  1. Nice location. Food service is interesting as you seat yourself. Very packed but only place I could find downtown where we could eat. You have to be flexible on seating and menu for kids not great but doable. I believe menus are different on some floors (Oysters only available on 6th floor). Not my favorite place but really liked we could get seated fast and eat relatively quickly. Our food was alright and I enjoyed it.

  2. Always a seat available on one of the 5 floors. Fast, diner fare with good service.

Average cheeseburger and fries. Hit Nashville Chicken salad is a good deal and tasty. Shrimp and grits is variable- but good tonight. Sometimes it’s dry.

Gumbo has a nice spice. Smashed potatoes are 70% instant with a lil’ real. Not worth it.

Cheesecake and Carrot cake are well worth it. 7-layer bar sat around so was a bit rough.

    Cappuccino spot on.

  3. The only good thing about this place is the location and how the building looks. It has 6 floors, and the higher the better the view of the city. Not too expensive but food and service were average. They charge fee for being in downtown and another fee that is not a tip.

  4. This place is so nice. We aren’t from the area. We were looking where to eat. This place did not disappoint me. The food was amazing. The views that this restaurant has so amazing. I will come back when I go back to this area. The blue cheese they gave with the wings. It is probably one of my top five favorite blue cheese.

  5. Fun place. 6 story diner with breakfast/brunch, lunch and dinner, full bar, milkshakes, etc. We ate brunch on the top floor bar overlooking the city with great views. Nice menu with some diner basics and even sushi and oysters. Had the hot chicken and waffles and the oysters. Both were very good. Good cocktails also. Place was busy but we didn’t have to wait long. We had our 2 teenagers with us and they liked it too.

Food was great but definitely on the pricey side but this is a place to dine in for the experience. Very kid and family friendly restaurant! Our server was super nice! If you paid for a 20oz, you could keep the glass cup so that was super nice! I highly recommend for anyone that is staying around the Nashville area and would like to try something new or if you just like seafood! 5/5 for the overall experience. We also got pictures of us taken in front of the aquarium that came with a complimentary postcard!

In town visiting and decided to eat here and it was a great decision! There’s a giant tank in the middle of the room and you get to enjoy your meal with the relaxation of watching fish swim around (literally, they do laps). Our waiter Toby was awesome!
We got a seafood dip for an appetizer which I highly recommend. I got the Cajun pasta and it also did not disappoint. My friend got the mixed grill. All the food was delicious and I would definitely come back.

Great place to have lunch or dinner and relax while watching the fish! We put our name on a wait list and we’re told over two hours but ended up a little over one – worth the wait either way!

The aquarium was so beautiful and well maintained you couldn’t take your eyes off it and the many kinds of fish. Their menu had a large selection of food – we went with the Herb Crusted Salmon, Chicken Alfredo and the good ole American Cheese Hamburger and they did not disappoint. Jessica was our server and had excellent customer service and our drinks were always fresh! Highly recommend this restaurant!

Very nice place to eat. I really enjoyed the atmosphere, it was like being in my own undersea grotto. Watching the fish in the giant indoor aquarium was soothing and captivating all at once. The service was excellent, and the food was very good as well, a little pricey, but worth the cost. If I were back in Nashville more often, I would probably go again. Loved it.

Came here while on vacation. Wasn’t expecting much. Was pleasantly surprised. The star of the show were the tanks, however the food was actually above average. Very good. As you would expect, prices were pretty high but for us it was worth it because of the experience and quality of the dishes. Would recommend if in town and are looking for a place with the kids. Lost one star because of the very, very long wait list and that there were seemingly many empty tables once we got in. Guessing this is due to short staffing.

Delicious and authentic southern food in the heart of Music City!!

This spot IS DELICIOUS. Please get the Chicken Fried Chicken and Mac…it blew my mind.

The bread pudding is also a must!

Service here is wonderful and they have a good selection of items to choose from as well.

It’s in the heart of downtown Nashville and within walking distance to bars, shops, and the nightlife.

By far one of the best steakhouses I have ever been to! I did a lot of research to make sure we had a great Birthday celebration while we were in Nashville and I am very happy with this choice. The filet was delicious, our server Eric was exceptional, everyone was nice/friendly and the restaurant was clean! The prices were reasonable for the area, portions and quality. I highly recommend this restaurant… we will be back!

So I’ll start by saying it could be that they are dealing with the effects of Covid and being understaffed BUT we had a group of 12 and reservations. We were sat right away. Took a minute to get our drink order in. Then once we got the food order in we waited over 1.5hr! We had a mix up with oyster orders and the waiter was a little flippant over something that was not our fault. They had someone bringing out food (seemed like his first day) dressed in regular street clothes walking around with plates looking confused. Food was good, at least mine was. We had been given high reviews in form of a referral when this place was recommended. Nice restaurant very appealing to the eye but we were disappointed with how long it took to get our food. We were at the restaurant for over 2 hrs when all was said and done.

Liked this place a lot! Delicious food. Liked the oysters, shrimp and grits, delicious biscuits. Staff was very attentive and friendly. They had great live music while we were there, and they had TVs going for sports games.

Bbq shrimp app was good! You get about 5-6 shrimp.
Old fashioned and strawberry cocktail were both good
Steak seemed to be a little more done that medium, but it’s mostly from the age. Overall great place! We arrived 15 minutes before they opened with no reservation and were seated at approximately 5pm!

We went here for brunch and it was good. Certain parts of the restaurant are very loud with people simply enjoying themselves, which we didn’t mind. Great grilled oysters. We picked quite a few things off the menu and enjoyed them all. Definitely a place we will revisit. We had reservations but still have to wait a few extra minutes. We did t mind. It’s a very busy place, so do be patient. Giving it 4 stars because our waitress could of been a bit more attentive- another waiter near by checked on us quite a bit.

