3 weeks agoThis shop was absolutely amazing, all the staff was super friendly and they did an amazing job on my hair! The environment was super cool, lots of music stuff on the wall AND very LGBT+ friendly. They didn’t assume anything about me and used gender neutral terms and it was all around a great experience.a month agoI use two locations, Mills Ave and South Orange Ave. Both have excellent hours, open until 9pm on weekdays.Both have excellent customer service and they coordinate with each other.
Both have talented barbers/stylists who have specific abilities.
Truly wish more businesses were run this well!
3 months agoMelinda (sorry if I misspelled her name) was fantastic with my son! It’s been about 6 months since his last haircut and he was very nervous! She was calm with him and it was such a success. He looks great and he wants to go back for another hair cut.2 months agoBarbershop has a great vibe, friendly staff was able to get me in reasonably quickly in the am. Nichole hooked me up with the best haircut and shave I’ve had in some time. Visiting out of town but given the opportunity I’ll definitely return.a year agoI walked in, no appointment. The front desk girl got me a chair with Matt E. Beard Trim Viking style. A precision trim and clean up of my gnarly beard. Beard oil treatment as well. Friendly and courteous staff. 6 months agoMy daughters decided they wanted to shave their heads. One an undercut and on the side of her head. They did design work in the shaved parts, hearts for both girls but in totally different designs. We stopped the design work (it just added up too fast because my girls hair grows at a comically fast rate) but we still go for haircuts. Both girls just got bobs and they look great!3 months agoMason did such an amazing job with both my cut and color. They delivered exactly what I was looking for, and on top of that they were so friendly and made the tedious coloring process fly by! It can be hard to find people who know how to treat curly hair, so I was extra grateful for the expertise and attention to detail.I also thought everyone I came in contact with – from other stylists to reception – were very nice and accommodating. The Pride flag stickers and pronoun cards were so appreciated and immediately made me feel welcome.

2 months agoThe barber that cut my hair at Floyd’s really seemed to care about my personal wants and needs. Alex F took the time to ask questions about what I was looking for, would check in for my feedback periodically, and made the process a breeze. The conversation didn’t seem forced, by the end it was like we could have been friends for years, and it made the whole experience that much better. The haircut was good, but plenty of places give good haircuts, it’s the person that made the difference in my experience and desire to come back in the future. Definitely would recommend to people to come see Alex at Floyd’s on Mills for their haircuts.2 months agoThe staff is great, courteous and very respectful. I love the inclusive ambiance. Shoutout to the barber Kai, you rock! He has done my purple and magenta balayage twice already and each time it just looks better and better. I’m super satisfied and have made Floyd’s my go-to.4 months agoGot my hair cut by Dani, super sweet and super quick, got me cleaned up and out in about 30 minutes for a Floyd’s cut. Dani and I were able to take a few minutes to discuss what I wanted, and that’s what I got! This is an LGBTQ+ friendly shop, and not afraid to give a femme-presenting person a “men’s” cut!They will suggest their products, but that’s just business, and they don’t make a big deal out of it. Parking is limited and the shop is busy, so I highly suggest making an appointment online and making sure you pull up at least 15 minutes early.

5 months agoI’ve been going to Nick’s just short of 12 years, and every single experience has been the pinnacle of a quality haircut.Nick’s Barbershop is a no nonsense business. You come in, get your haircut, have good conversation, pay a VERY fair price, and go on about your day. Every barber there is professional, timely, and follows your preference to the last request.
If I could give Nick’s 6, 7, 8, stars, I would. It’s the best barber shop in Orlando, hands down, with the best service. I mean it when I say I’ll be dead before I take my money elsewhere.
4 months agoAlways get great service here, I don’t pick a barber, any of the times that I go, and it’s always great. They all seem to have excellent skill and great touch. This last time Richie took care of me, he was very attentive to my requests and did an excellent Job with my cut. The only other barber that comes to mind is Nick himself, but that’s only because it’s the only other name I remember. Every Barber that has helped me here has done a great Job. I keep coming back here, even after trying other places. The only reason I’ve tried others is because Nick’s hours are tricky, and I can’t always make it after work. But from now on, I will not go anywhere else!!6 months agoAs a local of Orlando for 25 years, this has been my regular barbershop for years. Everyone is professional and honest in their work. Nick is my personal barber, and he is quick and precise in his skill. If there is some style or hair length he isn’t proficient with, he will be up front and direct about it, and recommend one of the other great barbers.
