5 months agoI have been getting my hair cut from Javier for as long as I can remember at a minimum 12 years. His services have always been superb, not a single bad experience. Everyone who has worked here was always friendly, and it’s very easy to have a conversation throughout the service. The barbershop is a safe and welcoming environment, music is always on if not a movie or something else. I’d recommend anyone to come here for any event they may need an excellent haircut for. 100% a 5 star business and the only place I’d trust with my hair.6 months agoI visit Micheal every three weeks! The guys are always friendly and talkative with great music or movies playing. I’ve been going to Javi’s for years now and never been disappointed with my haircut! Thank you guys!!a week agoWent here to get cleaned up for my wedding. The haircut was really expensive and it wasn’t anything special. I would compare it to great clips quality. Also, equipment was not sharp and made for an uncomfortable haircuta month agoI’ve been going here for years. Incredibly talented barbers that are professional and creative. No matter how you look going in, you always feel and look great when you leave. Highly recommended!a month agoBeen going to them and only them since I’ve lived here. Asked them to clean up my neck for 15 bucks nobody was in the shop waiting for a cut and they say no when I’ve tipped double a haircut multiple times. Don’t recommend here.

What to Consider When Visiting a Barbershop in Salem OR
When going to a barbershop in the United States, there are several things to consider to ensure a positive experience. These include:
- Research and choose a reputable barbershop: Take the time to research different barbershops in the area and read reviews from previous customers. Look for a barbershop that has experienced and skilled barbers who can provide the specific services you are looking for.
- Consider the barber’s expertise: Different barbers specialize in various styles and techniques. If you have a specific hairstyle or cut in mind, it’s important to choose a barber who has experience in that area. This will help ensure that you receive the best possible result.
- Communicate your expectations: When you visit the barbershop, it’s important to clearly communicate your expectations and desired hairstyle or haircut to the barber. Bring reference pictures or be able to describe what you want in detail. This will help the barber understand your vision and provide the desired end result.
- Consider the barbershop’s cleanliness and hygiene practices: A clean and well-maintained barbershop is important for both the comfort and safety of customers. Look for a barbershop that follows proper hygiene practices, such as using clean tools and sanitizing equipment between customers.
- Understand the pricing and tipping etiquette: Before getting a haircut, it’s important to inquire about the pricing structure of the barbershop. This will help you avoid any surprises when it comes time to pay. Additionally, it is customary to tip your barber in the United States. The standard tip is typically around 15-20% of the total cost of the service.

The Ultimate Guide to Men’s Haircut Prices in the U.S
When it comes to getting a haircut, many factors influence the price you’ll pay, especially in the United States. While the average cost of a men’s haircut hovers around $29, this number can fluctuate based on various considerations like your location, the expertise of the stylist, and the complexity of the haircut you desire. This comprehensive guide aims to break down these variables and offer tips on getting a quality haircut without breaking the bank.
One of the primary factors affecting the cost of a haircut is the location. Whether you live in an urban, suburban, or rural area can significantly impact the price you’ll pay at the salon or barbershop.
Average Cost of Men’s Haircuts by Location
Location | Average Cost Range |
---|---|
Urban areas | $30 – $40 |
Suburban areas | $25 – $35 |
Rural areas | $20 – $25 |
As evident from the table, haircuts in urban areas tend to be the most expensive, with prices potentially going even higher in high-end salons in major cities. In contrast, rural areas offer the most affordable options.
If you’re searching for affordability, chain salons and barbershops are good alternatives. Students can often take advantage of discounts to further minimize costs.
