  Love this place! The only Dr my daughter has ever liked is here. He actually made her laugh & she was comfy talking to him. That is huge since she is a nervous wreck at Dr office. Was a fast experience, which I did do paperwork & etc online. I don’t know if that makes a difference or not but either way, was a pleasant & quick experience. I highly recommend!

  I cannot say enough good things about this urgent care. We took our three month old who spiked a high fever at 7pm, and the nurses were so nice, and the NP made us feel like we were seeing our own pediatrician. She spent time with us, and told us what to look for, when to go to urgent care vs the ER. She personally called the next day with her test results to check on our girl, and explain results and what they mean. For first time parents like us, this gave us great comfort and it was a care level you often don’t find in an urgent care. Even the front desk attendant was so nice- when another mom asked for water for her child, she filled up a mother’s water bottle with water from their personal break room. It was 100% worth the drive from Gardendale, and we will now always use them for any urgent care needs. Huge thank you to this staff.

  The lady at the front desk was so sweet. Helped me with filling out the online paperwork. We might have waited 10 minutes after paperwork was filled out before we were called back. Quick and efficient.

  Besides my kid’s pediatrician I HIGHLY recommend children’s urgent care to anyone who needs a doctor after hours. Or for urgent needs. They are so responsive and great when it comes to diagnoses and are gentle and caring when it comes to their patients.

  The doctors and nurses might be of good quality, but the front desk service is extremely lacking. I arrived during business hours, and was told that there was no way they could see me; only the provider could make that decision. When I inquired about speaking to the provider, I was informed that they were busy with another patient and would not have the time to talk to me. The front desk displayed no empathy and showed no willingness to assist or accommodate any requests. It was a truly distressing experience, especially when arriving with a sick child.

  I was very impressed with this AFC! I got there an hour before they closed but I was still treated with every kindness given to the first person who arrives in the day. They quickly had me fill out forms through a tablet and my own phone, making all of the sign easy and less problematic when you feel terrible. I had a wonderful NP that gave me full attention and my prescriptions were faxed in to my pharmacy before I left. By the time I got there they were ready and I could continue my trip home. They made sure I was going to feel better soon and if I don’t, I’m to call back. I will definitely use them again!

  My experience at The Grove AFC was the best from the friendly receptionist to the young lady that took my vitals to my nurse practitioner who told me what was going on and took the time to explain throughly what was going on and how to get better. They were all exceptional people and care givers. They gave me a thorough diagnosis and told me how to handle after care. This was better than going to my own doctors office lol. Thank you for your smiles and your level of exceptional care. You made me feel better even before I got my medicine. Keep up the great work.

  I would rate 0 if I could.

  We had to wait 4+ hours for the entire procedure despite only three people actually being ahead of us, half of that wait time was the lobby and the other half was waiting in an empty room while we could hear people through the thin walls making fun of us.

  We had to wait an HOUR and ELEVEN minutes to get blood pressure re-taken alone.

  Not to mention other people walking in mask less saying they have covid and not even being told to wear a mask.

  Everyone was so nice and helpful. They even helped me enter my information. Dr. Austin was awesome. He is so knowledgeable. Thank you again for helping me. The other one I went to was not helpful at all waited one hour and a half for someone to tell me I had not completed the information on my phone even though I thought I had then they put me last so we left they did my niece the same way a couple of weeks ago. If I ever need to go back I will go to the one on the corner of Taylor Road.

  There was a bit of a wait as this is a popular location and also I wish they were more transparent about which location takes specific insurance on their website. My physician was absolutely wonderful and caring. I feel so much better today. The nurse who took my labs was also very nice and compassionate.

  The check in and triage experience was super quick, but the actual provider could not have cared less. She looked in my ears for less than 5 seconds, never looked in my nose and throat, and said there was nothing they could do to help me. She kept moving back toward the door and checking her watch trying to get out of the room but was only in the room maybe a total of 2 minutes. Very impersonal and cold. I am a medical professional myself and could not believe how rude the nurse practitioner was to me. I’ve never had someone be that dismissive. The rest of the staff were very nice though.I wanted to like it because the location is so convenient, but I won’t be back due to the complete disregard for rapport building by the NP. I understand you have to run a busy clinic. I help run one myself. But you can still simply just be nice.

  Mrs. Nettra definitely make sure I was GOOD while I was waiting to be seen. When I got cold she gave me a blanket and also ensured I was as comfortable as possible and that my guest was too. She also ensured the area outside of where we were was sanitized as patients were were coming in with coughs etc. She was very knowledgeable and caring. I definitely appreciate her. Also, to the women and front desk for her patience with my insurance, thank you guys.

  I had a very good urgent care experience. The woman at front desk was friendly and efficient, as was the Xray tech. The medical assistant was so informed and professional that I asked if she was going to school to advance herself (yep, she’s going to be a PA). The doctor was knowledgeable, and quickly developed a three point plan to deal with my issues until follow up with my doctor. Lastly, the pharmacist had a great personality, explained meds well, and was mindful of costs. I’ll use them again if the need arises.

  Job well done, AFC. I love the interaction I received from the front desk receptionist. It was obvious she’s new to her role but her attitude was on point! The care begins there! The medical side of it was good as well. My concerns were attended to and met.
