in the last weekThe urgent care center claims to be open until 8. However, anytime we have tried to come after 630/7, they either tell us they are booked for the night even with no cars in the parking lot, or they can’t handle whatever it is that we are in there for. I went to the ER last night with a hand laceration that they glued, but the glue was starting to peel off and the wound was opening again. They say they do stitches, so I went to the urgent care and they said I had to go back to where I got the glue done…meaning another $100 copay. I called the ER and they agreed that it was ridiculous for them to turn me away and that they could have definitely handled it.2 weeks agoThis is the worst place ever I’m never coming here again. Urgent care place at Norwalk is way better. I wanted to take care of three different things with one visit and I couldn’t do that and each of my visits is $50 copay because they said that they can’t do multiple visits for different things because of billing I do this all the time at Norwalk location and nothing ever happens.3 months agoI arrived on Wednesday for a drug test, and after waiting for 45 minutes, I was rudely informed that I should return on Thursday because someone needed to pick up their child. When I return on Thursday, I’m informed that no one is there for the drug testing today and someone will be in again Friday. There has been a scheduling conflict every time I’ve gone for drug tests—this is the third time.2 months agoThe reason I am leaving two stars instead of zero is entirely due to the high quality of the receptionists and the triage nurses. The doctor (Rebecca Proca) who saw me was overheard saying “I can’t believe I have to see another one right now”. I had swelling in my ankle and she proceeded to look at it for 15 seconds, decided it wasn’t swollen without comparing it to the other ankle, prescribed an antibiotic, and left brusquely. She then saw my wife, who had a rash spreading on her skin. She outright refused to hear my wife’s previous experience with it and what helped alleviate it, and when my wife asked for her to prescribe the antibiotic that she had success with, the doctor said “I feel like you are bullying me”. It was an embarrassment for AFC and they should be ashamed to employ someone so immature and unprofessional. Go somewhere else.4 months agoArrived with no appointment at 7:30pm and was seen and had prescription called and in hand by 8:30pm. Best quality care I have received since Active Military. Staff and Resident Doctor were awesome.

2 months agoExcellent facility for urgent care! I was able to get in for stitches 30 minutes before they were closing for the night. The PA was excellent, friendly, professional and did a perfect job cleaning the laceration and putting in sutures. I did not feel rushed at all but was in and out in no time. The staff was friendly and efficient.a month agoDO NOT GO!! They don’t have doctors there – you show up for fake appointments then have you sit in a room with an iPad waiting for an hour. No estimates on when you’ll be seen. Literally a scam.This is actually crazy. Was a previous patient and they were great. Now just a sham of a location.

in the last weekYou meet with a doctor on an IPad…. I was told I could walk in and there was availability, but I instead waiting an hour and a half to speak to a doctor virtually. I have no intention of going back to this facility. The front desk had no urgency. When I walked in, they did not even ask the reason for my appointment.a month agoHad a terrible urgent care visit. Scheduled for 1:45, but got into a room at 2:35. Front desk staff was unhelpful, emotionless, and didn’t warn about the wait. They sent a nurse practitioner to see me, not a doctor. Had to call back for my results, honestly I don’t know if I trust the accuracy. Disappointing experience, very confused as to why the overall rating is so high when there are so many people who have had similar experiences.a month agoP.A. Laura London was very helpful and went above and beyond the call of duty. She drove to Home Depot to get wire cutters to get a fish hook out of my hand. Great service, in and out in an hour.

in the last weekThis medical center is one of the most well run, pleasant centers I have ever been to. Everyone is helpful, patient and knowledgeable. I went there for one thing and ended up having to get several more tests and the staff helped me through the process.4 weeks agoWas there for a simple physical exam. It took nearly 4 hours to complete. Appears inadequate amount of staff. Nurses were great. Then had to sit in exam room for nearly 2 hours before a doctor came in to finish the exam.2 months agoLong wait, told us to leave for lunch and come back. Our appointment was at 11, didn’t get helped until 2 left at 2:45. The staff was really friendly though for being short staffed because of July 4th.3 weeks agoWe’ve used this location plenty of times over the years for different family members who require work specific physicals and despite the wait find this office to be helpful in many ways.The staff overall are pleasant, and the best feature is nurse Alice-R. She is so personable and good natured that even if you were getting frustrated by the delays once you’re interacting with her all emotions mellow out. Alice is very knowledgeable and coupled with the doctor both will share healthy practices to help balance certain issues. Ex. Several good explanations were provided on the impact the higher bmi was having on their bp and what diet considerations should be had to deter the dependency of medication. My husband tends to have anxiety prior to doctor visits and hence why I stress how helpful Alice has been regarding putting things into perspective and keeping him calm. We really appreciate her caring bedside manner; very attentive, non-judgmental, friendly and genuinely interested in helping you achieve your desired outcome. Again, please note the place can fill up fast & the waiting time can surpass 40 mins, but it’s not a loud or hectic/run down office and they operate organized at best. Easy access of the i-95 and plenty of parking.
3 months agoI would give -100 stars if that was an option but 1 star was the lowest choice available. I had an appointment for an injection. An appointment that should have taken no more than 15 mins total. Needless to say I had to wait nearly 4 hours. I waited at least 2 hours after my appointment time in the main waiting room then a good 2-3 more in the exam room. Worst experience ever would avoid at all costs!
