The technician who took the images was fantastic, I would give her 10 stars.

But the 3 front desk/receptionist women were awful!! They were more interested in chatting with each other and looking at pictures on a cell phone than assisting customers. That was very unprofessional behavior on their part. If the front desk/receptionist women were professional and actually did their job, then I definitely would have given this location 5 stars.

** I am editing my review, because I received a call from Simon Med Buckeye, and I am confident that the issue I experienced will be addressed. I appreciate the very quick follow up on their part. So due to this I am changing my review from 2 stars to 4 stars. But, I am still subtracting 1 star due to the front staff.

The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is the hours of operation. Most people work and they stop taking patients before 5pm. I understand why, but I feel it should be communicated better. They don’t accept new patients after 4:30. They should change the hours for people to see, but still stay open until 5. Or let patients come until 5 and know that they might be staying late. I arrived at 4:45 and was told I couldn’t be seen because the x-ray tech left already. I had to come back the next day. As I was waiting for my x-ray CD the next day a patient walked in at 4:40 and they told her the same thing, even though the tech was still there and no one was waiting for x-rays. Mine were already taken and no one was waiting in the back or out front. But she had to leave and come back another day. Seeing this happen to someone else made me think the hours of operation need to change. Just know if you go to be there 30 minutes before closing since they don’t communicate that anywhere until you get there after 4:30.

After unsuccessfully attempting to schedule an appointment over the phone (because they did not know the answers to my questions), I went to the office.

The front desk workers were nice, but told me they did not do this procedure and scheduled my wife for an ultrasound in Goodyear.

The day before the appointment in Goodyear, they called and said they needed to reschedule it for the Biltmore office (45 minutes away).

The next day we arrive at the Biltmore office and are told they do not do the needed scan.

After being there almost an hour and calling around to multiple locations, they finally tell me they can do it the next day in Sun City West.

The next day we arrive in Sun City West. After waiting in line 15 minutes, we check in and are told a different total than originally quoted. When I questioned this she said she would have to have the billing office run it again, but couldn’t check us in until they did. 20 minutes late we are called back up and told that the amount was correct and they don’t know how we’re originally quoted a different amount. So we agree and pay the fee. (All the while my very pregnant wife is sitting there with a full bladder because she’s told she needs to drink 20+ oz of water before the appointment)

When we get called back the ultrasound tech is immediately short and snippy telling us we need to hurry because we are late. When I explained to her what happened she didn’t seem to care. At this point my wife is trying really hard not to cry and the tech just looks at her and says, “What’s wrong!” and rolls her eyes telling us how tight her schedule is.

The rest of the appointment (an ultrasound which is supposed to be fun and exciting) was spent in total silence. It was miserable.

Upon arrival there was nobody at the front desk and a room full of people trying to figure out what was going on. I eventually walked to the back where they were having pastries and conversations. I said do you realize you’ve got a waiting room full of people that have no clue of what’s going on? They. Said oh sorry we were having a meeting. Finally someone came to the front desk and it was great total chaos. The CT Tech was great and did a very good job and unfortunately. The front office needs a lot of help and better management.

Staff rude. Speak with an attitude. I was scheduled for one exam, they made me reschedule for later that same afternoon due to me needing a different exam according to them. I checked back in the second time and they performed the regular exam. Waste of my time! Adriana was the worst. Didn’t like her attitude.

Banner whenever they want to work care. Turned away because they can’t work anywhere near closing. Don’t go here if your health is important to you or the health of your loved ones. 05/29/2023 just to update after emailing the below, they basically were unwilling to help stating they need all of my wife’s information. Why would they need that if she wasn’t even seen? This is obviously a response to attempt to look reactive and responsive. Do better banner, and families please choose better. We deserve a better option in this location.

I hope I never have to go here again .. the receptionist was very rude and acted like she was doing me and the other patients a favor for doing her job . I was told over and over again that I had 4 in front of me after I watched 8 go in before me for sports physicals as I sat in pain along with a another lady that also kept asking why we haven’t been next like we were told . They had one provider on duty .. she was great .. but the receptionist was very unprofessional and treated us all like numbers on a computer .. also said she couldn’t let me know if my insurance was accepted until the end of my visit because the “system “ wouldn’t allow her too.. that needs attention from Banner . Like I said I hope I never have to visit there again . I will drive further in pain than have to sit and watch well people walk in because the had a reservation which they also had to wait for after their reservation time . Needless to say this place needs training on how to treat patients and the computer “system “ needs to be updated to give patients info on whether or not their insurance is accepted or if we have to pay out of pocket. I hope other patients don’t have the same experience as I did.

