4 months agoCouldn’t be happier after my first experience. From the moment I walked in the staff was friendly and courteous. Amber did an amazing job and cut my hair exactly as specified. She was quick and efficient but also checked several times to make sure it was perfect before I left. Everyone seems really laid back and wants the best for their clients. Will definitely return!2 months agoNormally I don’t chair hop with barber’s however I found myself in dire need of a shape up. My regular barber is a precision barber very detailed and high in demand. So I decided to take a chance with the under dogs at The Guys Place A Hair Salon, and let me just say it was a bad idea from its location to the ambience of the salon. The barber whom serviced me was very talkative with probing questions of if I was in a relationship or not ? Am I open to dating ? Like excuse me just focus on your work. My shape up is jacked up long story short. I do not recommend this place at all and if you do consider going here just know it’s at your own risk.Editing this review to respond to owner
It’s unprofessional to not take constructive criticism especially when you’re given feedback from a first time client whom will never step foot in your salon again. My Barber could definitely come into your establishment and train your staff on a thing or two about shaping up, cutting and styling. You turned the reply option off therefore leaving me no choice other then to edit my review to respond to you. I’ll definitely be taking this to social media as well. And after reading through the other reviews this is typical of you as a owner to respond to reviews that present themselves as opportunities instead of making things right.

a month agoI came in for my first haircut in the Durham area after moving from out of state. Esther delivered exactly what I was asking for! She was pleasant, skilled and a great conversation! Will definitely be returning to the guys place to see Esther for future hair cuts!4 months agoI tried a bunch of hair places in the area, from fancy salons to other barber shops, and I’ve never had someone cut my hair as consistently good as Kay. Kay is awesome and I always get lots of compliments on my haircut. I have nothing but good things to say about the shop and staff as well. They’re always super nice and accommodating, and are always great about communicating. Laid back atmosphere and great service.5 months agoAmber did An Excellent Job with cutting my hair and waxing my eyebrows. I’ve been searching for a good hairstylist for months because I am very particular with the way my hair is cut until I had Amber cut it last month. She is very professional and has passion for what she does and makes sure that you are satisfied with your haircut. Amber should not only get 5 stars but 10 stars for her professionalism!

While I waited (briefly) Rock made me and my son feel incredibly welcome. And we met some amazing people both before and after my haircut. Plus there’s beer (a free small pour, probably like 8-10oz) with your haircut. It’s a great location, right across the street from the Corcoran street parking deck, so it’s really easy to get to. I go monthly just as I need it as opposed to wait until it looks like hammered shed. Mel Listens to what I want and knows how to do it. I told her I wanted it to look like Brad Pitt’s hair and she told me well she can cut my hair but she couldn’t help me with the rest of it. I get a monthly haircut and a beard trim on she charged me 55 bucks and I give her at least 10 bucks tip depending on my mood. I’ve been going there for about a year3 months agoI stopped by on a busy weekend hoping to get a cut before Monday. They were fully booked but put my name on a wait-list. A person cancelled and they were able to get me in. The staff was courteous. They treated me to a beer while I waited which was absolutely deluxe. My haircut came out exactly how I wanted it. Ashleigh was kind and very professional. Overall, a great time!

2 months agoAaliyah made my first experience at a Sports Clips, my greatest experience. I don’t know if everyone experiences the level of personal attention and pampering I received. Aaliyah had a one hour wait for her chair. But her charming personality made this wait well worth it.2 months agoMy experience was very positive. Laura was very attentive to my requests regarding the cut I wanted. She did a great job of explaining various offerings and I am pleased with the outcome. This was my inaugural visit to any Sport Clip shop. If this is typical service, then I will return!2 weeks agoI came in for a haircut with a time of 3:23. When I got there they told me to take a seat. There was one person in there cutting hair and when after 20 minutes of waiting I was told that the time is an estimate and they would get to me when they could. No apology for anything. There were probably like 5 other people waiting so it was going to be hours. Complete joke. Avoid at all costs unless you want to spend your day sitting in an uncomfortable chair hoping to get a haircut.a month agoOverall an efficient place to get a haircut from. Lynni is my favorite. I highly recommend her.In between haircuts, you can get your sides and back trimmed for free.

3 months agoKhatania was amazing. She was very attentive and friendly. The haircut turned out perfect! In addition, she also shampooed and conditioned my hair and gave me two steam towels while the chair gave me a massage. The experience was exquisite! Khatania is a professional and knowledgeable hairstylist. I will definitely be back whenever I need a haircut. ?