We found Urban Grub super last minute, I called doubting they would have an available reservation but we’re able to get us in for 8pm. We got there a little early and they sat us in the chef’s table which gave us a full view of the expo operation. Thank you so much to the hostess Rue for squeezing our party of 5 in and giving us the best experience! Ryan Miller is hands down the best server. He knows the menu on the back of his hand. Very professional and passionate about his job. The Virginia Oysters were great! We ordered the Scallops and Double Cut Pork chop! They even brought us sweets from their in house bakery for my birthday! This was the best dinner we had while in Nashville!

We visited from out of town and looked for places that allow dogs since we had our pup with us. We were able to sit on the back patio area next to the bar. It is enclosed, heated and super cozy. Some of the tastiest food we’ve ever eaten. Literally every dish from appetizer to salad to main course was amazing. Recommend the pork chops! Krista took care of us. She provided us with the absolute BEST service. She gave us a run down of the menu and some of the local favorites. She was super fast and made us feel so welcome. It can be stressful finding a place to bring your dog to dinner in the dead of winter and Urban Grub was able to accommodate us. Lastly, the super friendly bartender brought out dog treats for our pup and offered to bring out a water bowl. Thank-you for the amazing experience, the best service, and delicious food! Highly recommend this place to everyone!

I’ve waited awhile to write this review, and have teetered back and forth between 3 and 4 stars. I’ve settled on 3 because the service and food were good, but there were several nuisances that made the meal very uncomfortable for me.

The environment, while cozy and cool, was very loud.

The crab fritters were a little mushy… good flavor, but I wish they were crispier.

The pork fries came recommended, and were fun to try. Some pieces were tough—I probably wouldn’t get again.

Tuna Poke was out of this world.

I would have purchased the basket of complimentary cheesy popovers and biscuits. SO GOOD.

Now…….. the entrees. I was disappointed in the servers’ recommendations for entrees. We dine at restaurants in this price bracket often, and these are by far the LARGEST portions I have ever been served. And for me, that’s not a good thing. When I was expecting a few pieces of fire-roasted chicken with a side of crispy rice and tasty sauce, I was served a WHOLE CHICKEN with a sprinkle of crispy rice on top and not near enough sauce. No one person needed to order that entree, though prepared well and very moist. It could’ve been shared by our table of 4. She did not recommend I order any sides to enjoy with my WHOLE CHICKEN either. Not a very fun meal to eat. I was very overwhelmed by the portion size and disproportionate ratio of meat to side/garnish/sauce.

The lobster risotto, again, prepared well, I’m certain had a whole portion lobster meat on it, with some extra on top. The other two entrees our table ordered were also 2-3 servings.

And as travelers from out of town, we were leaving the next day and did not need, or even frankly want, leftovers. I prefer to enjoy several smaller courses and leave satisfied at restaurants of this kind.

Again, good food, fine service, but beware of portion sizes. Split if you can… or better, Urban Grub, change your serving sizes.

This place is amazing. The service was incredible – our waiter knew the menu very well, gave excellent recommendations, and even told some interesting history about how the restaurant came about.

They items we received had very generous portions and the flavors were incredible.

They have a solid drink menu including great craft beer, wine, and cocktail selections.

The atmosphere got 4/5 only because it was very loud the night we were there. Aside from that, they have a (propane I think) “fireplace” in the center of the room and an exposed brick/ceramic oven by the kitchen that really add to the artisan feeling of the place.

Next time I am back in Nashville I will 100% be making another reservation!!

Service was great! Food was delicious! (Although our steaks weren’t cooked exactly how we wanted, our own ignorance). Clean and the ambience was beautiful! I loved the different chandeliers. We had the New York Strip (roasted garlic butter on top), Steak Collinsworth, Creamy mashed potatoes and the Classic creamed spinach.

Also for dessert we had the Jeff Ruby’s Very own cheesecake which was also delicious.

Would definitely go again. Thank you for a great first time steakhouse experience and birthday dinner.

My review is not for steaks. I don’t eat red meat. So this review is for who orders sea food. Ambience was rich and lovely. But not bright enough get good pictures of the food. Staff was friendly to change our seats to what we liked.

    What we ordered:
    crab cake: was delicious
tuna sushi: was again very delightful and tasty. Never had that good sushi before
chicken entree : was average. Chicken was dry and not tender
salmon entree: was ok. risotto was good but again it was dry and not tender. Felt like over cooked.
We got a couple dessert sampler as a congratulations because it was our anniversary.

I would go again for sushi

By far the best dining experience I have had ever. I ordered the 8oz wagu and 12oz cold water lobster tail and it was heavenly. I asked to see the certificate, and the cut before cooking and both were presented without question. Our server Barrett was very professional and friendly. Commentary valet parking, so easy access. It’s a lovely place and I highly recommend anything on the menu. If you find this review helpful, click on like below.

The best meal we’ve had this trip and definitely worth every penny. My friend’s birthday and they made it so special. Her sea bass was the best she’s ever tasted. The St Ann’s East Coast oyster the best I’ve ever had. My steak was literally perfectly cooked and I’m fussy.
Joe and Andrew looked after us so well. So friendly and knowledgable and I even got offered an arm to escort me to the restroom.
    Simply wonderful experience. Go.

Amazing ambience. Food was tasty. Great appetizers. Great steak and lovely well crafted deserts. The mac and cheese is one of the best I have had done in the French style. The carrot cake was moist and not to sweet. The chocolate cake was well balanced.
