Never been a patient here before. I was checked in quickly, had a 15 minute wait for my Covid test. Personnel were all friendly, clearly explained everything as they proceeded through the test. Results were explained (negative fortunately) and we discussed other possible treatments for symptoms.

My son needed to be seen, so we walked in. They made us an appointment for an hour out, so we left and came back. Devin the MA was super welcoming, got us all checked in and did the initial work up. He was so personable and kept my kid at ease as he thoroughly explained what he needed to do. Sarah the nurse practitioner was very helpful and personable as well. All in all, we had a great experience and will always use them when we need an urgent care.

My daughter was having nausea and vomiting that just would not go away after a dental procedure. The anesthesiologist recommended we take her to urgent care, so we came here. I called, we got an appointment quickly, and everyone was super nice when we got there even though we were late. Highly recommend!

Had previously gone to Evergreen urgent care and would spend all day waiting. Nothing wrong with them, but I feel like Indigo is a best kept secret. First off, check in was effortless. The waiting room was clean and there was hardly anyone in there. I waited maybe 5 minutes to be seen. Devin was so personable, easy to talk to, listened attentively, and prepped me for my provider, Sarah. Sarah was also wonderful. Explained what I had very simply and kept my care plan simple to follow. She gave me recommendations for providers if things escalated. Otherwise, was very confident in how things will go with my after care. Overall, I was treated so well throughout the process. I rarely use urgent care, and the 2 other times I had to in my life, I had a sense that the staff was irritated that another person was jumping in the queue and frustrated with insurance.

This is my go to place if I or anyone in my family need to go. Thank you for taking care of us!

I called 4 different places, here twice. My dog lost all use of her hind end. They made an exception to see her, told me it would be a long wait, I didn’t care. I got her there and they immediately tended to me and her needs. I wasn’t fortunate to be able to bring my dog home but the care they gave her, and me in the 5 hours we were there was great. I couldn’t tell you the names of the staff I talked with and who helped me but I couldn’t have been in a better place for such an unfortunate evening. They helped her get comfortable, which she hadn’t been for hours. They gave me all the time I needed and wanted and never pushed anything. I was given the options, and they didn’t question anything. Being selfish wouldn’t of been fair. My baby was only 4.5yo. I didn’t have enough time, but here they really put provide great care. As much as I hope to never have to do emergency veterinary runs again, this would be my first choice! I thank the staff from the evening 4/26-early morning 4/27 with my whole heart! Thank you for seeing her, thank you for taking care of her and being there when I had questions! She truly felt better while we spent our last few hours together, plenty of smiles and I am so grateful to of gotten and seen those before they became a memory!

They saved my dog’s life. I think that pretty much says it all but I’ll expand just a bit. My dog, Nike was drooling and refusing to drink and would barely eat. I took her to her normal vet who thought she was sick to her stomach and prescribed antibiotics to help. Her condition worsened and I took her back to a vet at her normal practice (Banfield). Due to her refusal to drink he became fixated on the hypothesis that she had rabies. She is vaccinated and lives indoors. He hypothesized she drank water from a creek ( I said she had done so) and that an infected animal had died there. I felt that was a reach and should be at the bottom of a differential diagnosis. I left and took Nike to Blue Pearl. On the way there Banfield called and recommended that I should get a rabies vaccine and consider prophylactic euthanzation for Nike. Blue Pearl agreed with me that that was an odd and obscure conclusion. They gave Nike IV fluids which she desperately needed, noted a sore mass in her throat on a physical, and kept her overnight for a CT. They noted a mass near her larynx on the CT and suspected a abscess potentially due to a foreign object. They gave her IV antibiotics and within 24 hours she was so much better. Two weeks later she is back to herself. It was expensive but not overpriced per se – medical diagnostics are expensive. The staff was kind and compassionate. If my dog is ever very ill in the future I will absolutely return.

I had called blue pearl after my dog was struggling to deliver her third baby. They were very busy at the time but still accepted nova in for care. The front desk was very friendly made me and nova feel comfortable and the Dr. was very thorough and answered all my questions and more. I would definitely recommend this team for your emergency pet visits 🙂

TL;DR: they performed excellent care of my dog for emergency surgery and it was very expensive, but I would gladly pay it again. Get pet insurance!

The good: excellent care. The bad: the cost (not specifically this place, just the situation).

Admitted Apr 7, 2023, and discharged Apr 9, 2023, from the Kirkland location of Blue Pearl.

