a week agoEvery member of Dr. Layne’s team was amazing. Having just moved to town without insurance, finding care can be daunting. From the person answering the phone to the intake coordinator, the physician’s assistant and of course the amazing Dr. Layne were all so helpful, fast and friendly. I learned a great deal about how to care for my ailment and how best to manage moving forward. A big thank you to the team at Founders Family Medicine and Urgent Care!2 months agoI have been going here for years the front desk staff are amazing always helpful and just great personality. The doctors are on top of what you need concerns just great all around customer service and on top of their game with new medical procedures. Can’t say enough about all of the staff including lab technician. Thank you for year’s if service. Sincerely Cherylee Whitea month agoI made an appointment weeks in advance so I could get all my kiddos in on the same day. I verified they took my insurance with the front desk staff. As I arrived to their appointment they told me they weren’t accepting new patients for my insurance. Frustrated but with nothing I could do I thanked them for their apology and left. As a mom of 4 this is very frustrating. I took the day off work, and now I have to find a new doctor and get them in asap as they need physicals for school.a month agoI’ve been seeing Dr. Campbell for years, also have been seen by others as well. They are a top notch provider. The staff is very courteous and competent, from the front desk to the phlebotomist and everyone in between, keep up the great work!2 months agoMy family and I have been patients for over 10 years. All the doctors are amazing and so are the ladies at the front desk. Today I was seen by Dr. Layne Cryan and she is incredible. I definitely recommend her!

a week agoI had a wonderful experience at AFC Urgent Care Castle Rock. I’ve had experiences at a couple of the urgent cares in town, and this was hands down the best. Bonnie at the front desk welcomed me and checked me in with compassion and kindness, immediately starting the visit on a positive note. David brought me back to the exam room and went over my symptoms. He was very thorough and mindful. Rebecca, the provider, then came in and reviewed my test results and treatment options. She was attentive and made sure that I was comfortable with the treatment plan. Both she and David were caring and thoughtful about me as a patient and person. I felt very well-cared for and listened to the entire visit. Everyone I encountered here was so kind and attentive. While I know this can’t always be the case, an added bonus was that there was no wait at all; they were able to see me right away and I was in and out in a half an hour. I recommend them for any urgent care needs, and will return in the event that I need urgent care in the future.Thank you for making it an easy, smooth, and (other than a sore throat) enjoyable experience!
a month agoI couldn’t not review! My husband was thrown from his mountain bike and came in with broken ribs (unbeknownst to us). We didn’t want to deal with the ER so we tried AFC. I’m so glad! My husband kept saying this feels like a private ER. They immediately sprang into action. Starting with Erin at the front desk being immediately concerned about his neck and head. David the RN came out and started asking questions then took him back to the emergency area. He didn’t rest until my husbands pain was less, wounds were cleaned and felt safe and secure being there. Megan who did his X-rays made sure he was comfortable in them positions required to take proper scans. And Michelle the provider immediately started an IV to ensure he was not in pain and full of fluids! She was quick to read his scans and confirm the diagnosis. She left us with a whole set of directions to ensure he remained comfortable and it’s all working! We will never use anyone else going forward!a month agoThis is the first time I have gone to AFC, and the front desk was quick very nice and compassionate! They took care of my son pretty quickly. This was definitely a lot better than the little clinic or emergency room! I will definitely come back if needed! ☺️a month agoWorst urgent care service I’ve seen across several states. For something as basic as a covid test.First, the appointment was at 7:20pm. All paperwork was done online ahead of time. Waited 30min until they were almost closed before I was seen.
Second, the provider wouldn’t even enter the room to see me. She (Rebecca Pencoff) stood in the doorway and talked from there, like I had Ebola and was bleeding from the eyes. I’m simply there for a COVID test, which was already taken. We are both masked.
First thing she says, “Do you have COVID?” Well isnt that what im here to ask YOU? That’s why I’m here for the test, Einstein. “I’m not impervious from COVID” she says. Well, put more PPE on or get a new line of work if you are that fearful.
Third, she said they’d call with test results the next day. Here we are 3 days later with no communication. I was given a paper listing “Statlab diagnostics,” also stating a call the next morning. I call the number on the paper, and the message says to call the clinic where I went!
So I called the clinic number and can not get a human on the line after 3 tries of various selections.
I’ve never seen such incompetence with something so routine.
3 months agoThe staff was amazing and very attentive to my needs. They made me feel at ease and understood my situation with no judgement, was very caring and showed compassion. I would highly recommend your staff to others. Erin the PA should receive the highest praise for the work she does. She took all my worries away and let me know you guys are there to tend to my medical needs. Truly a blessing!!

