3 months agoHigh Five was a great experience. Easy booking, good availability, very fair prices and easy payment. It’s clear they are elevating the barber experience in Chattanooga by focusing on the things that matter most; convenience and quality.I’ve been going to another great barber in Chattanooga for a couple years but over the past year it’s become very hard to get an appointment and the prices have climbed at a steep rate. That, combined with the expectation for gratuity in this business means it can cost $800 or more annually for a men’s cut. I appreciated the “everything is included in the price” approach that High Five takes, reducing decision fatigue and delivering a more transparent and simple transaction. A sensible approach when the service provider is also setting the price!
I’m very happy to have another great barber option to consider when it’s time for a cut!
3 weeks agoFrankie is super friendly, easy to talk to, and gives a great, clean cut! I’m very picky about how my hair looks, and she nails it every time. Cool atmosphere and great location on Main Street too.2 months agoI’ve gotten my hair cut here a few times now and I know I’ve found the only place I’ll go to in Chattanooga. Frankie is super nice and she does a great job. Very accommodating and the best place to go that’s LGBTQ+ friendly 🙂4 months agoFrankie is the best! Listens thoughtfully to what you’re looking to achieve with your haircut as well as how you want to feel in your new hair. Keeps longevity in mind as well, which is huge. 3 months agoFirst time to got haircut here, nice place to come. Especially Dani (barber), she is excellent service i got. She suggested for hair treatments shampoo for me too. It seemed perfect since I was on lunch break. After waiting almost the entire 31 minutes, I checked the board & I only had 4 minutes left. But then suddenly, half the employees went on lunch break & my 4 minute wait went back up to 21 minutes. I forgave them at 1st. But then, my name stayed at 21 minutes for quite awhile. When another guy asked why his time jumped up, he was told that it was busy, & it was. But the real reason the wait time increased suddenly, is because lunch is more important than taking care of customers. So, after waiting almost an hour, I realized I’d be late back to work, without a haircut or lunch. I was gone for over an hour & still need a haircut. My coworkers probably think I was doing something shady. Luckily, the employees at Sport Clips don’t have to worry about missing out on lunch. I think I’ll apply for a job. I certainly won’t be going there for a haircut. I don’t mind paying 30 bucks for a haircut, but only if the service is worth it. Today, the “service” wasn’t even worth the drive. So I’ll be stopping somewhere else on my way home. If that doesn’t pan out, I’m just going to shave it off & move on with my life.Edit: not sure how to respond to Sport Clips’ reply so I’m just adding on. I’ve worked in the service industry for decades. You take breaks when it isn’t busy. If your lunch schedule is too rigid to deal with your business, you’re doing it wrong. Businesses that are generally busiest during standard lunch hours, don’t take breaks during that time. Restaurants & hair salons figured this out decades ago. They don’t follow rigid schedules for breaks that conflict with peak business hours. At least not those who are basically just doing walk-ins. The fact that the owner responds to every review is very commendable. It shows that she cares. Unfortunately, it also shows a pattern of the same recurring issues. It’s time to try a new solution.
3 months agoDefinitely download their app so that you can easily check in, check upcoming wait times and your position in the wait queue. Obviously as the name implies this is a very sports centric atmosphere with some sort of sporting event playing on the television. Their wait times were relatively close which can be a difficult thing to nail down. The staff was very friendly and will listen to what you want and in my case she clarified what I wanted since what I asked for has been misunderstood before she said. Definitely recommend a visit4 months agoI’m sure other ladies do a better job but I do not recommend Erica. I waited 30 minutes past my appointment, then she went in the back, and the board updated to another 30m wait. Walked out.

If you go(you’re missing out if you don’t), ask for Wallace. Fast and his barber skills are nice.3 months agoWe were in Chattanooga and needed my husband’s haircut so we found Barber Kings the Original. We walked right in and got seated immediately. Everyone greeted us and it’s a nice shop. My husband has curly hair and this young gentleman with a big smile gave my husband the best haircut I believe he’s ever had. He is a maestro of hair! If we lived there we would be a regular. Thank you!2 weeks agoI just left Barber Kings and had one of the most amazing customer experiences. My son was being bullied because of a bad haircut from another source and I took him to Barber Kings to correct the issue and not only did the Barber (first seat when you walk in) treated him with care and thoughtfulness but coached us through the process and created a haircut that made my kid smile and increased his confidence. All of the barbers are super friendly, kind and even funny at times and I would recommend either of them. Chris is the barber that has cut my Little guy’s hair and i can say I appreciate how he is with him and how works with him throughout the haircut process.
