3 months agoHaving two young girls, the trips to the doctors are pretty regular. It’s been a life saver for us because they’re open on weekends! There’s been times when we don’t even make an appointment and they get us in right away without too long of a wait. The doctors here are all very thorough and so helpful. Also, the front desk and nurses are all fantastic too. I would highly recommend.4 months agoGreat experience taking my daughter here when she was having respiratory issues. They were able to see her quickly as a walk in and treat her immediately. Really appreciated all the attention from the staff and multiple conversions with the nurse and doctor. Very friendly, thorough, and helpful. Would highly recommend After Hours and will definitely go back with future issues.7 months agoHave taken my two young boys to this clinic in recent months and have had wonderful experiences. The staff are friendly, the service prompt and thorough and the hours until 10pm are so helpful (our usual urgent care center went from closing at 8pm and allowing walk-ins to now 7pm by appt only and good luck trying to get an appt). I only wish this place took parents, too! 😉 PS: the photo is of a plant in their lobby that put a smile on my sick kiddo’s face.3 months agoGreat service! We did a walk-in with my toddler and we got helped quickly. Everyone was very nice and professional. My little one can be scared of doctors but she felt so comfortable with all the team, and loved her little price at the end!a month agoI have been going to After Hour Pediatrics for a couple of years now, and I can only say that their staff and the doctors are wonderful. My son has been getting treated with compassion and empathy. I am really thankful for their professional and kind service. Thank you!

a month agoPA and staff were professional and quick. No issues with the care provided. However, Carbon charged the entire bill to my credit card without billing my insurance company first. I received an email on a Friday evening two weeks after the visit indicating they did not have correct insurance information. I updated my information in the app, yet was charged the entire amount Monday morning. The phone number for the individual who sent the email was always busy and never answered, nor did she respond to email. The main Carbon customer service number disconnects after about 6 minutes of waiting on hold for a customer service rep. If you’re a cash-paying customer you may be fine, but do not give them a credit card if you intend for your insurance to cover it.2 months agoI made an appointment online, first appointment of the day. Lovely staff. All the ladies were extremely nice, accommodating, respectful, fast. Everything is so clean inside, bathroom as well. Love the little plants they have all over. Nice location, tons of parking. Everything was perfect. Thank you!a week agoTerrible Experience with Carbon Health – Beware of Billing Issues!I had an absolutely horrendous experience with Carbon Health that I feel compelled to share. On November 23, 2022, I visited Carbon Health for a simple flu shot, a routine procedure that should have been covered by my insurance. However, what followed was a nightmarish journey into their abyss of incompetence and shady billing practices.
To start with, Carbon Health inexplicably billed me for an “urgent care visit,” which had absolutely no correlation to my flu shot appointment. I promptly contacted their customer service, where they admitted their mistake, blaming it on their “internal coding issues.” They assured me that they would re-bill my insurance and rectify the error.
Fast forward to August 2023, and I received a sudden notice from Carbon Health, threatening to charge my card on file a whopping $185 for an urgent care visit I never had. In disbelief, I called their customer service once more, hoping for a resolution. However, this time, the representative had the audacity to inform me that “the person who re-coded my bill is not in the office” and that I would have to wait for a callback within the next 5-7 days.
I couldn’t help but chuckle at the absurdity of the situation, as their lack of accountability and professionalism reached new lows. They assured me that they wouldn’t charge my card during this waiting period. But lo and behold, they went ahead and charged it anyway after the promised seven days, leaving me even more infuriated and frustrated. It’s clear that Carbon Health has zero regard for their patients’ well-being or their financial security.
To make matters worse, a quick search on the Better Business Bureau revealed that I’m not alone in this ordeal. Many others have fallen victim to Carbon Health’s deceptive billing practices and subpar customer service.
Their shady billing practices, lack of accountability, and inability to rectify their own mistakes have left me with no choice but to report them to the Better Business Bureau, my insurance company, and the State of California for their fraudulent activities.
3 weeks agoVery limited service. They have to send out labs to outside vendors and do not get results back for three days. Attempted to get into a late afternoon appointment for an emergency and they refused to accommodate. Very rude and combative. Had to call an ambulance and they wanted me to “wait outside” even though I was having chest pain. If you have a sinus infection they will not give you antibiotics until they get results from labs which opens the door to severe infections. Very uncaring urgent care.a week agoQuick and easy to get appointments and reschedule with 24 hour notice. Very user-friendly app. Short wait times and friendly providers who do their best to make you comfortable.

