4 months agoShort wait, both stylists were very catering to my kids, especially my son who doesn’t exactly love buzz cuts! Both kids left happy and feeling good about their hair cuts.2 months agoGreat clips tend to be my go-to place for haircuts. The price is reasonable, and they do a good job. The only complaint I have is that they are constantly booked, and it’s hard to get in. The fact they are always booked out says a lot!5 months agoThis place baffles me. The first time I did the online thing I was late 30 min and they told me computer automatically takes people off. The next person was told the computer automatically kicks people off that are 20 min late. I waited for next appointment time. In that time period one gentleman was allowed to be almost 2 hours late because one hair dresser wouldn’t let the others kick the guy off. So the truth is the computer does not automatically kick you off it’s manually done by the hair dressers. The second experience I had I was there right at open and the website didn’t load and work right. I walked in and next appointment was 2 hours so I scheduled my toddler and my teenager. We left came back early. The 6 people in front of us did not check in. The number 2 person in line showed up with a friend who was on the list after we signed up. So the number 2 person got their haircut and because of a mistake the other person was able to jump ahead. This doesn’t seem like much but it pushed back the total time. With a toddler this can be bothersome because they become bored and stop listening. So the original 119 min turned out to be 149 minutes. I would love to tip, but not the behaviors above. As a disclaimer I realize they are understaffed and nice as individuals, but being fair, consistent and honest ranks high for me.2 months agoFix YOUR app. left work to take lunch due to the wait time being 15 min knowingly I was going to wait 5 or so min. waited 20+ min and no hair cut. Showed up to my appointment 5 min early(4:51PM) and was told the computer must have kicked my appointment because they were closing & therefore they weren’t willing to do it. Wouldn’t recommend booking if your wait time is anywhere near store close.

3 weeks ago10/10 recommend. They took my two boys, ages 5 and 4, and were so good with them! Their hair looks amazing! Absolutely recommend for kids cuts or any cut. We had to wait a little while because we were walkins so we were able to see others getting their hair done and everyone left with awesome hair. Friendly and helpful staff!a week agofirst time i went, i got the best haircut ever. i dont remember the name of the lady who did it though. this time though, different stylist, worst haircut of my life. don’t get a cut from Hope. maybe if its just your little kid, whatever, but if youre going for a back to school cut and actually care about it looking good, dont. heres what i came out with. i had a reference photo and everything, i wanted scene/emo hair, and i got this. i started sobbing in the salon. and she had the nerve to say it was MY fault that she did this? i have to go to school like this in a week! im gonna get beat up! my friends are laughing at me! please for the love of god dont go to this stylist if you want something specific!4 months agoService: men’s cut.Made an appointment and went to BAM specifically because we saw they had male stylists, and my BF had never had a cut by a man/barber and we figured a man would be an expert in men’s hair? Bottom line we wanted experience and we were willing to pay for it (rather than going to great clips or fantastic sams). Made an appointment with one of the male employees and were told with very short notice that the man we made an appointment with would not be available that day, ok nbd, emergencies happen, maybe another man? Nope, the employees working were a couple young women, both of whom were very nice, but the one that took my BF seemed very clearly green. We asked for something relatively simple, IMHO, longer on the top, shorter on the sides & back (think like the Hemsworth brothers, medium length not like a buzz). Now I wasn’t personally involved in whatever discussion happened in the chair, but he wound up with a super short haircut that was extra short in the front top and longer on the back & sides. Very textured. Kinda looked like Leslie Knope when she goes to a barber and gets “The Mayor” hairstyle. The green stylist asked for help but it was too late, the haircut was basically the opposite of what he wanted. Very 2008 Ryan Gosling buzz instead of modern Liam Hemsworth. It turned out looking okay overall but it was not what he asked for.
It would have been nice if she disclosed she was inexperienced in mens hair, because that was an expensive cut for something Great Clips consistently does better. And honestly, why force you to book an appointment if you don’t honor appointment preferences? Was really hoping this place would work out so I don’t have to keep cutting it myself ??
3 months ago1 st my wife went had a great person, 2nd time she asked for the same person, wanted a wash and cut style, got none of the above. What she got was a new person that she didn’t ask for, she sprayed her hair down with a spray bottle, no shampoo wash no style ,and wanted her hair at shoulder length, and the stylist tells her that that would be to short for her, says it’s hard to comb her hair because of hair spray which is why she wanted it shampooed daaa, and then was charged 45 bucks, all wrong, don’t go there.a month agoMy stylist has been 10-15 minutes late for my last 4 appointments or so. I showed up 8 minutes late today and was rudely informed she had left for the day.

My stylist was Beverley a really friendly woman. And I was extremely happy with the result! And they also offered me a $2 discount for students with a student ID!a week agoI’ve been going to the Mt. Royal location for 7+ years now. The staff is always professional yet personable. They are GREAT with my 8 year old son as well. He actually got his first haircut there when he was around 3 years old 🙂5 months agoExcellent experience! Great haircut and very nice stylist (Schell) . The place was busy but very organized and stylists seemed to take their time to make sure customers were pleased. Also my stylist seemed to take the cue that I preferred not to be constantly chatting —-but I heard other customers be more talkative and their stylists were very personable.