a week agoCheck in was very efficient and orderly. When in exam room tech was very efficient and thorough.
The physician assistant, Alisha, worked with me. She took time to understand my problems, medication, etc. Thorough review of all those things. Care plan and next steps were very clear to me.
Communication between Clinic and Pharmacy was very efficient and Quik
These guys deserve a “10” for sure!
4 months agoHad to complete a drug screening here for a new job. The staff here is incredibly sweet and oh so patient! I got to hear them handle a couple of urgent care clients and were very knowledgeable and respectful of everyone who came in. They make you feel comfortable & the facility itself is very nice and clean. This Urgent Care also hosts a primary care facility focusing on physical therapy. Thank you so much, Kim. You’re the best ?2 months agoAll of the staff was absolutely wonderful. The wait time was only about three minutes before my name was called. Dr. Ryan Dean Sharp, PAC was amazing. He explained everything he was going to do before he did it, answered any of my questions, and made me feel seen while diagnosing me.5 months agoThis urgent care is by far one of the best ones I have ever needed to visit. The gentleman at the front desk was super nice and patient with me especially with not having a voice. PA Ryan Sharp was honestly the most caring provider. Not sure if he does primary care as well or only urgent care but I would totally switch primary care doctors if so. Thank you guys for being so awesome!a month agoI’m an actually disabled service dog handler with invisible disabilities. I ended up at UCHealth’s urgent care yesterday morning due to what is likely a non-covid viral infection. Every single person who engaged with me wore masks without me having to ask and without them asking me if that’s what I would prefer. As a person who is still COVID cautious for my own health and the health of the other disabled & vulnerable people in my life, this was huge. My service dog was actually alerting to my anxiety pretty much my entire visit because too many of my peers have been wrongly pathologised & even labelled as hostile/aggressive for simply asking gently if medical staff could wear masks and i worried that would become an issue during my appointment. It was not! Keala at the front desk was immensely patient with me as she helped me fill out all the forms I couldn’t fill out online (because i managed to get myself locked out of making an account?♀️), and when i had to wait for a money transfer to pay for my uninsured visit. EMT Dalton and PA-C Ryan both administered a level of compassionate care that i wish every medical professional in the world was capable of providing. I mean that. They paid attention to everything i said, they were entirely non-judgemental and in fact, they were very affirming of my experiences and perspective. They cared about making sure the services i received were effective in terms of diagnostics while staying respectfully within my financial means. They talked everything out with me so that i understood exactly what was going on and could give my informed consent with each step. As long as I’m uninsured, this might be my preferred urgent care clinic!

Planning to Visit a Family Doctor? Here’s What You Should Consider!
Visiting a family doctor in the United States is an essential part of maintaining good health. Whether you need a routine check-up, preventive screenings, or treatment for an illness, there are certain things to consider to make the most out of your visit.
Here are some important factors to keep in mind:
- Medical history: Before visiting a family doctor, gather and organize your medical history. This includes any past surgeries, allergies, chronic conditions, and medications you are currently taking. Having this information readily available will help your doctor make accurate diagnoses and provide appropriate treatment.
- Symptoms and concerns: Prior to your appointment, make a list of any symptoms or concerns you have. Be specific and detail any changes, duration, or patterns you have noticed. This will help your doctor grasp a better understanding of your condition and provide the necessary guidance or referrals.
- Current medications: Remember to inform your doctor about any prescription medications, over-the-counter drugs, or supplements you are taking. This information is important to avoid potential drug interactions and ensure your treatments are safe and effective.
- Medical insurance: Before your visit, make sure to check if your family doctor is within your insurance network. This will help avoid unexpected out-of-pocket expenses. Familiarize yourself with your insurance coverage, including copayments, deductibles, and any referral processes required by your insurer.
- Questions and doubts: Prepare a list of questions or doubts to discuss with your family doctor during the appointment. It’s easy to forget important details once you are at the doctor’s office, so having a written list ensures that your concerns are addressed and you receive the information you need.
- Follow-up instructions: Take notes during your appointment and ask for any follow-up instructions or next steps. If your doctor prescribes medication, make sure to understand the dosage, frequency, and any potential side effects. Clarify any doubts or instructions before leaving the office.
By considering these factors when visiting your family doctor in the United States, you can ensure a more productive and effective healthcare experience. Remember to be open and honest with your doctor, as effective communication is key to receiving the best possible care.