Unfortunately, we waited almost an hour and a half AFTER our appointment time to be seen. The patients waiting were getting upset and complaining and although we were next on the monitor to be seen, those that complained were taken ahead of us. When I asked how the names on the monitor worked the confused receptionist gave me a run around answer and couldn’t quite explain the reason they used it. The walk in patients were frustrated that the patients with online appointments had priority. The front desk staff should have been able to communicate this better to them. Perhaps when walk ins come in, they should schedule them a time slot to come back instead of just make them wait hours. The nurse and doctor were very apologetic about the wait time once we got back but could do little besides apologize, understandably so. The doctor and nurse had amazing bedside manner and made our visit pleasant.

Everything was great, except the front desk. I mean I completely understand that at times being over worked is possible. However when you are asking how can you help when you haven’t not reached the desk , with voice raised how can we help you ( like you do when you walk into Burger King or something ) is a bit unprofessional. Especially because health concerns can be very private!

People were nice but I waited an hour and a half after my appointed time to be told that they couldn’t help me because they don’t have a technician that does gi scans there. The receptionist should have advised me when I checked in that they wouldn’t have anyone to perform the scans needed based on the reasons I was there so I wouldn’t have wasted my time.

I came to this location based on the great reviews. However, this was not my experience. I made an appointment for 140 and arrived at 136. I was brought back about 300 and am still currently waiting. No one has come to update when the attending would be here, nothing. What was the point in making an appointment? When I checked in at 136, there were 4 people ahead of me, which I understand. It is nearly 4pm and I’m still waiting. This is unacceptable and would not recommend this location.

I didn’t make an appointment so there was a wait. It wasn’t bad, though. It was on Labor Day weekend. They had to give me a referral for imaging for the following Tuesday at a different facility. The PAC was great. Very helpful and caring.

At 1st, my actual experience was great. They got me in right away! They were very nice too. It’s afterward I had the problems!! They sent me for a CT scan the next day. I had to fast and drink lots of water. I got to Banner imaging, and the paperwork hasn’t been sent yet. The girls at imaging were great! They made calls and were put on hold for over 30 minutes. Apparently, the urgent care clinic had a call center, not an actual line to them! They never got back in touch with imaging, and I was sent home. Made ANOTHER appointment and had to fast and everything again. Then o get there, they sent the paperwork but Dr didn’t take the time to sign it! Another 40 minutes waiting while the heat girls at imaging tried to figure things out with your urgent care!! Finally, I was taken back. The urgent care Dr says they would call me with my results. I waited all day the next day. Nothing…. so I called them. Waited 35 minutes to speak to someone at their call center. They finally answered and sent me to the front desk at urgent care. The Dr didn’t even speak to me. Said they are going nothing and just go to my PCP. Well, I find that funny…. because I sent my report to 3 friends of mine who are nurses. They ALL said that they was something on the report and that I needed to follow up with GI Dr. That what I have will only continue to keep me in pain and get worse!! Thank you so much for putting me first as a patient!! I will NEVER suggest or come back to this location EVER again!!! I’m so upset!!

Daniella was amazing. The Pa( I forgot her name sorry) she was very thorough and explained very well the options and the solutions. I was skeptical in the beginning. A corporate environment is not my cup of tea. I am old school and I have known my physicians back home for years. Well I was very pleased. Period.

The PAC, Tamera, came in very annoyed and rushed me out after telling me she could not do any imaging for me and my urine test was fine. Didn’t seem to listen to any of my symptoms and continued to say she could not do anything for me as it was the weekend but she could schedule something on a weekday. Mentioned I should have waited to go to my primary doctor as urgent cares aren’t set up like a normal office and I have already been working with my primary care doctor for my abdominal pain.. I would have waited, but unfortunately I had a very intense paid this morning, with nausea, and weakness and was extremely worried. When I asked questions about recommendations for my pain she repeated herself and I could tell there was no empathy or sympathy as a doctor should have. I think she was having a bad morning, but there is no excuse for that treatment. I did mention I feel she was being rude and she ignored me- told me the way out. Wasn’t helped and still paid $200 out of pocket with no resolution. The front desk associate and the nurse before helpful and caring. Just a frustrating experience overall.