Around 9pm on a Friday night, my previously healthy 9-year old corgi Corbin was behaving strangely and his belly seemed enlarged and hardened. I immediately took him to the emergency vet nearest me, in Fremont. They quickly diagnosed an enlarged spleen due to a mass and it appeared that mass was bleeding inside itself (versus the cavity between his organs, aka “internal bleeding”). He would need surgery to remove his spleen (a splenectomy) but the clinic had no blood and not enough staff for the procedure so they called around. They consider Blue Pearl to be specialists and suggested them, so we drove over directly. (And yes, you have to transport your pet yourself because AFAIK there’s no animal ambulance/EMS—but, like, duh.)

When we got to Blue Pearl, the clinic had given them the heads up and sent the notes from Corbin’s visit so Blue Pearl was prepared to receive us quickly. Corbin was taken back promptly and the staff were all very professional and polite. Things felt like they moved a little slowly until I was taken back for the diagnosis chat with the vet, but that may have been the stress of the circumstances. They had the same opinion as the clinic vet: he would need a splenectomy, the only question was timing (that night, next day, or Monday). He also had at least one enlarged lymph node. The likely cause for the mass and enlarged lymph nodes was cancer (hemangiosarcoma) with metastasis, though it doesn’t normally occur in larger breed dogs (corgis are big dogs just with short legs). They advised performing an ultrasound sooner than later to aid in scheduling his surgery. Though the on-call vet was a tiny bit less warm than I would have expected when you’re breaking the news that “the odds are it is cancer” and that such a diagnosis would mean “six months, nine with surgery and chemo,” he was still professional, direct, and polite, gave me all the information I needed, and answered any questions without rushing.

After Corbin’s ultrasound the next day, the doctor called me to say her advice was that they perform surgery that day, and that they visually inspect his lymph nodes during surgery to determine if they should take a sample for biopsy or remove one then. He had his surgery that afternoon and Dr. Stevens again called to let me know it had all gone very smoothly and they did not touch his lymph nodes but would send his spleen for biopsy. He would need anywhere from 1-3 days supervised recovery at the hospital.

The following morning Dr. Stevens called to let me know Corbin was doing extremely well and could go home. They sent us home with two pain medicines and one sedative. Upon getting home that day, he began to gradually behave like his normal active self, so those sedatives have been very handy. Four days later, Dr. Reist called to check in and give us the incredible news that it was not cancer so the splenectomy was curative. Assuming he continues to do well and his incision site continues to heal, I can send a photo of his incision site to her for a virtual two week post-op check-up instead of driving to them or our local vet.

Our total from Blue Pearl was around $11,500 ($12,000 was required as an upfront deposit as the average of the projected highest and lowest costs for his surgery, stay, and other procedures) and the emergency clinic visit was $1,500. I very much wish we had pet insurance to help defray some of those costs but hindsight is 20/20. More than anything, I’m thankful we are fortunate enough to be able to afford it and that it was not cancer.

Picture of Corbin within hours of coming home, already giving us “the look” because he just wanted to play fetch. He’s doing very well.

We have been using Seattle Veterinary Specialist off and on for close to ten years now.

Two of our sweet furry family members were also put down here the light that time. One with an awful disease that we battled for months, another of old age – it was finally her time.

There were moments of eating bags of chocolate on thanksgiving that brought us in, heart disease, chemo and the most recently a tick.

I trust the individuals who work here more than I can truly say. They’re professional, thorough and more importantly compassionate for whatever your situation is.

There isn’t a better emergency vet or vet specialist around.

Health care provider did not listen to me, diagnosed me incorrectly, I nearly lost a kidney because of it, but because he lied in his charts, Evergreenhealth backed him (even though based on his reviews I’m not the first unhappy patient). He was incredibly dismissive and rude. Cost me thousands and a month of my life. Do not trust this provider.

I have been to this location a few times and you wait forever even when the waiting room is almost empty and the doctors rush you through so fast it’s hardly worth it. Also they close early telling potential patients that they are full but there is only 2 other cars and 1 of those people walks out with you. I have a copay and was used to paying up front, now they send a bill weeks later that arrives right before it’s due. No thanks.

Arrived at 7:30PM and the receptionist said they were closed already. She said they close at 7:30PM even though the business hours say 8PM. She said it is so they can take care of the patients that they already have checked in. The parking lot was empty except for 1 car. I have also come on other days when they are actually busy with a full waiting room and was told it is a 3 hour or more wait. I’m very disappointed at how hard it is to get care here. The receptionist referred me to a clinic that was also closed. Please change the posted hours for this business to say 7:30PM for closing time.

Once you get past the front desk staff, they’re pretty speedy. However, the check-in process is much longer than it should be, the front desk staff tend to be slow and they have the front desk staff tasked with taking patients to the exam rooms. If there is a steady flow of people needing to be checked in, it distracts the front desk staff from taking patients back and the waiting room fills up.

Wow the PA here was not very nice. If I come into defense mode it’s because your approach is very confrontational and inappropriate. Lack of compassion. The reality of healthcare… there’s nothing pretty about it.
