The girls and I were in town for a weekend getaway to disconnect from work and reconnect with each other and nature. We popped in Friday and loved everything! We ordered so much food. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Daniel was our server, he was a gem 💎 the rest of our party came in Saturday and we ended up coming back for dinner Saturday also, the menu really had something for everyone. Soups, salads, appetizers, entrees and drinks. Saturday we ordered desserts. Everyone was impressed. Karen was very pleasant and attentive to our table Saturday, Daniel wasn’t available per our request. Highly recommend you can’t go wrong here.

We had bit of difficulty finding the access to the restaurant from the main road, but that may have been a silly mistake on our part. But it’s just up the long rand at the very end of all the shops. It’s positioned at the top of a high hill overlooking the main road and Berkeley Springs. It has a nice view of the mountain side, outside of the road view. The restaurant isn’t that big so this should be kept in mind if you are planning to go with a larger group. We were in Berkeley Springs for a family vacation and so we had a larger group of people, so about 8 people, and I’m glad we made reservations. They do have outdoor seating but it had just rained so everyone was seated inside and it filled up fast. I recommend making reservations just in case.
The cabin rental recommend this restaurant for its crab soup, and while it was definitely delicious it seemed a bit expensive, but it was real crab so… the cup was kinda small and was $6.50, the bowl which could have been a decent meal was $10ish. They didn’t have a very large entree choice but it was enough to cover the different tastes of my family members. All the portions were pretty big (besides the crab soup cup) and we definitely ordered too much. The food was delicious, for the exception of the Mac and cheese side. It had a very strong taste that was very different from what one would typically expect, I personally did not like it. The server was very friendly and helpful for food suggestions, but she did forget some if our requests for small things like napkins or sauces and things of that nature, but I think it was due to the fact that they were a bit understaffed for servers at the time. Overall, it was a nice experience and meal. I’d definitely recommend it.

The view from the patio was beautiful with the sun on our back. The service (Daniel) was friendly and prompt. The food was exceptional and fulfilling. A must stop, enjoy.

Very solid lunch/drinks place! The patio is phenomenal and has great views. I suggest swapping your fries for onion rings…they hit the spot! They are open in the evenings too, although they’re short staffed these days and close at 9 (rather than midnight). Thanks Lindsay for the great service!!

Bad restaurant masquerading as a nice one.

Food was hit or miss. Strawberry margarita was like drinking artificial strawberry syrup, neither tasted nor felt alcohol. For me, usually one drink is enough for a strong buzz. Was told the bartender won’t make any drinks not specifically on the menu – I’m sorry, what???

Abysmal service. Waitress was around so infrequent that even if it were heavy pours, which I would never accuse them of, we would have spent the night sober. Any order customizations were ignored, e.g. extra butter for potatoes. One person waited extra time for their meal because it was brought to the wrong table. Spent almost an hour waiting to leave. Checks took forever once asked for and they never came back for them to run our cards. Tried to bring them inside to pay but every waiter/waitress actively ignored our party member inside. Not a case of being too busy given someone was rolling silverware at a table. Finally just paid in cash so we could try and salvage the evening by leaving.

Tony and I had dinner tonight at the Angus and Ale. First let me say they won our business by default…they are located in the same parking lot as our hotel.

We had to wait to be seated because they were understaffed. Their hours are only 4-8pm…so not a lot of wiggle room there.

We ordered Half/Half Tea with lemon and lime and he got a Budweiser. He decided to get the Steamed Shrimp in Old Bay Seasoning, Green Beans and sweet potato fries. I went light a cup of their Stuffed Pepper Soup and side salad. They brought us a bucket of hot rolls with side of butter and Homemade Apple Butter….very good by the way!!! The apple butter that is!!!!

I loved my soup and waitress very attentive and kept me in tea refills. Not crazy about the salad…but it was exactly what I ordered Side Salad…with 1000 Island Dressing. Tony loved his steamed shrimp but the green beans and sweet potato fries were not so good!!!

I wouldn’t have to go back but Hey Good News, your experience might be better than mine!! Thanks for letting me voice my opinion.

They have the best Gator tale I have ever had. I wish I had room for more cause it was so good as a matter of fact all their food was excellent
My steak, french fries, and my salad the food was just excellent. I can’t wait to go back for more

As far as food here is concerned, gator tail was pretty good. I ordered a medium-rare steak, but got a medium well/well done steak. We also ordered salmon, which was over cooked as well. Chicken wings were bland and my daughter did not eat them.
Overall I say the food here is way below average, however, service is amazing. Very courteous staff.
I would gladly give this place all FIVE stars, but the food here is below average.