2 weeks agoExcellent care! The nurses were caring and compassionate. Dr Wolgast was wonderful-took time to listen to my concerns, very understanding, explained her decision process which I understood and agreed with, ordered a couple of tests, made some specific recommendations for me to follow up with my other doctors and was very reassuring. I left feeling heard and relieved.a month agoFrom the easy parking lot to the reception desk it was so inviting. Seemed very sincere about helping me. Didn’t have to wait very long, taken to an exam room. Very friendly LVN took vitals and asked all the questions for the doctor. Didn’t wait long and a female Doctor came in. She was very friendly put me through some tests, ordered an X-ray. She gave me option to stay for results or she would call me. She made sure I knew my way out and when I got home she called for results!! I was so impressed with the entire process! Dr. J. Gore A+.3 months agoThis was by far the best Urgent Care experience ever! I called in the morning to see if I could get in, and yup, got a 1:30pm appointment, no problem! I arrived about 15 minutes before my appointment, and I already did the online check-in, so easy enough. I sat down for about 10 minutes, they called my name, took my vitals, etc. Doctor consult was top notch, got some x-rays. This will be my go-to place shall I ever require urgent care again! Staff was so nice and pleasant, should out to them being in good spirits!2 months agoFirstly, thank God for this urgent care center. Secondly, the staff who answered the phone are most helpful and very good in explaining how things work. I was having a worrisome issue and the appointment with the regular doctor for it was 15 days away, so I called the urgent care center and was given a same day appointment. I was seemed by a very competent and caring doctor. She actually gave me a follow up appointment with her to make sure my issues are not worsening. She actually called me at home to informed me of some additional information she learned from reading my medical record after I left. It’s safe to say my care was as best as they come.a month agoI went to urgent care in the afternoon. Everyone was kind and very professional. I got lost in the beginning and asked for help and a nice gentleman ( didn’t get his name but he works in radiology) walked me to the urgent care clinic. Everyone from the Medical Assistant to the doctor were very nice and caring. Thanks

Planning to Visit a Family Doctor? Here’s What You Should Consider!

When visiting a family doctor in the United States, there are several important things to consider. These factors can help ensure a successful and productive doctor’s appointment, as well as ensure that you receive the care you need. Here are some key things to keep in mind:
- Health Insurance: It is essential to have health insurance coverage in the United States. Check with your insurance provider to confirm that the family doctor you plan to visit is in-network, as this can reduce out-of-pocket costs.
- Appointment Scheduling: Most family doctors in the United States require appointments, so it is important to call ahead and schedule a visit. This can help avoid long waiting times and ensure that the doctor is available to attend to your needs.
- Medical History: It is helpful to bring any relevant medical records or documentation to your appointment. This includes past medical history, lab results, and any prescription medications that you are currently taking.
- Symptom Description: To help your family doctor accurately diagnose and treat your symptoms, it is important to provide a detailed description of your condition. Be prepared to discuss the duration, severity, and any triggering factors related to your symptoms.
- Questions and Concerns: Make a list of any questions or concerns you may have ahead of time. This will help ensure that you address all of your healthcare needs during the appointment.
- Medication Review: It is important to inform your family doctor about any medications you are currently taking, including over-the-counter drugs, supplements, and herbal remedies. This can help prevent potential drug interactions or adverse reactions.
- Follow-up and Referral: If further tests or specialist consultation is required, be sure to obtain clear instructions from your family doctor regarding follow-up appointments or referrals. It is crucial to follow through with any recommended treatments or visits to ensure continuity of care.
