  I wish to start out by saying my family are frequent visitors of Lake Charles urgent care on country club Road. Because all of the employees at that facility or caring and professional that is our first choice when anyone needs non life threatening medical attention. recently I became ill, and after a couple of days suffering, I went to urgent care for medical attention. The doctor was very knowledgeable and compassionate about my illness. Due to her experience she was able to quickly diagnose me then prescribe me medication for my treatment. I was in and out of that facility in under a half an hour which is very expedient for a medical facility. I would recommend that location to any of my family and friends.

  I’ve used this urgent care for several years now with my most recent visits about 1 week ago. The staff is so professional and caring. The next day after my visit they called to check on me. A few days after that I received another call regarding my urine culture. They let me know if I needed to, to call if I needed anything. I would definitely recommend this urgent care for your non-urgent needs.

  Dr. Smith, I believe that’s her name, was wonderful, and all the staff were amazing. I showed up thirty minutes before closing and they were all so gracious. I had to have stitches and a tetanus shot before they let me leave. If you need urgent care I highly recommend you go to Lake Charles Urgent Care. I just wanted to hug everyone of them!!

  The staff are professional, friendly and even called the day after to check up on my little girl to see how she was feeling. It’s good to see that level of customer service still exists and to feel like people genuinely care. When the need arises for an urgent care, this is who I choose every time.

  Every time I go. ? They are attentive and professional. They keep my health care personal to me and it never seems like they are just doing their job. The atmosphere and spirit of this place is wonderful for a doctor’s office. Goes to show that the doctors and leadership here are outstanding. They show that they care and take time to with you as needed. When I have needed follow up, they are always right on time as they promise. Nothing but great things to say about this office. They are definitely my go to.

  I definitely will go back to this urgent care if needed! My other family members recommended that urgent care! Love the doctors bedside manner… he was attentive and kind new what I needed!   From the minute you walk in you are welcomed. The staff is so sweet here and the doctors and nurses here are Phenomenal. Also, you don’t have to wait to see someone for hours like you do at other offices! They are very prompt and make you feel comfortable. I will definitely suggest/refer my friends and family to this urgent care on Ryan Street.

  Walked in and was greeted in a very friendly way. All the staff and the provider were very caring and so helpful. They also called me the next day to check and see how I was doing. So thankful for caring and friendly people especially when I wasn’t feeling my best. Thank you all.

  The best Urgent Care. I was traveling and caught a stomach bug. They fixed me up and were so kind from the front desk, to Nurse Ashley (she did a great job with the IV) And the Dr. Was great as well!

  Hello.

  My husband just went to South Star in Westlake, La. He has never been treated so horribly by a medical person in his 61 yrs.

  He went for a sinus infection….he gets them twice a year. He cannot take oral antibiotics and let the nurse know. The nurse was rude, unprofessional, and started laughing when she left.

  So, the NP entered the room and was rude from the start. No, “Hello….how you doing ….”

  He told her his symptoms and that he would prefer a shot — steriod and antibiotic– to oral antibiotics as he cannot take oral ones.

  She said it sounded viral…but did nothing further. He asked for a shot; she said it was not their protocol.

  That’s not true..I have received shots from that location for the same symptoms.

  So instead of listening to the patient, she apparently had already made her mind up about treatment before entering the room based on the previous nurse’s attitude.

  So they wrote scripts for nose spray and zyrtec…and gave him a pack of papers for how to use nose spray, take care of himself, etc… This only added to the humility of the situation. In addition, we have to make an appointment with our regular doctor and pay another copay!!!

  He has NEVER been treated this way I’m a medical setting.

  This visit was very unprofessional to say the least.

  I would like our copay back in the amount of $35.00. We work hard for our money and this was a TOTAL WASTE of funds.

  I love that they are quick. I don’t like having to give credit card info & approve $150 charge even though my deductible was met & my bill shouldn’t have been anywhere near that amount. Any other time that I went they figured my 15% & that is what I paid.

  South Star is a five star urgent care. NP Jed Guillory is extremely knowledgeable and explained in detail my diagnosis and treatment that was easy to understand, staff is very well organized and helpful. Very well managed.

  I was SO impressed by how kind everyone was, especially at the end of the day. I went in an hour before closing, and everyone was compassionate and caring from the beginning to the end of my visit. I was even offered a drink after I had my vitals taken, which I have never experienced in 27 years of many doctor visits. I will be recommending SouthStar on Ryan to anyone and everyone. Thank you all for a wonderful experience.

  Wonderful experience. Everyone was very friendly and helpful! I was in and out in no time at all, about 20 minutes or so, and received excellent care. I will definitely be back any time I need quick and competent medical care.