Overall a nice family friendly restaurant. The food was better than most places in Berkeley Springs.
The downfall for me was the time we had to wait to get our food, from the time our family sat down until food was out on the table was right at an hour. We didn’t go at a busy time or day. It was our first visit here after moving to the area. We will try it again in hopes for quicker turn around time. I ordered a steak and fries salad. The fries and steak were cold. You could tell it had sat prepared for a while before it was served at the table. My husband said his burger also wasn’t very flavorful.
We will try again in a few weeks and see if we have a better experience.

My husband and I are out of towners, decided to try this place on the way through. The best burgers (Mason Dixon, and Sweet A) we ever had, the staff was super friendly, Tina W was our service and she was great. I honestly think I might drive 8 hours just to come back here.

We have now been to Mi Ranchito three times with our dear friends. We all love this cute, authentic, Mexican restaurant so much and we always sit at the same table every time we go there. The service is so good and the waiters/waitresses are so friendly! There are many Mexican options on the menu and the food is very reasonably priced. There are also great options on the kid’s menu and my kids love the food! The food is so delicious and tastes so fresh! There is so much space for seating up and down stairs! We have never had any problems here and would recommend it for people of any age!

Everything was amazing! Service by Tailyn was excellent, she was friendly and gave great recommendations. The food came so quickly and was delicious. We all became members of the clean plate club, highly recommend! The seasonal butters and drinks set this meal over the top!

Arrived at 3:30 (30 minutes before closing) and still happily served us. We sat outside and food arrived very quickly. Very nice staff, delicious food, and clean building. Would have added pictures of french toast but looked so good I forgot.

I ordered the Croque monsieur with tots and a slice of chocolate cake. And my husband got a bar-b-que sandwich with tots and corn chicken soup.

My husband’s order came out perfect, but even though we both ordered tots, I got a huge helping of fries instead. I saw the mistake immediately, but didn’t think it was worth sending my food back. We were on a tight schedule. And mistakes happen.

But I was about 3/4ths of the way into finishing my sandwich when my husband asked if my meal was alright, and I realized they forgot to serve the jam that was supposed to accompany my Croque monsieur. I knew something was missing but until he asked, I hadn’t stopped to take a hard look at what made my meal taste kind of 2-dimensional as opposed to one that is supposed to have layers of flavor built into it.

I’m sure they would have fixed their mistake if I would have said something. By that time, I had just a nub of sandwich left and we just didn’t have time to flag down someone to go fetch jam for my last two bites of sandwich.

The staff all seemed friendly enough, but their attention was really paid towards my husband as opposed to us both being on equal footing as customers. Maybe that’s why he had no issues with his order and I did. I guess one could forgive the faux pas because it is a common one almost everywhere you go. But I’m not here to be an apologist for the business. I’m strictly here relating what my experience was as a pseudo-mystery diner/food critic. Because that’s what Google restaraunt reviewers are basically.

The chocolate cake was probably a very good cake. But they keep their desserts presliced in a refrigerated case, and the edges of the cake and icing were dried out. We were there at around 2PM, so maybe if we came earlier around breakfast time, the cake would have been fresher. I don’t know. And the corn chicken soup was tasty.

It’s an alright place to grab a bite. 👍

We love Fairfax Coffee House. I feel 100% going inside due to their Covid precautions & mask requirements. The owners and staff are so nice and welcoming. All of the coffees and food we’ve gotten from them have been great. They make a great iced dirty chai. We recently rented the movie theater for a birthday party; then had sandwiches and cake at the coffee house. They let us do this after the coffee house had closed for the day. Trey was so great. She participated and made the day extra special. She didn’t even mind the sugar-hyped children running around. The coffee shop also has an amazing assortment of games for sale, and Trey is great at making recommendations. The only negative part of the coffee house is the fact it’s not closer to our house, but it’s a great treat when we go to the cabin for weekends.

Pics of some games we’ve purchased from them, my beloved dirty chai, Bday lunch set up, and their window.

Cute coffee shop with good food right across from the town park. I was traveling to visit family and it was easy to get to from the Country Inn. They even had water bowls outside for dogs.
