harassment was unnecessary, because it was proven that MASK do not Work!!!! The Bloomington people wouldn’t not talk to A DOG like that, but people in wheelchairs is different. They claimed IU President’s office was the main enforcement of this rule, we should protest at the president’s office. As an a retiree of IU, I worked as an administrative Secretary out of the IU office of the President, we used this jive in the past, it’s true harassment.
a month agoThere is an extremely rude nurse named Shannon. She wasted time arguing how they are full instead of providing care to someone with a broken toe. Apparently you need to wait 3 hours and a half when you arrive at 4 pm (they close at 8pm) before get seen or they tell you come back at 8 am and deny you care when website says “walk in patients are always welcome during normal operating hours”. I guess the service here is to laugh at distressed people’s faces instead of being efficient.a month agoThere’s some nice people and providers here, but unfortunately some don’t seem to be very knowledgeable which is scary. I came in for a skin condition I have and told them the diagnosis and what I’m usually given (it’s been too long since my last flare up to go to the dermatologist as I would need a referral). The NP there gave me a different prescription that, in the couple days I used it, made my skin extremely itchy. I called back and instead of helping and giving me a different prescription, they just told me I should be fine! Which I know from experience that skin flare ups don’t go away in two days! I told them this and they referred me to a dermatologist instead which will take up to 3 days to even get a call from. Upset with this place and their incompetence.a month agoGot there when they opened to get seen quickly. Friendly professional staff and excellent provider took good care of me. Best facility in the IU Health system.

a week agoI would definitely recommend anyone to come here! Jamila was my favorite she’s caring and has a great funny personality. She helped me out so much& deserves a raise!!! They were very fast. And I will come here again every time I need to go to an urgent care.3 weeks agoI brought my 4-year-old in with an infected finger. I was very thankful they agreed to see us even though we arrived just 20 minutes before closing. The NP, Dina, was absolutely fantastic with my daughter. She was kind, gentle and explained everything in an age-appropriate way, and gave me clear instructions on follow-up care. We will definitely return for any future issues requiring urgent care!a month agoI went in for a DOT physical that is required for driving commercially. I was greeted at the front desk and she was very friendly. Then during the rest of my testing each and every employee that I encountered were very nice and treated me with respect and they answered all my questions and concerns. I would highly recommend this facility.5 months agoI went in while I was in excruciating pain and discomfort with strep throat. There was a bit of a wait, understandably so, because there was only one nurse practitioner in that day. Regardless, there is no one I would have rather been in the care of than Dina Ritter. Her positive attitude and light conversation made the whole experience much better. I hate having to go to a doctor of any sort, but she made it as easy and painless as possible for me. The two medical assistants I interacted with, Peyton and Alex, were also very considerate. They thanked me for my patience and were quick and thorough. The environment seemed like a great learning opportunity for everyone, with Dina explaining what she was doing to me and the assistants. I was in and out in two hours which is much less than an ER visit would have been. Overall a great experience and I will definitely choose this place for the next time I need to go. (Hopefully not anytime soon but you get the point!) I am feeling much better now and will recommend WellNow to my friends and family. Thanks!a month agoFirst time going here, and I was very impressed. Making the online appointment was easy and I was happy to have an urgent care that used an appointment system rather than waiting forever. My nurse practitioner. Elizabeth McBride was just brilliant and did just what was needed for my Covid diagnosis I would highly recommend the Bloomington Indiana facility

3 months agoI came here for the duration of my pregnancy and loved every class. My partner came with me to them so we were able to get double the diapers and coupons! I was able to get almost everything I needed for my baby just by attending an hour of class per week. The ladies here are so kind and understanding and so generous. ❤️ Highly highly recommend.3 months agoMy wife and I had the privilege of visiting the Women’s Care Center for her pregnancy and ultrasound, and I must say, the support and advice we received from Alexander were exceptional. Alexander displayed an incredible level of thoughtfulness and support throughout our visits, making us feel at ease and reassured during this special time.I also want to extend my gratitude to the sonographer, Kelly, who conducted the ultrasound. Her patience and careful explanation, step by step, truly allowed us to understand and appreciate what was being shown on the ultrasound. It was evident that Kelly took the time to ensure we felt comfortable and informed during the process.
The Women’s Care Center is undeniably an amazing place to seek help and advice for pregnancy. The professional and compassionate care we experienced from both Alexander and Kelly made our visits truly worthwhile. We highly recommend this center to anyone in need of support or guidance during their pregnancy journey.
a month agoSuper grateful for the support I received from the Women’s Care Center, especially Alexander, for going above and beyond to make me feel at ease and confident about my options. I got a free pregnancy test and a free ultrasound all of which put my heart at ease and they even went as far as giving me three bottles of prenatals and lots of sweet gifts and resources to help me through my journey. The ultrasound was also a wonderful experience and it was really nice to have my husband and daughter with me to hear the heartbeat of the baby. I cannot recommend this place enough to anyone seeking support. It was truly a blessing for me and I hope to visit again for sure!a month agoThe women’s care center has always treated us wonderfully and helped whenever needed. We have appreciated the free CPR training and parenting classes. The entire staff is so caring and we have become close over the last five years. I would recommend the women’s care center to any woman or teen in need of help from a judgement free center.2 months agoMy husband and I have had a great experience with the Women’s Care Center in Bloomington. We started seeing them during our first trimester and they were of great support to us throughout the pregnancy and afterwards. We highly recommend the Women’s Care Center to anyone seeking support and care during pregnancy.

Planning to Visit a Family Doctor? Here’s What You Should Consider!
When visiting a family doctor in the United States, there are several things to consider to ensure a productive and beneficial experience. These considerations can help patients make the most of their visit and receive the care they need.
- Insurance Coverage: Before scheduling an appointment with a family doctor, it is important to check if they accept your insurance. Contacting your insurance provider or reviewing the doctor’s website can provide this information. This ensures that you will have coverage for the visit and any subsequent treatments or prescriptions.
- Appointment Scheduling: Many family doctors in the United States work by appointment. It is advisable to call ahead and schedule a convenient time for your visit. This allows the doctor to allocate sufficient time for your examination and reduces wait times for both you and other patients.
- Preparing for the Visit: To make the most of your visit, it can be helpful to prepare in advance. Write down any symptoms you are experiencing, medications you are taking, and any questions or concerns you have. This can help you remember all the important information during the appointment.
- Medical History: Providing a thorough medical history to your family doctor is crucial. This includes information about past illnesses, surgeries, allergies, and chronic conditions. Sharing this information allows the doctor to gain a comprehensive understanding of your health and provide appropriate care.
- Discussing Concerns: During your appointment, be sure to openly and honestly discuss any concerns or questions you have. This allows the doctor to address your specific needs and provide appropriate guidance. It is important to actively participate in the conversation and clarify any doubts.
- Follow-Up Instructions: At the end of your visit, your family doctor may provide you with instructions for follow-up appointments, tests, or treatments. It is essential to understand and follow these instructions to ensure continuity of care and overall well-being.
- Regular Check-Ups: Even if you are feeling well, it is advisable to schedule regular check-ups with your family doctor. These visits allow for preventive care, early detection of potential problems, and the establishment of a long-term relationship with your doctor.
